I love this site...a little about me...I am 24 years old. I have been married for 4 1/2 years (we've been together 9 years). 2 weeks after wedding I found out I was pregnant!!! We did not know when we got married, and we did not get married because of suspicion I was pregnant!!! I was between 4-6 weeks pregnant. I had 3 dr. appts between then and the time I turned 11 weeks preg. They heard no heartbeat at 11 weeks and told us everything was okay, baby was just still too small. One week later I started spotting and rushed to er because I was scared. ER Dr told us baby had stopped growing at 7 1/2 weeks however the amniotic sac reached 12 weeks. D&C was scheduled for next morning. I had mc.

It took my husband and I 1 1/2 years to concieve again.End of May 05 I found out I was preg, June 5 I started bleeding and after 1 week of HCG testing and bedrest, nurse called and confirmed HCG levels had dropped by 1200. We had mc again.

In Dec of 05 I found out 3 days before my b-day I was preg again...scared to death!!! I hadn't given myself enough time to heal emotionally. In Aug of 06 my daughter Caitlin was born!!! My delivery was induced, delivery progressed, Caitlin's heart rate kept spiking off the charts and after about 2 hours of pushing after epidural was cut off dr ordered Emer. c-section, readministered epidural. Caitlin was born with ABS (Amniotic Band Syndrome-when amniotic sac ruptures on the inside while pregnant causing bands that make the sac to hang loose and baby can play with bands and entangle digits and/or limbs while they are forming) Caitlin's right hand has a little bubble for her middle finger, her left hand is webbed together except for her thumb (looks like a mitten), Right foot is missing 2 toes and has a bubble for her big toe, her right ankle has a partial band. This has not stopped her from doing anything!!!! She has had one surgery at 6 months old and she is still the happy outgoing little girl everyone knows!!! She is my beautiful angel!!! My mom gave me a plaque when she was born that reads "God gave you the best he Had".

Caitlin just turned 1 and the end of Aug we found out I am preg again!!! I'm terrified, I am only 24 years old and have been preg 4 times and 3 had complications...I haven't found an even ground to get comfortable yet. I love telling my story in hopes that it helps other young moms going through similar circumstances. I was blessed and I still cry for the 2 I lost.

Hey!!! DEFINATELY felt baby kick for first time tonight, 3 little pats on inside of belly. Thought I did earlier at nap time but wasn't for sure, this was FOR SURE!!! We go Dec. 18th to find out boy/girl!!!

January 22, 2003...Soo It's a GIRL, we found out on my birthday!!! What a present!!! Caitlin will have a sister!!! I never did, just an older brother and a younger brother. After that ultrasound we were sent to specialist to check EVERYTHING because of previous complications, and she "double checked for us...STILL girl!!! Everything is going as planned, on January 3, she said baby is weighing 1 lb 2 oz. We finally decided on a name we both loved...Kimberlee Grace. Kimberlee is after my stepdad, and Grace is because my husband and I both love the song Amazing Grace and just watched the movie. Ohhhh, how sweet the sound. Caitlin still kisses my belly but she doesn't like when mommy hold or rocks her "baby" dolls to sleep, so we will be working on jealousy soon, but I know she will be a "big" help.

Update on Caitlin's appointments...we went back to Shriner's on Jan. 15 and her surgeons still want her to be 25-30 lbs before next surgery. She still only weighs alittle over 15 pounds., but she's healthy!!! In a way it's a blessing, I was worried we would have to stay overnight with me farther along or with a newborn. Now with it pushed back both my husband and I can be there with and for her!!! Dr says surgeries are really just cosmetic and will mainly improve function of her hands so there is no rush, She is soooo amazing, she does everything and nothing stops her...(alittle spoiled), but very independent!!! I get soo emotional when I see "Birth Day" and parents say, "we just want a healthy baby...ten fingers and ten toes...". My little princess has 5 fingers, one mitten (four fingers webbed) and she has eight toes and is happy healthy and EXTREMELY outgoing!!! Just rememebr the only characteristic that makes us the same, IS we are all different!!!

So far eveything is going okay, 2 wks ago we had a scare, I thought I was having contractions (only thing I could compare to was pain I was in after they started pitocin and gel with Caitlin) . They ran a test and it showed I wouldn't go into preterm within 2 wks...2wks later I'm still preg and starting to feel like it's overrated, LOL. Ask me on another day if I love being pregnant...This was Caitlin's first easter to be able to hunt eggs and she found 16 real ones and 6 filled eggs, of course once she found a candy filled egg she stopped hunting and figured out how to get into the candy. She is teething and extremely moody!!! I have started nesting outside, getting all of my spring/summer plants done, and hubby has been a great help!!! The houe on the other hand I have decideed to let go because I can clean one day and toys and dishes are everywhere the next...it's the only way to get rest. I NEED to pack my bags, and haven't found the energy to do any of that. It's getting hard to move around.

We got to the hospital at about 4:45 am...by 5:00 we were hooked up to monitors and shaved and ready for c-section. At 7:oo am, anesthesiologist came in and explained spinal to us...I was taken to OR for administering of spinal...by 7:30 dr was in room and I was ready and my hasband was called into the room to sit right behind my right shoulder...He held my hand entire time!!! At exactly 7:40am, we hear Kimberlee Grace's FIRST CRY!!!! I cried, they brought her to me i cried more, josh wiped my eyes...i kissed her and first thing i could say ws..."She has a double chin!!!" (My great grandmother passed, loved that she had a double chin and was proud of it!!!) Josh was allowed to carry Kimee out while I was being finished putting back together. We spent Tues-Fri in hospital and had a wonderful time...Caitlin was soooo scared ofmomma being hooked up to blood pressure cuffs!!!

Kimee is doing good!!!! Caitlin is such a "lil momma"!!! Kimee has had her days of projectile vomiting...lol, almost looks possesed....she went to dr this am and it turns out she has gained weight and is now weighing 7lbs even sooo they are not too worried and think it may just be like others have said and be reflux. She was given Avil to take 2x a day, and switched to soy based formula. We aren't too sure abou tthat yet, but gonna give it a try. Ohhhh it's amazing watching the two girls together...even though Kimee isn't "respnding just yet...Caitlin talks to her during feedings and burping!!! I LOVE it!!!!!

Been a few months since I updated, so I figured I would catch up. Kimee started smiling at about 4 wks....it's sooo precious. Of course her first smiles were for momma. Kimee had her 3 month shots on Friday, she weighed 10lbs even...21.5 inches long. Caitlin also had a checkup...she weighed 19lbs even...31 inches tall. Caitlin has an appt with Shriner's tomorrow. Not sure what they are going to tell us, but I'm sure it'll be okay....keeping faith!!! Kimee, is making so many funny precious noises now...almost tells me a whole story...Caitlin is loving on her baby sister...calls her MEEMEE...instead of Kimee. I love it!!! I hope it sticks just between them two. I'm thinking Kimee may be trying to start teething...she has been knawing at her hands lately, and shaking her fist across her mouth. She has slept through the night the last 2 nights!!YAY!! Momma got some sleep!!! Caitlin is having her b-day party next month...DISNEY PRINCESS PARTY, for our princess!!!Hopefully I can upload pics soon...seems to freeze me up when i try to lately...Take care, and I hope to update sooner!!!
