I have been married to my husband, Lance, since March 17, 2007. We are expecting our first child together on July 15, 2008. We are having a little boy. His name is Levi Tanner Harrison. We are so excited for the new addition to our family. He is already so loved.

May 14, 2008-

I went in for a 3D ultrasound and it was so awesome. Levi looks exactly like his daddy. He has full lips and chubby cheeks (sorry to the hubs on that one). HAHA. I can't wait to meet the little guy. I had my 4th progesterone shot this visit. I suppose it is helping, as the baby has not come, but I am still having issues with spotting. Hope it goes away!

May 20, 2008-

Had measurements done on Levi. He is 4 lbs and 3 oz. He is in the 50th percentile. Except for his head! It measures a little big. Hope thats not a problem when he starts to come out! Poor Momma. I also had my maternity pictures done today. I wont get to see them for 2 weeks, but I hope they were worth it (mostly the part about sitting in the hot sun for 2 hours).

May 27, 2008-

Went to the doctor for my 2nd to last progesterone shot. I can not wait until they are all over. I am very excited for my upcoming baby shower. It is the last one of three. June 1st is the date. I am anxious for Levi to arrive - but know I need to be patient so he can finish baking!

May 29, 2008 -

I think i am ready to pack my bag for the hospital. Maybe. HAHA. I will at least think of what I might like to take with me.

June 3, 2008 -

Went to the doctor. He believes Levi will come between the middle of June and the first week of July. I had my last progesterone shot and I am glad of that. He will begin scans every week starting at week 36 (im week 34 now) to make sure the baby isn't getting too big, and to check on the placenta. If everything looks good I get to move on to the next week...If not...I get to deliver.

Bring it on - Just let him be ready.

June 17, 2008-

Yet another doctor visit. I am 36 weeks today and ready to have the baby. The only problem is, he isn't ready to come out! haha. oh well. I have to go back next Tuesday for another ultrasound to see if he is mature enough yet. When all is said and done I will have him by no later than July 1st. He is a big boy at 36 weeks... 6 lbs. and 10 oz.

June 30, 2008-

Went to the hospital last night to be induced. They gave me the medicine to soften my cervix, and today they started my drip. I went 12 hours with nothing but a dimple!! So i decided the best thing to do is leave and try again. We will be going back on Thursday morning to see if it will be more successful next time around. LEVI!! -- mommy is ready for you.

OK.. make sure that you are sticking to lower fat dairy.. e.g. skim milk vs whole milk... try lower fat chesse... chicken vs beef.. preferably fish if you like it.. (i love fish).. these are all lower in fat and might help... but sounds like you are doing everything right... baby is just on a growth spurt (which is very good..) keep up the good work !

OK.. I am doing

Breakfast 30g
Snack 15g
Lunch 45g
Snack 15g
Dinner 45g
Snack 15g

I am doing insulin, so that really helps...
the only way to lower the blood sugar is to either reduce the amount of carbs (but then you might start getting ketones - do you check your urine each day for this ).. or you have to burn off the carbs quickly after each meal.. that means about 30 mins of walking (tough I know)...

What does the diabetes doctor say about this.. or your OB.. I give my numbers to the diabetes doc twice a week and each week to my OB.. they should have an opinion. 130 is not bad, but I agreem they will want it to be a little lower... my doc like me to be at

of eating every meal or just specific ones ? How many grams of carbs are you eating at the meals that it is @ 130... are you taking insulin or just diet controlled ?

That was my thought oo. I mean, what the heck was it that she just put on me? All I know is that it was prescription. She said it had steroids in it like anit-itch cream. It was just plain inconsiderate!

I was taking progesterone up until the beginning of this week. Why are you taking progesterone shots? Is there something that the docs know ahead of time that will cause you to need the shot? I know the suppositories were for me to use til the placenta took over, but why do some women need progesterone so late in the pregnancy? Is it something I should talk to my doc about?
