Hi Everyone !

My name is Lauren and I am pregnant with my 2nd child. My husband is currently in Iraq for the 3rd time. He is active duty and a E-6 in the Army. This will be my 2nd pregnancy alone. We already have a 4 year old girl name Leia who means everything to me. I had a rough pregnancy with her being that I had preclampsia (yuck). Hopefully I won't get it again ! We tried for 2 years while he was home and not being deployed but I guess it just wasn't time. I really wanted to make Leia a big sister while her daddy was home. But as God has planned for everyone he had the time in his own way. I am not as scared as I was the first time but I am a little concered about my daughter adjusting to the new baby. God bless our Troops !!

December 05,2007 - So close to week 9 now. I am starting to feel much better. I am still very sore in my chest area. I am also starting that crampy feeling. My mood has been very sad lately. Just missing my Husband Alot. He has been gone a lil over a month and still has 13 more months to go ! I am still very tired. 15 more days til my first ultrasound and I can't wait !!

December 20, 2007- So today I had my 11 week apt. What a f**king joke that was. I walk in there and I am freaking out cause of the past injections and x-rays and meds that I was on before I knew I was pregnant which some of the stuff causes birth defects. So Here I am I walk in and I start crying cause my Prego emotions are going f**king nuts !! And she is like what's wrong. Well I talked to her about all the stuff that had happened those first couple weeks of pregnancy and how concerned I am that I"m having a deformed baby or something, because all birth defects happen in the first 3 months. I haven't heard the heart beat or even seen the baby yet. So she then said that she was going to send me to some specialist in Savannah and I have to talk to them about all the stuff that was done to me before I knew I was pregnant. Well anyways, I guess the first apt you just get a PAP and talk about your blood work. I don't know how everyone else is getting ultrasounds done at like 6-8-9-12 weeks and shit and I can't even get 1 and I am 11 weeks. What do they want to wait til the baby is f**king born??????? I HATE WINN ARMY !!!! WHEN AM I GOING TO FINALLY HEAR THE BABY OR SEE IT?? I was so mad. I asked her and she said well you get your first ultrasound at 20 weeks. I WAS LIKE WHAT? With my daughter I had an ultrasound at least 5 times. I am so depressed. Well anyways. She said ok well lets hear the baby's heart beat FINALLY she must of had a change of heart cause I was crying again lol !! She puts the thing on she couldn't find a heart beat she looked for a couple mins. Then she said I'm going to get the portable ultrasound. So she gets that and I was like FINALLY I'm GOING TO SEE MY BABY !! NO...She looks for the baby and finds it and then she saw the heart beat and said it's there. I was like can I see it. Oh you will get that ultrasound at 20 weeks or the specialist that you are going to will give you a better one. She then said you wouldn't be able to see it very good anyways cause it's so grainy. OMG I could of punched her. I guess I feel a bit better knowing the baby is in there and there is a heart beat which I would of loved to heard. I guess I have to wait for the specialist for the rest.

December 21, 2007- So today I am feeling much better. Trying not to think about the what ifs. I forgot to mention that I didn't gain any weight when I got weighed at the doctors !!! Yesterday I ordered a Dobbler and should be getting it on Monday. Tomorrow I leave to go to my parents for the holidays. I can't wait to finally be around people I love and that care about me. I need that support right now. I miss my husband so much. My friend who is pregnant with twins told me about this place where my parents live that does free ultrasounds it's a training place for ultrasound techs. So I am going to try to get in and get one done. I got the strangest message from a lady on here today telling me she knew what I was having and his name and basicly that he was only going to live for a year. WTF are people nuts? I don't need that kind of talk. That's just plain rude !! I didn't even ask for her prediction non the less I blocked her. I love the women on here though. Everyone is so supportive. My husband is really starting to get excitied. He is already talking about taking the family to Disney World lol.. Although it's a great thought we have been there 7 times. I think it's time we try something new ! Haven't had any M/S in a while although I still feel like it's coming on with certain foods. I acutally had enegry today though. I cleaned the whole house, even the bathroom lol. Well Ladies.. It's 9 pm another day down and LOTS more to go !! MUAH..

December 24th- On the 24th Christmas Eve I had to go to the ER cause I was bleeding pretty bad. Bright Red Blood like my period started plus I had a lot of blood in my underwear. I had never been so scared in my life. I thought I loosing the baby. So I yelled for my mom to come in and look at the blood she freaked out and said we had to go to the ER. I was crying so hard I threw up. Then Leia started crying cause she saw me upset. We went to the ER around 10 p.m. They got me in right away and said if I was miscarrying there wasn't anything they could do. I then got put on vits and my blood pressure was out the roof and my pulse was running around 117 which is really high. They took my blood and put me on the machine for blood pressure and heart machine. Then they gave me an I. V. cause I was dehydrated. I was so scared. I keep praying so hard. The Doctor came in and check me out down there and told me that he couldn't figure out why I was bleeding cause everything was good and where it was supposed to be. They couldn't find a heart beat though. So he called for a Tech to come in for an ultrasound. I had to wait cause she was on call cause it was Christmas eve. Finally she got there and they took me to ultrasound she was a real bitch cause she got woken up. She wouldn't even let my mom in the room or me look at the ultrasound. I could kinda see the baby and from what I saw it was moving it's arms up and down. She then measured the baby and told me that my new due date was July 8th. I was a couple of days farther then they thought. So now I am 12 weeks and 1 day. After that they sent me back to the room and we waited for about 2 hours to find out the results of the ultrasound cause they had to call the doctor at home for the results. They then came in and told me that I was still pregnant and that the baby looked good. Still couldn't figure out why I bleed so much. They told me that I was having a Threating Miscarriage, and to follow up with my O. B doctor when I get back to GA. They put me on bed rest til I see the O. B. doctor. It was the scariest thing I think I had ever been put to. I felt like I was being tested for this baby. I wanted it so bad. It's so hard to think that I almost lost it and my husband wasn't here. I wanted to so badly to talk to him. I called Winn army and asked for an apt and they told me I had to call the morning of. What bullshit. So I guess when I get back on Monday I will call. But they did give me my regular apt on Jan 14th at 9:40. Not sure if they are going to keep me on bed rest. But they also told me that I can't pick anything up more than 10 lbs.

December 27, 2007- Well, I have decided that after the scare on the 24th I needed to be around my family. I talked it over with my husband and he strongly said that he didn't want me alone this pregnancy. I have been on bed rest for 2 days and I am feeling better. Tomorrow I'll be driving back to GA to go to my house to pick up a few things. What a scary thought to be moving back in with my parents but I think it's best also. Alot of changes in so little time. Sorry I haven't written all my wonderful friends on here. Just times have been tough. Thanks for all the support ladies ! It makes me feel so good to sign on and see the messages. I am really trying to be positive over everything. Yesterday I listened for the baby with my doppler and I found the heart beat !! It was reading at 167 bpm. I think that's good. Well Keep the messages coming ! MUAH..

December 31, 2007 - I called the Navy Hopsital today for an apt. and they got me in right away. They gave me my FIRST REAL ultrasound and even a PICTURE !! I can't wait to get this scanner working so I can send the first pic to my husband. They already gave me an apt. for friday. Glad this year is looking better already. All the bleeding has stopped I still have slight cramping but I am sure that is normal. They want to give me a more extensive ultrasound so I just need to wait for the referal. HAPPY NEW YEAR !!

January 9,2008- Well today was my 14 week apt. Everything went fine, I got to hear the baby's heart beat it was around 151-157. I got a referal to go out and town and get seen by a different hospital. They said that I am High Risk . I am going to call Scared Heart tomorrow and make an apt with them . Other than that everything has been going great. My daughter started gymnastics last night. Was so great to watch her. I can't believe how big she is getting. I miss my husband alot.

January 17, 2008- Well I had my High Risk Apt today. It's a GIRL!! I can't believe I'm going to have two girls !! The apt went fairly well. The doctor told me that he found a cyst on the baby's brain. He said though it's nothing to worry about. So I am trying not to worry about it. He did do blood test on me to figure out if the cyst is anything though so I won't find that out til a week or so. He said he sees them all the time. Which made me feel better. They did like 3 ultrasounds she was so sweet already. I have like a roll of pictures. He wants to see me back in 4 weeks to do another ultrasound and check the brain out. He did find some clotting of blood that was left over from my scare. I also have a very low placenta. Which should move up he said. My blood pressure was high (great) start of my preeclampsia. But it's still too early to be preeclamptic. I'm just a little scared from that cyst on the brain but like the doctor said don't worry about it which I am not trying to. Other than that she looks healthy he said !!! I can't believe it's A GIRL !!

March 10, 2008- Today was my 23 week apt. Everything went so much better !! I got the news that I wanted to hear !! They said that the baby weighs 1 lb. 3 oz right now and is right on track. They did an extensive ultrasound on the heart and everything looks good. Even my Placenta has moved up some and they said that I should have a normal birth now !! YAY no C-Section !! Best News of all is that the CYST on the baby's Brain is gone !!! That was the biggest relief !! They check the sex again and they said it's a girl. Which I already knew. I just am so happy that everything is going to normal right now. Even my blood pressure was good. 137/65 which is the lowest it's ever been. They also gave me the ok to Fly to Michigan on the 28th !! Things are starting to look great !! I am just glad that some of this stress is starting to go away. I still need to stay here to get the best care though. I have a 4D Ultrasound on April 21 st !! I can't wait for that. It cost $150 a baby good thing I only have one in there lol. They gave me a cute profile pic of her too. I'll try and post that.

April 21, 2007- Today I had my 29 week apt at the high risk doctor.... Everything went awesome. The babies kidney's aren't dilated anymore and my blood pressure was GREAT !!! They did a 2D ultrasound to check the heart and every was normal again. They also told me that she weighs 2 lbs. 15 oz already so close to 3 lbs though. I am still in some pain from the kidney stone that I passed on Saturday night (passover). The doctor gave me some pain meds that would help with that...Thank God.. Now the fun part was coming.. I paid to get a 3D-4D ultrasound done. I posted some pictures up of the scan..She was so active though. Everything the lady would try to get a pic of the profile she would either put her feet or hands in the way. I think that she looks like my daughter already. My husband was really bummed out that he couldn't be there to see it. They put all the pics on a C.D. all in all I got 42 pictures of her. What a great keepsake. It took the lady about an hour and half to get the pics because Bianca was being a turd already lol.... I can't believe that it's getting close now. I can't wait. After seeing her in 3D it made me not want to be pregnant anymore and just hold her. I have another apt with the reg doctor next week that is at the Naval Hospital.
