42.5 hours ago Don't trust the measurement thing. You have other kids right? Think about how sometimes the babies in a bit further and some days you just feel like your sticking way out? The measurements can be different hourly depending on where the baby is sitting. bellsipoo -
Saturday, 10 May Hey just wanted to thank you so much for the advice regarding the headaches I really appreciate it I really almost went into ER last Thursday because I couldn't stand it anymore and I kept telling myself they're probably just gonna tell me to keep drinking Tylenol so I didn't go but now that I know I won't think about twice because I have been very very uncomfortable because of this for the past week and 1/2. Monday, 31 Mar I also got my suit at Motherhood. It is so comfy (even for lap swimming) and was only $35! jobean38 -
Saturday, 29 Mar Hi! I got a maternity suit at motherhood that I like - re the underwire, you might have trouble finding some with it because underwire is not recommended for pg women because it can affect the milk ducts (at least that's what they told me in the store) I found the one at motherhood offered good support and was reasonalby priced. Good luck! pjs1071 -
Tuesday, 25 Mar Joyful> I just got over tonsilitis after 10-12 days...it was horrible!! I dont remember anything lingering for so long. If you are feeling reallt bad, call the MD... If you have a sore throat, have it checked, it may be strep and you may need something for it. Unfortunately, if it is a virus you'll have to just ride it out!! Good Luck! CathyG -
Wednesday, 5 Mar Thanks for the message. This sciatic pain is the worst! I didn't have it with my first. I am still miserable. I am going to go see a chiropractor tomorrow out of desperation. Hopefully it works for me like it does for you. Did you get a doppler and does it work well? I have been thinking about renting one. Take care! Mommy2bmay08 -
Tuesday, 4 Mar Hey,
Are you feeling better today. I am really tired too. I saw you are looking into dopplers. I just ordered one off ebay for $120 plus about $20 for shipping. It is a Sonotrax 3 MHz which are supposed to be really good. I'll let you know when I get it how it goes if you want. I just hope it doesn't take too long to get to Canada. Take Care ang -
Thursday, 28 Feb hey... just wanted to let you know that there is a doppler named Angelsounds fetal moniter, and I just ordered one... I've read all the reviews and it's a really good one from what I see. It also has early heartbeat detection at 12 weeks (or in some cases a bit sooner). I bought it on ebay for $40.00 including shipping... just thought you might want to check it out.
Oh yeah, and it's CE approved and is totally safe as well... OhmyDLM -
Wednesday, 27 Feb Hi there. I did some research on Ebay and found one that was FDA regulated. Not all of them are and I really wanted it to be a safe and reliable one. Because of that, I paid a little more money, but I really do love my machine and it works great. It's a Sonotrax and I think I paid about $170, but I bought it outright. You could bid and if you win, get it for much less I'm sure. Hope that helps! bexandella -

Thursday, 21 Feb Hiyya - I too have suffered from severe migraines all my life. I used to take preventatives 2x/day just to keep them at bay, but those medications are not safe during pregnancy. I met with my doctor who prescribed Tylenol 3 for me...said it's perfectly safe and if that's the only medication I have to take for migraines than I'm doing great. I can take 1 or 2 (he said its definitely ok to take 2 if I need to) every 4 hours as needed. Of course, check with your doctor to see if this works for you, but for me...works like a charm. I just take what I need and either lay down with an ice pack or take a warm shower. Hope you find something that helps - I know these things can be miserable. Good luck! augustbabe -
Thursday, 21 Feb Hey there! I have suffered from migraines my whole life but luckilly they haven't been bad since I became pregnant. I've found that the best way to treat them is to take something right away when you first start feeling it. The best remedy that I have is a quick dose of caffine (like a cup of coffee) and a painkiller. Since you are preggers you are probably limited to Tylenol. My doctor told me that the caffine and Tylenol is perfectly safe but check with your doc. Once I do that I lay down in a really dark room with a cold pack on my head and I don't move until I feel it ease up. I usually get into a fetal position facing down with my legs tucked under me and I put the cold pack on the pillow underneath my forehead. I've found that what works with one migraine doesn't always work with another. Sometimes a hot shower helps, or holding my wrists under really cold or hot water. Also sucking on ice cubes or filling my mouth with very cold water and holding it up around my gums (my teeth are not sensitive but yours may be). I've kinda discovered over the years that my body will tell me to do something (like get in a hot shower) and if I listen to it it usually helps. I know how horrible these headaches are and they can really interfere with life. Just keep trying different things and listen to your body. If you only get them with pregnancy its most likely hormone related, but the good thing with that is they will hopefully go away after pregnancy. I hope you get some relief soon. Best of luck! amberrd -
Tuesday, 12 Feb Congratulations on hearing the heartbeat! We got to hear our little one yesterday - it was SUCH a reassuring sound!!! Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy! happymommy -
