Tanner is here!!!!

Well as some of you know I was being induced Monday Feb 4th in the morning. I woke up very early Monday morning around 12:30-1 w/ alittle blood w/ my mucus and started to have mild contractions which I didn't time cause I was going to be induced anyways. I checked in the hospital at 5:30 AM and got the IV running and settled in waiting for the Dr who was coming in at 7 AM Still was getting contractions and some were stronger than others. When the Dr came I told her about my contractions and she said lets see and I was 4-5 cm dilated! So I think if I wasn't going to induced he still would of been born that day. I started being induced alittle after 7:30 AM. She started me off slowly and the nurse uped it every 30 mins. The contractions started getting more intense and I knew that the time was getting closer. Water still didn't break. I went to the bathroom at a certain point noticing I had the urge to push so I did while no one was looking. I kept pushing when I had to and just as I was going to call for the nurse to tell her I have to push cause I could feel his head down there and she walked in. As soon as I said I have to push my water broke! I kept on pushing by myself as she got the Dr. So I got on the bed and the Dr. let me continue to push on my own! I wish you could of seen it, I was doing everything myself while they were getting their stuff on. All the Dr really did was catch him and I sort of helped too! I almost got away w/ no tearing or anything but Tanner's hand came out w/ his head scratching me, what she called a custom tear so I got acouple 2-3 stiches He was born sunny side up at 9:27AM, about 2 hrs after my induction and no pain meds! He weighed 7pds 8oz and is 20" tall. He has alittle jaundice. He is such a cutie! I can't believe he's here and I did all the work myself! W/ my others I had to hold my knees and have someone hold my feet and this time I just layed as comfortable as I could get and pushed him out. It is an experience I'll never forget!

karenc - Monday, 26 May
ugh, so the teething thing is def kicking up hard the last few days. we had another incident of not being able to nurse today. I had some pumped milk in the fridge that he took and for the first few minutes he kept breaking off and crying. then he finished & I was able to get him to nurse for a while, tho he still seemed to be in pain. what a bummer this is, lol! you said the tablets work for a little while, right?

I usually dont give her it unless she is crying but I am trying to see if i can enterian her more instead of giving her the binkie to see if that helps. I don't mind when she is tired..

how about a teenager at 3 a.m. last night smashed up the side of our parked truck.... ugh! So that is what we can to deal with today.

shortncrazy2 - Saturday, 24 May
Do you think it's too early to try to slowly cut Izzy back off her binky some. I'm trying to only let her have it when she is tired..before she would use it alot. She is to the point where she can pull it and out stick it back in her mouth so I am trying to keep it put up until i think she really needs it.

it was about 30 minutes before I went into labor I remember the nurses thought it was weird that I wasn't in pain yet.
pads! I had a freaking hand towel in my pants.. I did't make a mess in the hospital but that thing was soaked as could be when I could remove it to change for the surgery.

One Flaw In Women

Women have strengths that amaze men.
They bear hardships and they carry burdens,
but they hold happiness, love and joy.
They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy
and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in.
They stand up to injustice.
They don't take 'no' for an answer
when they believe there is a better solution.
They go without so their family can have.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel
and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about
a birth or a wedding.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They grieve at the loss of a family member,
yet they are strong when they
think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss
can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.
They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you
to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning.
They bring joy, hope and love.
They have the compassion and ideas.
They give moral support to their
family and friends.
Women have vital things to say
and everything to give.

HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,
IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.

Yes a huge puddle. I from my bedroom , down the steps (that path is all carpet) I open the dinning room door to let the dogs out in the morning and when I went to turn to close the door behind them my water broke. My hubby was still upstairs sleeping so I was yelling for him because I didnt want to try to go up the steps becuase it was just pouring every where.

shortncrazy2 - Friday, 23 May
Oh, I know. I felt bad that Robbie had to clean up the house from when my water broke. At least we have wood floors and not carpet where it broke.

shortncrazy2 - Friday, 23 May
at times he can be a baby.. his thing is he hates laying around and doing nothing so it's a fight to get him to rest so he will feel better.
I can say when I am sick he usually dont help me, but after my surgery he was a big help around the house. I think the fact that he was in the room when they did the c-section made him realize what I was going through. He said he will never forget all the blood from that day. (of course I didn't see any of that, and if I did I was too drugged up to know).
