Hi, my name is Jessica. My boyfriend and I are both excited about the baby on the way!! I found out that I was pregnant on July 13th. The first person I told was my sister who has been supportive and helpful through everything!! Then I told my boyfriend!! Then his mom, then mine and my grandma. My moods are constantly changing. My boobs are already a cup bigger! And my morning sickness comes and goes.

I can't wait until I am a Mommy!!

I am having a little girl. I am due March 7th. My boyfriend and I have been together since January 4th, 2006. We plan to name our little girl Hailey Lynn Hedden.

I just got back from the Dr's. Her heart rate was 150 bpm. I also did the glucose screening. It gave me a little headache. I don't think the stuff tastes bad. In case anyone was wondering like I was, it is ok to eat before the test, as long as you don't eat anything high in sugar.

My next appointment is on Jan. 3rd. I am supposed to start doing kick counts today.

Happy Holidays everyone!!
I am almost 31 weeks pregnant now and am so excited about how soon it will be until my little girl gets here!! I have a Dr.'s appointment tomorrow and I am excited to hear her heart beat again!!

Wow, 35 weeks have gone by and I am almost at the finish line!!! I can't wait until our little girl decides to come. My next appointment is on Tuesday the 5th, hopefully they will check my cervix to see if anything is starting to happen. I hope there is something going on down there. Only one more month left!!! I'll add a little something after my appointment.

Well, I just got back from the Dr. She is head down!! The Dr. said that she can still turn, so I can't relax totally yet. Her heart rate was 150 bpm. I was told that I need to stop gaining weight :( How mean. I have gained 38 pounds, so it is a bit already. The women in my family gain an average of 70 pounds during pregnancy, so I think I am doing good. I only have 4 1/2 weeks left until my due date!! I was hoping they would check me, but my Dr. said that they do not do it at my Dr.s office anymore because of the risk of spreading an infection to the baby. My next appointment is in 2 weeks. I'll add some more then,

I just got back from my appointment. The Dr. did a quick u/s. She is head down!!!I have a pic of her little fist, it is so amazing!! She looks so much different now than she did in the earlier u/s's. Her head took up the whole screen :) It was really hard to see anything because she is so big now, but it was still a wonderful experience. I saw her little ribs move as her heart beat and I loved it!! Her heart rate is 130, a bit lower than it has been, but still normal. I go back to the Dr. on the 28th, then I have another appointment scheduled for March 7th, my due date. I hope I don't have to go to that one and that she is here before then.

Hey congrats on the little girl. Well i had my doc appointment today and it was just depressing. I found out i have strecth marsk on my tummy that i just got!!!theni found out i need a c section which will happen sometime this week. I really wanted a natrual birth and i cant have one. I guess its what ever is better for my little boy though.

How are you? Any signs of labor soon to come?

No cost whatsoever. If I have antenatal appointments with my Doctor, its free. If i go for a homebirth then a midwife comes to my home to do antenatal appointments and thats free too. Anything to do with pregnancy is free except a part-charge for an ultrasound. ($45)

Hi I don't know how to tell how far it is I guess only by asking your doctor! I just figure mine was pretty far b\c I was very sore and my bladder was in pain and my doctor said it!! good luck you don't have long !!!

I was never nervous I was suprised in the begining but know I am really happy and can't wait for them to be here. Let me know how that IUD works for you since I am going to have to look for a new birth control after I give birth.

Hey I love answering questions and I'm only too happy to share my experiences if theres a chance they can help others. In New Zealand it doesn't cost the mother anything to have a baby so we don't need insurance. I can't believe how much it costs in other countries. My smallest baby was 7lb 8oz. My heaviest was my first homebirth and he was HUGE. . .10lb 3oz. Ouch!!! It was an excellent birth though and he was a fine big baby. My first baby born was 8lb even.

My 1st was an epidural and forceps delivery because my cervix didnt dilate past 3cm but they had induced me and from all the experience Ive had since then, I firmly believe that they induced me far too early and my body wasn't ready yet.
My 2nd birth I had pethidine. Both 1st and 2nd were born in hospital. But the last 6 have been completely unmedicated homebirths.
I find it hard to determine how long a labour is. It depends when you take the start from. If you take it from the first regular contractions then some of my labours have been quite long, like about 12hrs. Others have been on again off again and mucked around for a couple of days. But if you take it from when you have to start really concentrating on breathing through each contraction then they are usually only about 3 or 4 hours max. The length of the labour also depends mostly on the presentation of the baby. Quite a few of mine have been posterior, (babies spine against mothers spine) which can make it take longer for the cervix to dilate. But all in all I have been blessed with normal healthy labours and births.

Hey there I read you worries abut the info you need form the IUD. Well I got the Mirena IUD after I had my first baby but it did not work for me because I lasted months with out having my period plues my husband always told me he felt it and something hurt so I guess it just depends wich one you get cause there are differnt ones. WEll good luck I am having 2 girls

Wow you are getting very near the end. So I guess you could go into labour any time from now on? Mine are always 2 wks overdue. Try not to be anxious about anything. Relax as much as you can. Do you imagine going thru labour and giving birth. I used to spend a lot of time in late pregnancy visualising how it would all go, in great detail. I'm sure it all helps.

Hi there, thanks for your comments. I have 5 girls and 3 boys. I don't know what sex the baby is yet. We prefer t wait until the birth. Its very exciting. Even tho its my 9th, it duzn't stop being soooo exciting growing a baby. I love being a mum and having a large family and actually this has been my best pregnancy so far. They've all been good but I feel so healthy and fit with this one. Hope that means an easy birth. lol

Boys are ddoing good. Tanner is sick right now but other than that he is good. Dean just started at a new daycare yesterday and he did great!! THANK GOD! I was stressing. But he is less than a mile away from where I work so I am super close which I like. Anywho.. Im at work so Id better do a better job of pretending Im busy, haha!!

thanks for the comment - i know how you feel! Whilst my in laws are the only ones demanding certain names my own mother keeps suggesting new ones even though i've made up my mind already! It doesn't help that my mum has terrible taste in names and tries to chose the weirdest things i've ever heard of. I just smile politely and ignore her, and everyone else! congrats on the pregnancy, i see you haven't got long to wait until you meet your little girl so good luck!
