Hi I'm Jo and I live in Vancouver with my husband Chris. I found out I was pregnant when I was 3 weeks 2 days. Was exhausted, famished and a little nauseous. I found out at 6.5 weeks that I was pregnant with twins then told at 7.5 that one likely wasn't going to make it (slow h/b). It's a really weird thing to go through. I had a m/c in September so this was easier to go through.. after all I was still pregnant, but I have to admit when J Lo had her twins I was jealous. I always thought I would have twins and the reality was so close... but just out of reach.
My 13 week U/S showed a healthy baby and a 'vanishing twin' all that was there was the sac and some blood. I am happy it is vanishing as I really didn't want to pass it. By my next ultrasound there should be no sign of it at all.
It took until about 18 weeks to get over the 'gross nausea' part, but even at 25 weeks I have moments when I think I'm going to puke.
At our 24 week ultrasound we found out we are having a girl! We have named her Cadence. It took up to about 21-22 weeks before I could feel her kicks and movement, but now that I can she sure doesn't sleep much!
Through the nausea, worry etc... I still am thankful everyday that I get to have a baby!!!! It's all worth it to me and I can't wait to do it again!
I'm really happy to have found this site - I think I'm addicted. I check it 2-3 times a day. I work from home most of the time so it makes it more tempting to get on here. Thank you too for all your posts, I love hearing what everyone else is up to and knowing other people are feeling what I am.

Heard the heartbeat today, yippee! Now I feel better about going for my ultrasound on the 21st. We have to pay $500 for the testing and I don `t want to pay to just get bad news! Was happy to find out I `m not hypothyroid, just a teeny hyper. Go for more bloodwork next week to check thyroid again as well as part of the Early Trimester Screening. I am sooo looking forward to 2 weeks from now after all the tests and the 1st trimester!Thursday, 21 Feb
Had Ultrasound today. Baby is 13 weeks 1 day! Risks for chromosonal problems are very low! Only one baby, the twin did not make it. We are still very happy to be having one healthy baby and do be 13 weeks!!! sigh!

well i'm doing one every month, and this was taken at 22 wks... so the new one comes this sun, at 26 weeks. :) my stomach has grown a little but not too much.

hi there jobean, Hey you are just far too busy!!!! I really hope you are doing well and that your little Cadence is being a good girl!...did you get any heartburn yet?....everything i eat at the moment is setting my insides on fire.....with Xander it was so bad towards the end....prob gonna be the same with this one....yay!!....I'm craving fresh orange juice but it just kills...lol....I've started to put on the beef now aswell....roughly 20lbs...which doesn't sound too bad except that with the other 2 I put on stacks between now and week 36......anyway I hope you are having a really lovely weekend and that you are feeling great xxxx

Thats the trouble every one knows someone called each name you choose or just says they don't like the name and it does put you off. My daughter has said so far lets call him Annabelle, or boy, or prince!

We still have no name we can both decide on for a boy but we had lots for a girl. I like Kian and Nathan but my hubby likes Brendan after his mom Brenda whi passed away when he was 21. If we can't agree on anything in particular then the baby will be named Michael which is my dads name. Do you have any names?

I thought we were having a boy last time and the baby was a girl and I was really suprised when we looked and she had girl bits! It is lovely having a daughter but I reckon you spend more money as there are soooooo many cute dresses etc for girls you can't resist them. This baby is a boy and I am looking forward to haveing a prince now to join our princess xx

Hi, I was just reading your post on placenta previa. I had an u/s last Friday and he said my placenta was a bit low but he could see that it was moving up while my bladder was filling up. Then when I went for the midwife appt she said that they would do another ultrasound at 32 weeks to check it again. It sounds like what your friend went through. I hope it is nothing to worry about and it will grow up with the uterus. Well good luck with your pregnancy. I havent had a c-section before tho I have 3 children so it would be an experience but I would rather deliver naturally. Keep in touch

I know I am so thrilled and I cant wait to bond with her - I thought I was having a boy before my scan, but now if I were to find out they were wrong and its NOT a girl I would be so unhappy!! I sing and talk to her all the time & imagine her growing up and all the fun mom & daughter things to do....I'm a real sappy ass now too, sometimes I cry when I think about how much I love her already.....I know we all feel that way (or just some of us on the crying part!) and its awful how I always need a tissue between that and these stupid allergies! Well anyway I know how much you wanted a girl & I'm so happy for you!

I agree...those people who claim that the 2nd trimster is soo much better obviously had a horrible 1st!! I fortunately dont have the extra weight gain, but I can definately feel my center of gravity changing and feeling more awkward and feeling more pressure in my pelvis and back.. You're absolutely right though, its all worth it..We will have 2 beautiful healthy perfect little girls!!! I went and registered for my baby shower yesterday (also did some lite shoppng on the sale racks.) I got a really pretty light peach baby bunting (for winter) at a killer price...It retailed at $45 and I got it for $9.10!! It's so nice and heavy and cozy feeling!!! Hubby laughed at me. Also got the cutest little outfit with a matching hat, bib and shoes, totally on clearance. Baby will be dressed to the 9's if I can keep hitting these prices...And they're all Osh Kosh, Carter's, etc.... Anyway, I'm rambling now...hope all is going well!!!

Well if not, you can always try for number 3....or 4...?! ha ha JUST KIDDING. My husband wants a girl and I have told him maybe we will try one more time but I dont think I could handle having more than 3 boys. Well congrats again, I cant wait for all of us to have these babies and see pics of all of them. Can you believe we are getting close to 30 weeks??? Time is FLYING!

I am happy to have an idea of when we will be having her...I was trying to convince the MD for Sept 2...but he said that when they schedule a c section they usually go 1 week early... My energy stinks....I am waiting for my energy to come back !! I seem to get winded so easily...I am carrying high, so I think that is part of it...My problem is that my pelvis and lower back are very sore recently...other that that I'm doing ok!!!!
