my name is jessica, im 21 years old and just had my first baby :) im the oldest of 6 children.. and they all just became aunts & uncles for the first time. i graduated highschool 2005 &&shortly after went to school to become a medical assistant, which i love!! being in the medical field is a rewarding career when you see the looks on peoples face when they feel as they've been 100% taken care of. i hope to one day go back to become a nurse, but for now thats put to the side and my child comes forst no matter what! im also on myspace if you like that better, myspace.com/jessann1219

andrew is ((so i hope &&feel)) the love of my life! we've been together 3years and still going strong. we met originally in the grocery store where i used to work, then again at the gas station &&yet again at a mutual friends &&we've been together ever since :) he's the youngest of 4 boys, they're all grown &&either have or are starting they're own familes &&i love that :) he's a mechanic on semi trucks, and he's not 100% trained, but in the learning for sure &&that's just his thing, he loves his job and what he does, which is rewarding for anyone!!

we werent in anyway planning a baby.. we didnt want our first for at least a few more years, and def. wanted to get married and buy a house first, but hey life oesnt usually go as planned so there we were pregnant and didnt know what to do!? i found out august 8, 2007 @work that i was pregnant and i instantly panicked because i thought andy was gonna kill me, lol i knew he wasn't going to be happy about it! i told the girls at work, and lucky for me the dr i worked for let me have blood drawn to find out exactly how far along i was.. 3weeks!! i couldn't believe that i knew so early in pregnancy that i was pregnant, but my body knew for sure! all i wanted to do was sleep sleep and sleep some more, my parents were getting worried that i was really sick or something because everytime the saw me i was completely exhausted. andy wasnt as mad &&upset than i thought he was going to be, for sure nervous tho because it's a big commitment and life change for both of us, but we decided that we'd get thru it just fine with each others support &&love! our due date was april 10, 2008 and that day just couldn't come soon enough!! i have a 2 year old little sister so most of everything was handed down to me, with the big stuff anyways.. my parents did all her big stuff neutral colors because they knew that grandkids werent too far off for them. my baby shower was feb 9, 2008 and it was wonderful, everything i got was soo useful to us and when i came home my daddy, step dad && andrew had an absolutely beautiful bedroom set waiting for me, it was a wonderful day =D my parents were exceptionally happy about the baby because for them this is the first grandchild in the family.. they couldnt wait to be grandparents before any of them hit 40, lol!

we found out november 21, 2007 that we were expecting a little boy!! omg i couldnt have been more excited!! ive always wanted to have a baby boy for my first child and there he was on that screen.. sooo now it came the time to decide on names, lol that was a fun experience for sure! all the names i liked he hated, all the ones he liked i hated.. so it felt like a never ending battle between the two of us!! we knew we were using andy's last name.. and we knew we were using lee for the middle, simply because it was a family thing within his family.. so we had to get a first name that went well with the middle and last!! finally andy suggested corey and it was just perfect and we both liked it, so corey lee it is!! :)

the day finally came, which i thought it was never going to get here!! friday march 28, 2008 i had a normal check up with the dr nothing special.. i hadnt change at all in dilation ((still at 2cm)) 75% effaced and my due date was a week away. march 30 is andrews birthday and we were really hoping that we'd get lucky and he get his son for his birthday, when i explained this to the dr she decided we'd scrape membranes to see if we could get things moving along alittle faster for me. saturday evening i lost my mucos plug &&wow was i excited, andys birthday was the next day i was hoping wed get lucky and things would speed along.. but nope, no baby for his birthday so a few more days of being miserable for me :( tuesday april 1,2008 my girlfriend &&i decided to go walk around the mall in hopes that i could naturally make something happen in there, but at the same time i was starting to think that corey was comfortable and didnt want out any time soon, but for a walk we went anyways!! we walked for 3 hours before going home, in the mean time andy was out getting drunk w. his brother, i told him to not get too drunk just in case, but by time he called me at 10pm that night he was beyond drunk.. i had a bad feeling about that situation for sure! andrew and i got into a huge fight on the way home from me picking him up from the bar, he was soo drunk he could barely walk and i was due to go into labor at any moment! ((i could have killed him)) 630am wednesday april 2, 2008 my water broke =) again i was super excited because the contractions started immediately and were 10-15min apart.. i woke andrew up but he was too hung over to deal with me at the moment, so i called the hospital and she told me i had a few hours and to come in about 930 or so, so i let andy sleep while i made sure i had everything together like i needed. we got to the hospital contractions were 1-3min apart and still not horrible.. i was for sure he was coming that day!! ((but of corse not!!)) i was dilated to 2.5cm and 100%efface so we were just waiting on the dilation process.. they were rather fast in the hospital that day and got me into a room almost instantly it seemed and the waiting game began :) dilation was slow but efficient enough on my own they didnt want to start patocin right away, first 2.5cm then 3cm then 4cm then 6cm.. i was at 6 for probably about 18 hours then they decided to start patocin.. so then i finally gave in and got an epidural because i was having pure back labor and i was miserable as it was and when they said they were starting patocin i gave in because i knew it was just going to get worse!! so after 20hours of labor i broke down and got an epidural and omg it was wonderful!! but at that point i had like a second run of energy and was ready to stay up and chit chat with my company who had stayed all night waiting for coreys arrival! i finally got to sleep about 430ish then they were in waking me up to check dilation and i was at 7cm.. about 30min later they checked me again because his heart rate was dropping and they were worried that he went to long without fluids.. i was 10cm and they got me on oxygen and had me get on my hands and kness to see if we could get his heartrate back up so we could start to push!! his heartrate came back just fine on its own and about 545ish i felt i needed to start pushing, they went and got the dr ((who happened to be my ob on call that night)) and we started pushing at 6am and he was here by 612am.. he was beautiful and those cries were a wonderful sound to my ears!

wow, im finally a mommy!! after 39 long weeks of pregnancy and 24hrs of painful labor, im a mommy and my little man finally made it into the world, healthy and happy!! corey lee was born 612am 4-3-2008 ((my mother-in-laws b'day)) 7lb 7oz 20inches long.. he was a beautiful mix of both mommy and daddy and we couldnt have been more proud of him! he was absolutely gorgeous, it was truely amazing to finally see that little face that was being made inside of me all those long months!! the love you can have for such a little person you barely know is amazing, love at first sight for sure! i was kind of surprised because i didnt cry.. i was more excited about finally getting to meet him than anything else ((andy teared up a little, it was sooo sweet)) it was love at first sight for everyone who has met this little miracle so far! i definetly want at least one more in the future.. a few years from now but the misery and pain is worth it all in the end :)

April 4,2008-we came home today :) and met the puppy dogs ((who just loved him instantly)) &&had a nice quite night at home watching movies and enjoying our new baby boy.. and the so far joys of parenting :)

April 7,2008-1st dr appt @ 830am.. he was now 7lb2oz.. but nothing to be concerned with :) everything is going good so far, i couldnt be happier with him. corey also lost his umbilical cord today!! yay now he can have a real bath, i cant wait!

April 13,2008-corey had his first bath today and he hated it, lol. we caught it all on video and took tons of pictures, hes going to hate it when he gets older but the memories will be wonderful to look back upon as he grows!

April 15,2008-we went for a walk today with aunt jenny and the kids, it was his first long walk in his stroller and he was a little crabby near the end but for the most part he seemed to enjoy the fresh air!

April 16,2008-we went and finally had his birth announcements made so we can get them mailed out to everyone, they're sooo cute!! i love being a mom and taking care of this little person!

April 17,2008-went to dr today, corey has been throwing up all his food, grr!! turns out hes just eating too much, lol so now hes only allowed 2oz every 2hr instead of 2-3oz every 3-4hr i feel so mean not letting him have what he wants, but i cant let him puke it all up either, soits for the best! he now weighs 7lb10oz :)

April 20,2008-we went and had corey's newborn pictures done today!! we went to jcpennys and they did a wonderful job!! we get to pick up all his pics may 2nd and im soo thrilled, he wasnt all that happy with getting his pictures taken so we had a bit of a rough day after and a little bit during but thats ok its all worth it in the end.. lol we were the last clients at the studio and we were there for 3hrs fighting with corey on and off to get a full shoot because he was just that miserable at moment, hehe! oh and we went to andrews dad's after the photos.. and corey rolled over all by himself :) yay! i knows its early for that but im super excited, hes such a strong little guy.

April 21,2008-2wk dr appt today, hes perfectly healthy and happy, dr was very impressed with howalert he is :) hes now 7lb13oz 21.5" hes in the 25% for growth, and so far everything is going great!! she thinks he may be an early walker because he rolled over on his own last night and his muscle tones seem to be awesome, im so proud of my little man! so far so good.. another dr appt in 6weeks unless we have problems in the meantime :)
