Hello my name is Betsy and i had my baby on the 15th of dec 5 days late. i woke up at 5am on the 15th because my water broke and i was soaked i went to the hospital with contractions 3-5 min apart it hurt so bad!!!!! i was dialated to 4 qnd a half and wouldnt go any further because my body was so stressed so they had me get pitocin which just made me hurt more and it did nothing so they said i need to do the epidural and 30 min after that i went to 8 and 2 more hours i was at 10 and could start pushing. i pushed for 2 hours and only blood came out his head was so close to crowning but they got out the vaccum because his heart rate was going down and it didnt work because his head was at an angle so they took me to the or and did an emergency c-section i begged them to let me have more time to push but they said his heart rate was at 80 so he was born after 13 hours of labor 2 hours of pushing and came into this world at exactly 6pm with a perfect apgar score of 10 he was 8lb14oz 20.5inches and so beautiful. im a first time mom so my first night home was so scary i couldnt sleep afraid he would stop breathing i cried scared all night. i am so happy and still cant belive that is what was moving all that time in my belly he is now 9lb 12oz at14 days old.

no but im so happy i did

no but it is in march

How long did it take you to realize you were pregnant?
4 months along

What were your first reactions to finding out? i got real hot and almost passed out didnt know to be happy or sad

PART TWO: PREGNANCY!!

Overall, did you enjoy being pregnant? no and yes i liked when the baby would move and when i seen him on the sonograms

20 pounds

What food did you crave the most?
starbursts

Did you find out the sex of the baby?
Yes, at 20 weeks. I was so happy when I found out it was a boy.

Did you have a 'feeling' about which gender the baby was?
yes i was told in a dream before i knew i was pregnant

PART THREE: LABOR!

Did you go into labor before or after your due date?:
5 days after

Where were you when (and if) your water broke?
i was asleep in my bed and felt a pop through my whole body and was in a giant puddle

How long did your labor last?:
13 hours

Who, if anyone, was in the room with you?
My boyfriend

How would you describe your 'Labor Pains'?
strong pulling back pain couldnt even move when i had one

Did you get angry and curse at anyone?yes because there was like 14 people in the room and people were fighting during contractions

Did you get an epidural?
I got an epidural when i wouldnt dialate any more because my body was to stressed

PART FOUR: DELIVERY

Did you have a c-section or a vaginal delivery?:
emergency c-section

How long did you push for?:
2 hours stright even tried vaccumes

Did you get to hold the baby right after delivery?:
no had to wait an hour and a half

Did you have any complications?:
yes his head was coming out at an angle and his heart rate dropped to 80
