Hey, nothing here yet!

Hello Everyone! My name is Jessica. I have a 14 month old daughter named Dakota. My Husband and I just got married on September 15th, 2007. We decided to start trying for another baby after Dakota turned 1. We got pregnant on our HONEYMOON!! What a great wedding gift :) With Dakotas birth, we were 10 days over due and went in to be induced. The induction didnt work and we were sent home at 1:30AM with no baby :( They said to call in 2 days to get in for another induction. We called each day & each day the delivery rooms were all full. Finally on day 13 past due, I had been having contractions all night long. We called the hospital again, I guess we were used to this routine. Yet again, they were full. We called my doc & she said to just go in. When we arrived I was 4cm dialated. They gave me some pit & an epidural- this was at 8AM. By 1:30AM I was dialated to 8cm and stayed there, then I caught a fever. This means you have an infection inside your uterus. At 3:30 the doctors decided that my uterus had given up & they wanted Dakota out. By 3:55AM we had delivered by c-section a beautiful, 9lb. 6oz girl. They had to take her to the NICU because of the infection I had in my uterus, aparently she is prone to it and they need to treat her reguardless. She was in there, the entire time we were in the hospital. Now that we have been through that, we know what we want & what we dont. I want a doctor that gives me the option of trying to having a regular vaginal birth or a c-section- I dont want a doctor that will decide for me. We are very excited & plan to have our 1st doctors apt. after we reach our 12th week. Monday, 12 Nov
HEY there friends, how are you feeling- any new symptoms?
I have been very tired these past two weeks. I pretty much feel sick all day, but never get sick, if ya know what I mean. This is my second baby and I am noticing changes much earlier that I did with my daughter. My hips already feel sore at night while I lay in bed. My regular jeans are not one bit comfortable! I bought a pair of maternity jeans this weekend. I have found that the mid belly jeans are the most comfortable, the ones that ride below the belly are constantly falling down! Say NO to crack ha ha. Arg, and my skin is breaking out like mad, I cant wait for that to go away. I have a meet and greet with a nice looking OB this Tuesday (13th). I sure hope she is the one, I would like to schedule my 1st apt. I will be twelve weeks on the 29th. I have told my immideate family but not my extended, I plan on telling them after our 1st apt. My aunt has been trying for sometime now, and told us a few weeks ago that they are expecting- turns out we are due on the exact same day! I didnt say anything to her when she way telling me about her morning sickness & how excited they were, I wanted her to have her moment- but all I could think was ME TOO! That time will come... TTYS Thursday, 29 Nov
We had our 1st apt. on the 27th! We got to hear our little ones heart beat, it was like a light bulb clicked on over my husbands head & he realized we were REALLY pregnant. This is our second miricle so I am already starting to show, although I just feel FAT :) I will post pictures soon! Thursday, 7 Feb
HI! Hope all of you are feeling good. We had our 21 week scan. Everything is right on track and developing as it should. The only thing they were worried about was my placenta being a little to close to my cervix. All that means is I have to have a scan at 32 weeks to make sure that it shifted- which they believe will happen. We did NOT find out the gender, but we have planned on not finding out from the beginning. I did find out with our 1st, but we think the element of surprise will be worth the wait. I will post pictures soon.

Tuesday, 25 Mar I have to do the same thing, 1 a week for the next 3 weeks. When the Dr said that it could lead to fetal death!! I said i'll do whatever I have to do!! Take care! angel435 -
Tuesday, 25 Mar I failed my one hour also. I'm going in the morning to take my 3hr one. I really don't know what happens if I fail it. I'm so nervous! christy33 -
Monday, 24 Mar I failed my GTT, and I refused to take the 3 hour one, actually I walked out after 3 sticks and refused to do any further testing. I go to Dr. tomorrow and i'm sure he'll give me the risks, i'll let you know what he says! lolabean08 -

Saturday, 16 Feb I completely agree with you and going past the due date. Since I had my last two vaginally I really wanted to have this one vaginally too. At first they were saying I would have to have a C-Section b/c of the abruption but the 20week ultrasound looked good and I haven't had any bleeding so the high risk OB doctors agreed that if this trend continues that I can deliver vaginally. They measured my belly and said that I am measuring high and now they said maybe I should worry now about having too big of a baby. I'm just happy he's growing so well. My last baby was 8lb 3oz and my doctor told me then that if he had been any bigger I wouldn't have been able to give birth to him. His shoulders got stuck after the head was out but she was able to turn the baby so they didn't have to break the collar bone. So hopefully this little guy isn't bigger then that or a C-Section may be in my future. CALISHELLS -
Wednesday, 13 Feb Hey lady. I was just reading your story about Dakota and I had a similar situation with my last son. I has a scheduled induction 2 days past my due date and it didn't work. They were about to send me home but then I started contracting on my own. I can't believe you were almost 2 weeks past due. Your little one was so big. I'm glad it all worked out though. What's your plan this time around? CALISHELLS -
Sunday, 10 Feb How exciting the birth will be since you don't know your baby's sex!! I wish I could do that but I just have to know. How much did your baby weigh at your 21 week scan? CALISHELLS -
