If so, what is it?: Have you picked out names?: Not really If so, what are they?: Kind of like Mylie for a boy and Indie for a girl but I’m sure that will change many times How much weight have you gained?: A few pounds Do you have stretch marks?: No Have you felt the baby move?: Not yet Have you heard the heartbeat?: Yes - 145bpm About the birth Will you keep the baby?: Yes Home or hospital birth?: Hospital birthing room - am tempted by a home birth though! Natural or medicated birth?: Try for an all natural and see how that goes – if all else fails I’m up for the spinal block!! Who will be in the delivery room with you?: Jason, midwife and maybe my mum - she is a birthing EXPERT!! lol Will you breastfeed?: For sure Do you think you'll need a c-section?: No Will you cry when you hold the baby for the first time?: I expect so!! What's the first thing you might say to him/her?: I have no idea! Would you let someone videotape the birth?: Not a chance Are you excited about the birth, or scared?: I am extremely scared - and actually cry when I see people giving birth on the TV - I may need a hypno birth! And Another One......... How far along are you:: 30 Weeks Cravings so far:: Not really had any yet ;-( Just plain fussy!! Things that make you sick:: At this stage the heat makes me sick but at the start it was the smell of any food – or my boyfriend touching or breathing on me – don’t ask!! Boy or girl:: Your guess is as good as mine! Babys name:: Boy: Vincent (Vinny) or Archie or Miley Girl: Harriett or Imogen or Jasmine Basically – no idea!! Were going to wait and see what baby look’s like and hopefully be able to choose then! Advice for other pregnant women:: Google isn’t always a good idea Just because you’ve reached the second trimester – don’t expect to bloom – I’m still waiting! Baby Daddy:: Jason – We’ve been together 4 years! His reaction:: Initial reaction was shock – then he ‘suggested’ an abortion (!!) – Now he’s excited! Greatest memory so far:: There have been many!! Seeing the initial heart beat on the scan at 7 weeks – I didn’t believe there could actually be anything in there! Feeling the baby move for the first time was amazing and has only got better since (except from the kicks ‘down there’ and under the rib shots! – not quite so pleasant) Our 4d scan – again I really didn’t believe there was a proper baby in there and all the little bits in between that make me feel special! Biggest fear:: Still birth or Cot death…… Strange symptoms:: Anything to do with pregnancy is plain strange!! Since when was it ‘normal’ to feel sick constantly for 12 weeks, pee every 30 minutes or cry about something which really isn’t all that sad??? Advantages of being pregnant:: The 2 times I have been to the kebab shop they have given me extra food – always a bonus!! People letting you in front of them at public toilets (no one likes to queue!) Feeling special! Weird dreams:: They have calmed down now but in the first trimester I had dreams about giving birth to extremely premature twins in my friend’s front room – that was scary! Don’t really remember the others but there have been a fair few! Emotional outbursts:: Daily – my poor boyfriend gets the sharp end of it!! Breast changes:: None – in the first trimester they were very sore – like burning rocks when I took my bra off but other than that nothing!! I am thankful as was a 34f anyway! Waist changes:: Lost weight at the start – then it got very round – surprise surprise! Things you quit for baby:: Drinking and partying! Most uncomfortable time:: Flying back from Turkey at 26 weeks was HARD – Every night when I go to bed and Back issues from having ‘bad posture’ …….. Worst part of being pregnant:: Worrying, back ache, no alcohol, bad nights sleep, morning sickness, working……. Best place for maternity clothes:: It’s not amazing but most of my maternity has come from Dorothy Perkins. The best is the stuff you get given though!! lol Taking parenting classes:: Yes – starts at the end of September Pregnancy necessities:: Someone to do everything for you (boyfriends can be good for this), someone to talk to and un-leash your (occasionally irrational) fears to! (Boyfriends are at times good for this but mum’s are better) and an understanding that it will be harder than you thought and it will be even more uncomfortable than you expected but it will all be so worth it in the end! Grandparents reaction:: Happy!! They were all slightly less shocked than Jason and me (my mum actually suspected it before It had even crossed my mind!) but really happy for us and very excited!! Aunts? Uncles?:: Happy I think!! My sister already has 2 little ones so is excited about being an auntie! My brother seems happy enough but being a young lad doesn’t really express his emotions! Jason’s brothers and sisters are all really excited too! Godparents:: I’ve not even thought about it…… Where will you deliver:: Southmead Hospital – hopefully in the pool!! When:: When it happens! Will you breastfeed:: Yes – that’s what they are there for after all!! I Hope I will be able to express some at some point so I can go out and ‘let my hair down’ – I’m gagging for it!! Will you use cloth diapers:: Boyfriend is keen to use cloth – unsurprisingly seeing as he will be at work all day and leaving it down to me!! I am defiantly going to start with disposables and see how things go. Would be nice to do my bit for the environment and all that but I suppose I am by breast feeding – no packaging there!! Books you're reading:: A Wags Diary & Facebook (?! It’s sort of a book ?!) – That’s about it!! I tend to do my ‘baby research’ on-line!
