I had severe heartburn with both of my previous pregnancies and my little boys were born bald as can be! Once again im suffering heartburn and NOTHING helps!! My doc mentioned that some of what i feel like is heartburn is from the food/drinks i consume but part of it is just acid-reflux from the baby pushing up on my stomach. Thats why it gets worse when i sit or lie down...the best thing ive found for that is to elevate the top or your bed with bricks or propping yourself up on a bunch of pillows. I actually slept basically sitting up the last 2 months of my pregnancies....NOT looking forward to that again!! lol
So anyhow...i dont really think there is ANY truth to that old wives tale.

Hey, I saw your post and I too have had a MAJOR problem with the heartburn since like 20 weeks. This whole time my husband has been telling me that wives tale about all that hair, well I had some of those 3D/4D pictures taken and the lady doing the ultrasound couldn't stop commenting on how much hair my baby had just at 29 weeks, so I guess the myth held true for me:)
