Today I went to see the doctor for so upper abdominal pain... probably a liver or gallbladder problem (Just what I needed... on my first day NOT feeling queasy!). I did get to hear the baby's cute little heart beat for the first time. Since my husband wasnt with me, I asked the doctor if we could wait til Brian could be there, so we're gonna do it again on Friday (They are doing an ultrasound of my liver and gallbladder on Friday). So I am denying that I actually heart the heartbeat until I hear it with my wonderful husband!

Today we had another appointment. So far so good. At this point I have gained 10 pounds. Thats exciting.... I guess. We got to listen to that little heartbeat again which sounds a lot stronger and louder than it did last time. The doctor had no trouble finding it. We also scheduled our next ultrasound... we have to wait until April 18 to find out the gender of our baby. That sounds like such a long time! By then I will be 21 weeks. I guess its just disappointing becuase it sounds like so many people are finding this out now (17 weeks). So boo for that, but Im sure the next month will fly by just like the last 4.

28 weeks: I had my blood glucose test today... with everyone talking about the "orange drink" I was surprised to have a drink very similar to Sprite - very sweet lemon lime soda. It wasnt too bad, but I have had problems with soda upsetting my stomach since week 12. Oh well. I survived, but wont get the results from my doc until June 24. My uterus is currently measuring 26 cm at the fundus and my blood pressure and baby's heart beat are all good. I finally had a month where I only gained 3 pounds!! Hooray!! That is much better than the 8 I gained last month.
The doc says I should expect to have an ultrasound at 32 weeks and 36 weeks to check the baby's size and position. Getting closer

I've had the worst craving for hot dogs!!!!! I've been eating them for a week and it tasted like pure bliss! I am not a vegetarian, but I always steer clear of hot dogs, just because they are not made from the best meat! I now want another hot dog!!!!

lol, that is awesome we are the same when it comes to the smells! lol. I just can't get over how GOOD the a/c smell is, and the fabric softener!! I am glad I don't have the urge to EAT these things, just smell them!!

Awesome! Don't you love a good deal? We picked up our swing and matress... the crib was back ordered 8-10 weeks and the 2nd runner up was back ordered 12-14 weeks. I'm due in 9. So we went over to Babies R Us and found one that i do love- i'm just disapointed that we couldn't get my 1st choice. It will be here in 7-14 days. I saw on a flyer that they have a store out in Burbank... Isn't that close to you?

having my partners mum around while im in labour would be my worst nightmare too, even though she is a really nice person. I think it will just be me and mark in the delivery room when the time comes, hes the only person i can tolerate throughout this pregnancy! maybe because he doesnt keep fussing. I wanted my mum to come in with me but not sure now as she seems to have changed lately, she has been quiet around me and mentioned not so long ago that i wont need her when Ruby is born cus i will have a new life. We are always so close so maybe she is scared about being pushed aside. I would never do that. Thanks for listening, i hope everything goes really well for you. Take care xxx

Go to USA Baby in San Juan Capistrano! They are having an up to 70% off sale this Saturday. Last time they did this, I bought the Preg prego carseat and infant carrier floor model for only $60... the car adpter alone is $68! My mom bought a stroller for $50 and its really nice, plus she bought a crib and a huge bag of bedding for next to nothing! They start putting stuff out in their parking lot around 7:30am and we show up around 7:45am; coffee in hand and ready to grab! Their address is: 31896 Plaza Dr.

I know where you are coming from! I don't tolerate pain well either, but a friend of the family just had her baby last week and told me to make sure I hold out til at least 7 cm before getting the epidural...I don't know if I can do that!

Hey, how's the belly coming? Are you still small? I finally look pregnant, but no where near where most of the ladies on this site are at 29 weeks. When I tell people when I am due, they are shocked. People typically think I am about four months along. If I hear, "Where's the belly?" one more time I might punch someone or start crying, depending on my mood.

I eat banana's when I have that issue...before it was the constipation- two weeks ago I started iron supplements for anemia and now I have mudd butt. one banana a day and it works out fine for me.

My son was due on Nov. 2 and the doc finally induced me on the 11th... I knew he was going to be big. I just hope my little girl is built like a girl and not humungous. I am sure she will be fine.

Hi - I actually flew a few weeks ago and there were woman WAY bigger than me flying. They don't need anything from your doctor. But the one nice thing is that they were super nice to me - I was flying from Arizona and was super dehydrated, so I ran my little bell and the woman came right over and then brought me a HUGE bottle of water - all the other passangers were jealous. :-)
