Saturday, 14 June Honestly it wasnt all that bad. you get to a stage where nothing hurts any more. u just block it out. and yeah id say dont let many people come up. i had so many people there. and when ur in labour you just dont want to talk to any one. & yeah i tried having the epidural the guys missed a couple of times, finally put it in. but i could feel everything... and i could move my legs.. so, i think the guy stuffed it up. but the pain i felt didnt need pain relief. i had a morfene shot but, it just relaxs u, id say go for one of them.
buts its all ur choice at the end of the day.
=]
you'll make your mind up once ur in labour lol
;)
just dont worry about the pain
its honestly not that bard
Just look forward to holding your beautiful baby
in your arms.
& believe me the 30th of september will be here in no time =]

Friday, 13 June i went out in the middle of january for an all day event. My husband gave him bottles all that day. By the end of the day, my baby who is usually easy going was screaming. I was the ONLY one who could console him. I still am. And my husband lives with us, plays with him, interacts with him. So. to answer your first question, i pumped periodically when i felt like i had enough milk left over AFTER feeding baby. B/c thats when you can pump. You have to feed baby first and then pump a bit after you are done feeding baby. This stimulates more milk production- but you only have so much in there. In order to stock up about 5 feedings (5oz each) it took me till the beginning of January. For your boyfriend to take baby over night, you need to plan on enough feedings as that point baby will eat about every 3 hours (or maybe more depending on her hunger level). SO that would be about 3 feedings. Thats to say he would pick baby up at about 11pm and bring her back to you by 9am. HOWEVER since men seem to like their sleep, i'd like to know why he wants her overnight. He would get a better visit time during the day when she would be awake more and able to play. Its FAR FAR different to take care of someone else's baby for a few hours while they were away then to take care of your own. Each feed is accompanied by soothing, changing, burping, barfing, changing (parent and baby and sometimes bed sheets too!) what i'm saying is that it is a lot of work. My husband had to work in the day time and I let him sleep overnight. I had a 11pm feeding, a 1/2am feeding, 5/6am. Usually i was lucky if I got about 4 hours combined total sleep over night in the first few weeks. WHen he slept through one of the feedings was the first time i started to feel sane again. Each feeding can take up to an hour, especially the first few weeks when baby is learning to suck. THen you have to get a burp out before you can put baby back to sleep (which is harder when baby is already asleep vs. awake) and this could take up to 20 min. YOu don't want to put baby down without burping as they will then wake up after about 20 min (when you just start to go back to sleep) and wake up screaming with gas pain. Changing is also a must with each feeding as baby will often be poopy or pee and have a wet diaper. Baby's wake up if their diaper is too wet- or it will just leak out the sides if it gets too wet and then you have to change clothes and bedding. I don't want to discourage your boyfriend from taking an active father role in his daughter;s life. That in itself should be applauded and encouraged. Your baby ultimately will want to be with you, its mother right from the beginning. I would share this with your boyfriend and encourage him plan on staying over at your house for the first 2 weeks at least. Try to help you or see how much help he can be. Then have the 'child sharing' discussion again. I hope this helps! Love~2008~ -

Monday, 9 June Yeah I have actually. Think I will be going on maternity from the 12th September. I really wanna work right up to the end if possible, just so that I could have more time with the baby when its born. I have 3 months maternity leave, so I think I will also combine my vacation with it, so I have a little longer to take also. What about you, what are your maternity plans? Sunny21 -

Friday, 6 June I guess we are all at the point now where weight gain is as common as the baby growing. I guess it all just takes getting used to. You have any plans for the weekend? I am so happy its friday, need to break from this job of mine. Hope you have a great day and weekend, talk to u again soon. Peanuts-Mom -
Thursday, 5 June fat. I am definitely dealing with that issue. I actually weighed myself lastnight, and almost fell into a depression. I am weighing 130lbs, and I started off at 112lbs. Do you think I have put on too much weight for my week period so far? I ideally wanted to only put on between 25 – 30 lbs, but at the rate I am going, that looks impossible.
On the topic of movement, my baby cant stop moving, and my hubby has been enjoying feeling the movements. Every night like clock work, my boy put on a show for us, as we lye in bed to go to sleep. I absolutely love it.
Have a great day hun, talk to you sooon….
