Hello everyone. My name is Jessica. I am 24 years old. I am a part time marketing specialist and I have the priviledge of working at home. I am also a student majoring in business at UOP. I am the mother of Mikayla and wife of almost 2 years to Justin.

As some of you know in March - March 8th- I suffered a miscarriage. It was my 1st miscarriage - 2nd pregnancy. Well Im back. 5 weeks after the miscarriage I got pregnant again! I hope Im here to stay...but I have a good feeling this time!!!

Well I found out on Sunday the 20th. This time the doctors wanted to do all the tests and scans available to make sure everything is fine. I was birthcontrol for the past 3 weeks and not mention some other meds. So the blood work was done yesterday and ordered STAT. The nurse called me with a chuckle to her voice. She said " Well I have some interesting news, your pregnant, yep and pretty far along... more then a couple of weeks...Im guessing between 7 and 9 weeks." So she sent me to have a STAT u/s. I saw the heartbeat. Im measuring 7 weeks. Im due January 9th. Both the tech and the nurse said everything looks wonderful. So I have my first appointment with my midwife on June 1st. Things are going well. Better then my pregnancy with my daughter. Ive been nauseous on and off...worse in the evening and first thing in the morning. But no vomiting or anything. Just tired and a really bad stuffy nose. All worth it though!!! Ok... Im feeling nauseous so Im going to go rest.

I have been so nauseous!!! Sometimes it is better then other times. For the last week I have only been able to stomach breads and cereal and bagels. Nothing to sweet or spicy...just bland. Although yesterday I wanted mac n cheese, so I ate some, yummy. By the time I get home from work Im dead tired. My husband has been so helpful with my daughter...giving her a bath and making dinner. I feel so bad because Im am of no help. I told him only another 3-4 weeks and I should start feeling better. My breasts have been starting to hurt, and Im having upper back discomfort on and off. My stomach is already starting to show a little. I have a little pouch. Im sure this is due to the fact that this is my third pregnancy, second child. My doctors appointment is in 6 days, June 1st at 10 am. We will see how it goes. Does anyone know when they listen to the babys heart beat for the first time? Im thinking 12 weeks, but Im not sure.

Ok so the nausea is still there but not as bad. It is controllable if I eat every 2 hours. Once my stomach starts to hurt I have to eat something small...even if I dont want to. I had my OB appointment on June 1st. My midwife said my uterus is large....definetly pregnant! But for some reason she sent me for another HCg. Plus she did a CBC. HCG???? She said it was because I am high risk and she really wants to keep an eye on my pregnancy. I havent had any spotting or bleeding so its a good thing. She said I am "out of the woods" with an early miscarriage at @ 11 weeks. So I have 2 1/2 weeks left!!! I am so nervous to find out my HCg results tomorrow. But I would think if my HCG did drop I would start spotting. Plus, I am having ligament aches. I feel pregnant...but still have anxiety about this. In my 2nd trimester I think I will feel much better.Wednesday I will be 9 weeks. Im getting closer to my 2nd trimester!

So, I stayed home today from work. Because lucky me, I could not get away from the toilet this morning. My first bout of morning sickness! It sucks. I called my boss to tell her I would be in late, and then I just decided to work from home. Im so dizzy a yucky feeling. I want yucky phase to be over with now!!!

Ahhhh! I got soooo sick last night. Right before bed, it just happened...and would not stop! Im confused, wasnt this supposed to happen a few weeks ago, not almost in my 12th week? Im gagging over everything. It is so frustrating!

June 24th

...and the sickness continues!!!! Why even eat??? Its gonna come back up. And the wort part is I eat and then two seconds later get sick...feel better and then I wanna eat again! Its just wrong.

June 29th

I woke up this morning and boy was I sick. I couldnt stay out of the bathroom. Yuck! On the up side I went to my 12 week appointment. I heard the heartbeat!!!! 160 BMP The baby moved and made a thump noise. I counldnt feel the baby though. Hopefully I will start to in the next two weeks. Im so excited. This appointment reassured me. Its really sinking in now.

July 10th

I am feeling so much better!!! The nausea is very minimal now. I have more energy - still tired alot but much improved. The only thing is this stupid heat - 100 degrees outside!!! Its killer. I was supposed to go to a baseball game tomorrow but I have to skip it because it is too hot and the air is so thick outside. 2 more weeks until my next appointment. I will start me Progesterone shots. They are a gluteal injection (on the buttock) ahhhh! They are the worst. I will get them every week until I am either 36 weeks. That way I will not have another preemie. 14 weeks tomorrow!!! Yay!

July 17th

Things are going great. I have more energy. I started feeling flutters last week. Ever since yesterday I have felt moving!!! Like waves in my uterus. Its crazy. It happens in the afternoon. I love it. My boobs hurt soooo bad. I feel like they are going to fall off. OUCH!!!! Next week is my checkup!!! 3 more weeks till we find out the sex. Im so excited.

Well things are going great. Couldnt ask for more. Aside from an eye trauma and an ear infection! But the pregnancy itself has been wonderful. Im showing!!! And feeling the baby move. Its more then quickening - I feel actual movement. Not all the time- just every once in a while. I went to Target last night and walked around for a while and my stomach started feeling really heavy and I was having ligament pains. I can imagine what Im going to be like in 2-3 months! Im 17- 1/2 weeks. I found out the sex in a week!!!! Im so excited. Oh and last night I made my first baby items purchase. A pack of 3 onesies. One says I love Daddy, one says I love Mommy, and the other says Love me. We say that the love me one is the one that represents Mikayla ( my daughter), because she said there are no onesies that say I love my Sister. Awww. I felt so bad. I will have to find something that says that. I also bought bootie rattles that go on the feet and wrist rattles. They are soooo cute!!!

WELL...everyone was wrong!!!! We got to see the baby. And.....

My second girl!!! The lady said thats what I see, but in your 3rd trimester you can always get it checked again. But, I saw it too and there was no peepee! ITS A GIRL My daughter really wanted a boy but she is starting to come around to the idea that we are having a girl. She was soooo active. Moving all around and kickin.I cant wait!!!

August 19th:

I ordered the crib and bedding. The crib is a dark cherry sleigh crib. THe dresser matches and so does the rocking chair.

August 30th

I had another weekly Progesterone shot today...man this one really hurt!!!! Usually it does not bother me but today for some reason I am hurting. I got to hear Sophia's heartbeat today. It was soooo loud. 160 bpm. She has been moving. Indigestion was killer today! I had to take a Tums because it got so bad. I went to the store the other day and picked up socks, a few outfits and some receiving blankets. We got the crib...but still waiting on the bedding. Its ok though no rush. The basement wont be finished for another 2-3 weeks, and until then we cant move the computer furniture out of the babies room to the downstairs...so no setting up the crib and painting the room for at least another month :( I had a total breakdown today. My daughter started Kindergarten. She was getting on the bus and I lost it. I started bawling like a baby!!! My little girl is all grown up! BUT she will always be my little girl!Thats about it for now. 3 more weeks until my next checkup!!

Sophia is getting so big!!! I can feel her kicking all the time now. Her daddy felt her move and my mom and Mikayla. At work when Im sitting quiet and typing Sophia will start kicking and the girls in my office can see it...it is the most amazing feeling!!! I love her so much already. Only 13 more weeks!!!....or maybe less. Im so excited. The room is painted. Almost all of her clothes are washed and in drawers. This Friday Daddy is putting up the crib. Yay!!!

I had my 28 week appointment today. I start going to see the midwife every other week now. Sophia was extremely active and mad about the doppler. She made several attempts at trying to kick it off of my stomach. The midwife told me I am measuring at 29 weeks not 28. We are getting closer!!!!

I think it is so funny how a pregnant woman needs so much sleep but finds herself towards the end of pregnancy waking up constantly in the middle of the night! Either Im peeing, or I have leg cramps, or Im just waking up for no reason at all. My belly gets itchy at night even though Im using cocoa butter like crazy. For the past 4 or 5 nights I wake up between 3-4am and then can't get back to sleep for an hour...so I watch tv and then fall asleep. On work days I have to get up at 6 anyways so its almost like why even try to go back to sleep? This sleeping thing is just not happening...hmmmm sounds like Im preparing for the little one!

I went to my baby check up appointment today. All is well :) The midwife did say that Sophia is lying breach right now...but it is possible she will turn. If she does not in the next couple of weeks...off to get an u/s..and then discuss what we want to do. PLEASE NO C-SECTION! She told me I need to talk to Sophia and get her to move and turn head down. But Im scared that she will turn and I will go into labor! Mikayla turned and I had nothing but problems after that....no premature births allowed this time! 2 weeks and I go back and we shall see!

Well I woke up this morning with cramping. YUCK! It hurts. So I called my midwife and was send to L&D...again! They monitored me. Sophia was healthy and heart rate is great. They ran a bunch of tests on me. When it came time for the internal exam, I was told that she is really low....but Im not dialated. So...they told me no more work! Its impossible for me not to work...I have to have a second income. Not to mention the fact that my boss is not going to be happy. Well I decided to work from home the next 5 weeks until 36 weeks. Once Im 36 weeks Im released and can go back to work. I will go into work only on Thursdays. And tough shit if my boss is upset....my childs life and well being is more important.

Im almost done!!! This is so crazy. Im so restless...barely sleeping and constantly feeling the need to clean as of yesterday. It is crazy to think that in 4 weeks Im finished with my progesterone shot and the midwife said I could go at anytime- but hopefully not any earlier. We are finishing up with getting all of the finishing touches of the things we need for the baby. I will never feel I have EVERYTHING. My mom is taking my grandmother shopping at babies r us the first week of December to get me some more things I still need and well things that I want. This is so exciting! On another note...tomorrow is my first baby's birthday. She is turning 6! God Im getting old! I feel like I just gave birth to her yesterday. I miss her being a baby...but then again I love how independent she is and how great of a personality she has developed. I feel so blessed.

Yay she flipped! I went to the doctors today and the midwife said that she has flipped and shes head down like shes supposed to be! Im so happy. Hopefully she will be a smart baby and stay like that. I have to start my fetal count sheet. Between that and counting how many contractions I have in an hour Im gonna go crazy! But all well worth it. 53 days!!!! Getting closer :)

Where do I begin??? I received my Progesterone shot this past Friday and the nurse could tell I was having some cramping and severe pressure. She asked if I was having contractions. I said yes and about every 10-15 minutes apart. So with my history and the fact that this is my second baby she sent me to L & D. I was hooked up to the contraptions in L & D on to find out I was contracting every 3-5 minutes and getting more intense and more frequent. The midwife checked me and I'm "1-1/2 to 2 cm dialated" She said closer to 2. So after 3 shots of turb the contractions stabilized. Still having them though...but not as bad. The next day the pressure increased so I went back...but thankfully I havent dialated any more. THe midwife said to at least hold off until 35 weeks but she would be happier to see me go at 36+. Im trying to rest as much as possible. Its scary but a relief to know there is an end in sight! Only 8 more cm to go...haha. To think next week Im 35 weeks...my last week of month 8!!! Time is flying!

I had to make another trip to the hospital!! I noticed all day on Saturday everytime I stood up I had to run to the bathroom thinking I had to pee....and nothing would come out! It was frustrating. Then the contractions started plus lower back ache. So I called my midwife, and of course she told me to make my appearance again at L&D. I went in with contractions 3-5 minutes apart. But they werent lasting long. They would last about 30 seconds. But they hurt! My midwife checked me and I am now 3.5 cm. and 60% effaced. Once I hit 4 Im considered to be in active labor and she said that is usually when you efface the other 40%. But my midwife wants to see me hold her in until Wednesday. It hurts so bad. She is so low and everytime I walk I feel her head grinding into my pelvic bones! OUCH. So, Im hoping to have a little one in the next week or so. If I havent gone into active labor by Wednesday Im walking this baby out!

I had my appointment today. I am still at 3 cm but my cervix is very soft...which is one step closer. Plus she said the baby is very low! I told her I know I can feel it. I got my Group B strep test done. My midwife gave me the labor and delivery procedures paper. She told me that they do not let you go past 41 weeks pregnant...they will induce. She asked me questions about pain medication i want and who will be in the room and if Im breast feeding. She also said to make sure I put the carseat in the car now just in case. Because Im far along now that the baby will come home with us and should not need to stay. I go back on Tuesday! Im so excited. Sophia's arrival is right around the corner!!!! ...

update ...yeah literally right around the corner! Sophia Josephine Fabrizio made here entrance into the world on December 15, 2007 at 9:28 p.m. with a powerful set of lungs and a full head of hair...she is gorgeous!!!!

Wow its hard to believe Sophia is almost 7 weeks old. She arrived December 15th. It was a fast labor but extremely painful. My epidural didnt work and by the time it was in place within 10 minutes later I was pushing her out. Things have been going well. Establishing a routine is the only thing that gets me through the day sometimes. With 2 kids it can be overwhelming..but all worth it. Sophia is starting to sleep longer through the night. Last night she slept for 5 hours straight! I felt spoiled. She usually wakes up every 2-3 hours. She is beginning to develop a little personality. She has her moody moments and she is most def a mommas girl. I am the only one that can calm her down when she is having a "moody moment." She is stubborn too. She hates bottles and pacifiers. It worked out well though because I am now a work at home mom. I wake up in the morning shower and get the kids ready, take Mikayla to school and by 9 I am at home to start working. I work about 5 hours a day. Which is perfect for taking care of Sophia too. I will begin a sales job soon also which is as parttime or fulltime as I want it to be. Im self employed with the sales position, so I control my schedule. Needless to say life is amazing. I wanted nothing more than than to stay with the kids so I dont miss out on anything and my wish came true. Plus I save 700$ a month in daycare! Cant beat that!

February 17th

Wow Sophie is 2 months old! She has more and more personality everyday. She is smiling and finds things funny. I love when I am holding her and talking to someone and she is staring at me and studying my face and the way I talk. When I look down she will flash a little smile...almost like she saying "you caught me". She is so adorable and I just love her with all of my heart. Mikayla has been such a big helper. I am so lucky to have two gorgeous daughters!!! Shots are on Tuesday...Im so nervous. I dont want to see her cry :(

How time flys!!! Sophia is already over 3 months old. She is sooo precious and loving. She smiles and laughs. She loves her play gym, she actually hits the toys and babbles. When she lays on her stomach she holdser head up high for about 5 or 6 minutes and then it gradually sinks lower and lower. I was told by my doctor not to give her rice cereal until she is 5 months, but the poor girl acts like she is starving sometimes. She acts hungry every hour. This has been going on for the past week. So, I decided to start giving her very diluted cereal and only 2 or 3 spoon fulls ( baby spoon fulls). She holds it in her mouth and looks at me as if she doesnt know what to do with it ... then she swallows it. Tomorrow is Easter!! The girls have an egg hunt at my parents today...so Mikayla is very excited for the both of them.
