Hey, im Jo, 22 years old and my babys due on October 5th. Im so happy I could burst! It was meant to be and I cant wait to be a mummy!Thats my little one at 8 weeks and 2 days. Most amazing moment seeing the little heartbeat. Best wishes to every mummy-to-be!!xx

I have just booked my scan to find out the sex... cant wait for June 6th!!!!!xx

WE'RE HAVING A BOY!! SO SO HAPPY!XX

just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their advice and help! incase i dont get back to you.. thank u!!!

Time for an update...! (29/08/2008)... 34 weeks 5 days

Well I havent documented hardly any of this pregnancy so far so I thought I should start now, as its my last few weeks and im on maternity so I have lots of free time! :)

Im feeling good, most of the time... I hate night time because its so hard to get comfortable, and as soon as I find a good position I need to get up and pee!! Its so frustrating, Thats also when heartburn kicks in really bad, and im almost drinking gaviscon like its water at this stage! My legs ache, my feet are swelling and my boobs have been leaking for about 10 weeks now! Oh the joys...

So yeah, I had my midwife appointment yesterday.. she said baby feels like a good size, not too big, not too small, so im very happy. His head is down and I kind of felt like it was because my hips and pelvis have started to ache the past couple of weeks. His bum loves to nest in my right ribs, it almost feels like he's gonna break them sometimes! Gosh I cannot believe im this far along... It seems like yesterday I found out I was pregnant!

This little miracle was a complete surprise.. and I say "miracle" because he completely defied all the chances of contraceptives working! But we couldnt be happier that he did.. I was actually on the pill, and threw up soon after the baby dance! So I took the morning after pill, after 15 hours, and it didnt work. So as you can imagine, I was so so shocked to discover I was pregnant! It took about a week to sink in, but I soon started to love him, and he couldnt have come at a better time in my life.. I was very down last year, and he has made all those horrible feelings disappear..

So here we are... 5 weeks to go and very very excited..! I love my baby so much, I am almost scared of how much more im going to love him when I see him..

I just cannot wait for our little family :)

Your emotions are normal. Just take care of yourself. Make sure you're eating right and doing everything the doctor is telling you to do. If it doesn't go away you should definitely talk to your doctor about it. Because babies can definitely feel our emotions and it really dictates their mood. Best of luck with everything.

I totally agree with you, we should only be allowed to have the happy dreams while pregnant. Your dream almost made me cry. I keep thinking something is going to happen. Ergh, I wish I was 38 weeks and giving birth.. :( Only five more weeks to go.. :) Still seems like forever though.

I feel sick all the time, have since conception, but it gets worse at times, and the last two weeks have been worse. I have no appetite, but I make myself eat.

Thank you so much for you reply its good to know that i am not the only one crying aswell!!, this is all i have ever wanted and i am so happy but so emotional and paranoid that something goes wrong, i am usually so optamistic but this is a feeling i just cant shake off, 8 weeks today until i meet him so hopefully it will ease off a but then

jojo21, you need to relax, sweetheart. I'm reading the week-by-week posts, and you know, it's mothers that are scared like you are that will be the best parents because being a good parent is obviously so important to you. Sometimes just being overtired can make your fears grow out of proportion, too, so try to sleep and if you can't actually sleep, at least rest and try to relax your mind. You'll be fine. Smile. Not long now, and your world will be complete with a little miracle.

I am having that same problem. I had baby on the brain all night last night and today. I think we are just getting so close to seeing them that it's like Christmas night 10 weeks early LOL. I feel your pain

beatlebabeplusone - Wednesday, 30 July
just read your comment in week 30 have you ever thought of getting a cordless phone lol ? When I get indoors I lay on the sofa and surround myself with my mobile, my cordless, the remote control and a cool drink that way the only time I have to get up is to go to the loo :)

I saw that you asked if anyone was having cramps earlier. I am totally having cramps, and have been on and off for a couple of days now. When I went to the doctor today I asked him if there was something wrong. He said that as long as they are not coming regular like contractions they should be fine. It is probably just because everything inside is growing so fast.

Thanks for thinking of the "little" people. I wish I could say I was as far along as you, but I know my day will come. I will be 11 weks on Thursday. So far, it has gone by so slow. I am so eager to be in my 2nd trimester, so I can relax a little. I also have the 1st trimester screen in a few weeks and am a little nervous, even though I truly believe everything will be just fine. Congrats to you. I am sure you are so excited!

Thanks, I didn't find the labor and delivery that bad, I was kind of just in the moment and dealt with it best I could. One thing I was told when I was in labor was not to take those short breaths they taught me in pre natal class because they said it would make me pass out. Instead they told me to take long deep breaths and I did find that helpful and I concentrated on my breathing to deal with pain. Honestly if I could, I would skip the whole pregnant part and go right to the delivery, you will definitely treasure that moment forever. Hope you are well and have a smooth delivery when the time comes. xxx

Thanks for your comment in week 9.
It was funny for me to read because I am on my second pregnancy and it seems like yesterday I was where you are, I had my baby in Feb this year and you sure do get more attention when you are bigger. I can't believe I am back at week 9 already and it is very fresh in my mind what your prob going through now too and its not always pleasant but now that I have my daughter it helps me know how it is truly worth it. And yes you do forget all the pains, thats how I ended up here again so soon lol. Thanks again, congrats on your pregnancy and good luck.

Ahhh, that is great you are so in tuned and bonded with your son. You will make a great mom. Crying is a wonderful thing-don't feel bad for feeling this way. Take care.

I feel pretty good now at 34 weeks, and I start week 35 in 2 days. I think just go out maybe 2-3 weeks before ur due date. I'm on my feet a lot as a nurse too and am working up to the day if possible. I'd rather save the time for after my baby is here.

tmac - Saturday, 19 July
can u tell ur doctor to put u on disability till mat leave ? That's what i did cause i couldn't breath at work at all and had panic attacks. I'm not sure how it works unless u have benefits but if u do look into it. LIE if u have to tell her /him u have had panic attacks at work.

sasrafrass - Sunday, 13 July
I have had leg pain off and on, mostly my left leg. It hurt to even touch it really. I found that really the only thing that helped was to stretch it a bit and try not to sleep on it. It's just something I had to endure, it will go away eventually. As far as your leg pain if the area that hurts is warm or red it could be something called a dvt that your DR should look at, but as you say there is no difference it is probably not this. Just try to relax and take it easy.

cindermoon - Saturday, 12 July
I had a strange leg pain sorta like that the other day. It felt like pain was radiating from my joints causing my whole leg to hurt. nothing I tried worked so I finally broke down and took some tylenol. It went away and hasn't come back since. I normally stay away from medicine but felt that it was much safer than sawing my leg off at the hip.

armymom - Saturday, 12 July
I get that sometimes.. sometimes its one leg and sometimes its both. It gets really achy.. like I just walked a mall in heels for 6 hours or something. It goes away on its own but comes back every now and then. I know how you feel though. I also get charlie horses REALLY bad at night. It drives me crazy. I dont know how to get rid of it.. its probably just one of those things that come along with being pregnant.. lol. I know its not dehydration cause I drink ALOT of water for other reasons so i really dont know. Well at least you know you not the only one. lol. Sorry I cant help.

kargy - Friday, 4 July
Thanks for leaving a nice post about your weight... I'm so glad I'm not the only one feeling this way. I'm so thrilled to be excited, and I love my bump, but I just feel so cumbersome. My boobs keep getting bigger and more distorted and have stretch marks.. I just look fat all over. The walking has helped me feel better... I need to start being more careful about what I eat.. I think I'm eating too many sugary things.

Thanks for the advice. I've been determined not to take any pain reliever etc. because I just don't want to take any chances with him. I'll have to try the hot water bottle but it is so hot here- today it's 106! I've tried a hot shower with the water hitting in exactly that spot before I went to bed and that did help as well. Congrats on your boy!

gfunk - Thursday, 26 June
Thanks for the reply! You really help to put my mind at ease! i was worried i had a dud boob :) thanks again and good luck with everything

hotpotaaaaato - Tuesday, 24 June
Thanks for the info, as I don't know anyone who HAS tried Implanon... I think I'm now leaning toward Mirena... My doc said it has A LOT less hormones than Implanon anyways. Thanks again for your story, cause I think I would end up having the same things happening.

Megan the lump maker - Monday, 23 June
I opened 5 days a week during my last pregnancy. I just kept doing it until 8 months---BUT--I made it clear that it was unsafe for me to lift alot, or even heavy objects. The manager would help me do it, and sometimes the kitchen staff would help me as well. If it is bothering you, let them know that the doctor told you to stop. They can't say a word, and they will be forced to help you. Good luck--waitressing can be hard on the body and back---take it easy when necessary. It's going to get worse before it gets better!
