25.1 hours ago Its really awesome to talk to someone who has been through some of what I've gone through. I had a surgery, went on Lupron.. then was taken off.. Had to have another surgery soon after. I went back on Lupron and was on it about 2 years. I HATED it too, ohh the hot flashes were miserable!! I was told last spring by my dr that if I wanted children then I should be trying now. I was taken off of Lupron and didn't even have one period. The first egg released in 2 years was the one that we conceived our baby with! Being pregnant is painful at times but not nearly as bad as the endo. Do you feel the same way? buddysmom -
27.5 hours ago I have had 2 surgeries too! Thats crazy! I was also on Lupron for 2 years, have you had to do that? If not, it puts you in menopause while you are on it. It was miserable but obviously worth it. They definitely preserved me so I could get pregnant. I am so glad to hear another endo success story! Good Luck! buddysmom -
46.3 hours ago Congrats on your pregnancy! Especially with having endometriosis. We are even luckier. I read that 35% of women with endo are infertile! Thats a lot. Hope all is well with you and your baby. And hopefully for both of us the endometriosis stays away after we give birth. babyjohn -
Monday, 19 May YES! I got this once, only on my left side. At first I thought is was an insect bite because it was so itchy. But then it started getting a little bit bigger and stayed for a while. I think almost a month. I never showed the doctor because the nurse gave me my shots and I always forgot to mention it. Once it went away, it stayed away. Curious to know what your doctor said about the rash? kelli -

So ends the bagels for me! :-( Once I lose it, I can't eat it again for months or til after the baby's born. Hope you're feeling better. Thanks for the comment! steffy1724 -

Wednesday, 23 April I am also on progesterone shots once a week, because I had preterm labor. Progesterone is a male hormone. It is to supposed to help relax the uterus so that you will not contract. I don't know though, because I get braxton -hicks everyday, but hey so far no "real" contractions, so maybe it is working. lisa*andy -

Wednesday, 16 April Thanks so much for your comment. I was completely freaking out here at work. I am an emotional wreck! I keep hiding from my co-workers bc I get soo emotional. When you hear diabetes, it's so hard not to think the worst. I'm waiting on my dr. to email some info and I'm going to do the test next week. Does this happen for any particular reason? Unhealthy eating habits, etc? ~NyMom -
Wednesday, 16 April I agree the diet is not bad at all .. I am still eating following the plan a bit.. I still prick my finger to make sure I am ok and I sure am lol! call me paranoid.. I am surprised what the plan has made me to be because now I am extremely cautious of what I eat I was offered a nice big candy bar last night and declined it (shocking) I just didn't feel like munching down on all that sugar plus it would keep the baby up. I still eat my green salads with my meals.. that is a good habit I picked up I have my regular ice teas.. I was drinking diet but now I don't want the artificial sugar anymore.. let me know how things are going to far with your GD take care and God bless. ~NyMom -
Sunday, 13 April lol Yes it is a pain to have to watch what we eat and being pregnant... I had my daughter thursday.. guess my body couldn't hold her till full term.. story on my page.. after I had her they checked her sugar levels and she was normal no indication she was affected.. me on the other hand they checked a few times and nothing.. they don't bother with me anymore lol.. but I am going to check my level tonight and see where I am ;0).. let me know if they placed you on a food plan.. honestly it is not all that bad.. what is bad is staying away from all the unhealthy things we loved like chocolate and such lol! dannygirl -

Thursday, 10 April I was reading your post on the GD board.. I must warn you.. It's not good to cheat prior to the test, especially so early in your pregnancy.. Usually GD starts around the 28 or 29the week.. On another board, a member was telling us what happened during her 2nd pregnancy and they said she didn't have GD because she past the test.. Well, she did end up having GD and her baby was affected by it.. Here's what she wrote in the thread:
********Then with my second they tested me early and at 27 weeks and I passed the test and they said I didn't have GD... Well low and behold I started having really bad problems with her growth and with blood pressure and stuff at 34 weeks... They had no idea why... I ended up having her 4 weeks early and she was a whooping 8lbs 3 oz... As soon as she came out via C-section we all knew she was a sugar baby... She was sooo fat and looked like she was going to pop. Her lungs weren't developed b/c I didn't control the GD. She was in NICU for almost a week in New Orleans and it was just the worst time of my life... I felt so bad when I finally got out the hospital and traveled to see her and the doctors acted like it was my fault she was in such bad shape... I had to keep telling them I didn't know I even had it... I think that they don't teach enough on what could happen if you don't control your GD... All I ever hear or read is that the baby could be born really big... Well thats not all that can happen... They told me if she would have been a boy then he could have died... Guess b/c boys are whimpy.. Thats why I'm having such a hard time with myself right now.. After going through hell last time and knowing what can happen, then why am I'm finding it so hard to eat right this time? I know you didn't ask about all this.. But thought I needed to share!***

Wednesday, 9 April Wow that is something different.. my doc told me to eat regularly just fast for 8 to 9 hours before taking the test.. I remember a few days before taking the test I asked the nurse should I cut back on carbs and such and she told me not to because the body will react very differently since it has not had any carbs etc in the system.. and if I did that and took the test it would elevate because I hadn't any sugars for so long. Since your doc is not doing the 3 hour there is no way to tell if you really have it our not.. some women take the 1 hour fail and pass the 3 hour.. I myself failed both and been on a food plan since I was about 26 to 27 weeks... do they have you testing your blood 2 hours after your meals? if so how are your numbers.. usually if your numbers are above 135 you have GD. dibs -
