My husband and I found out on June 11, 2007 we were expecting (it was a total suprise)! We're having a boy, Carter.

I think labor is starting, I've been having contractions since 11 PM, and I haven't slept and can't eat! Hopefully this is it! Yes- I'm really nervous, but I'm ready, and I think he is too!

I called my OB- Dr. Rowland @ 1:00 PM, the contractions were about 5-7 minutes apart, so I went to the hospital. L&D only had one room left, and I guess it had my name on it! The nurse checked me and I was 3 cm dilated, and 90% effaced. I was hooked up to all the monitors and IV with IV fluids by 2:30 PM. By 3:00 PM, I opted for an epidural, and at 3:10 PM the anesthesiologist came in and attempted an epidural 3 times unsucessfully. My only other option was IV pain meds, my first dose was @ 3:30. Dr. Rowland came in to break my water @ 4:00 PM. I had my second dose of pain medication @ 5:30 PM. The nurse told me that when I reached 8 cm I wasn't allowed any type of medications. My next dose was due @ 7:30 PM, and I was 8 cm. At 7:45 PM I was 9 cm, and @ 8:00 PM I was 10 cm, and 100% effaced. I began pushing @ 8:10 PM, and my son was born @ 8:23 PM.
My little miracle is here! Carter Raymond was born @ 8:23 PM, was 7 lbs, 7ounces, 20 inches long, and absolutely perfect! He looks like his Daddy :)!
There's definitely something to be said about how great God is, and how awesome His miracles are- especially the miracle of life!
