Hi everyone! My husband and I are really excited to be getting ready for our first baby. We just tied the knot on Oct. 27th, so we are newlyweds and thrilled that we got pregnant on our first try. Being a little older, I was very relieved, many people tried to tell me it could take over a year, if I got pregnant at all. So, we are just over the moon.

I am due August 22nd, we had our first ultrasound in week 7, (pics below) and we got to hear the heartbeat on Feb. 14th, yes, St. Valentine's Day. It was the perfect way to celebrate that holiday, now married, pregnant, and listening to that beautiful sound.

Our second ultrasound was Wednesday, 3/19. I've attached a picture of our baby's beautiful profile.

It's a GIRL!!!!

We are so excited. Now we can start the overwhelming task of registering, and picking a theme/colors for the nursery. Best of luck to everyone, thanks for checking out my page.

babymother - Tuesday, 1 July
hey there, i am planning to do them to..im going to use olive oil as reccomended by my midwife and will probably do it in the bath... yeh im curious too...hope it helps.... let me know how urs goes!

becky468 - Tuesday, 1 July
No he doesn't know but I go on Thursday and will bring it up to him. I heard with the primrose oil that it will not make you go into labor. Your body has to be already starting to prepare for it. Its supposed to help with helping dialate faster when you do go into labor.

becky468 - Monday, 30 June
I am taking it now I started last night. I took 2 500milgrm pills and two inserted into my vayj. I didn't massage it I just put them up there as far as I could reach. As for my husbands help,,,,I think he would be scared, sex is even to scary for him right now. lol. If your husband can do that for you then hes a saint and your very lucky.

Can't say that I overly diligent this week
So I think I'm going to do week four over again.
Waking up and listening sounds like a good idea. I think I'll try to get that into my routine once school is over and school is over soon
I'm still working on my hubby, I just have to find the right time. Honestly, I don't know if he'll do them with me, so I might just have to be on my own with this one.

Overall, I've been feeling good...I'm feeling my weight gain though...30+lbs OY! I went swimming on the weekend which was great and I'm going to try to keep up with it, but boy, did I feel like a beached whale when I got out;)

How are you doing?

tdotali - Tuesday, 10 June
I still fall asleep which is why when I listen to a track for the first time, I skip the deep relation part and listen to the rest while I'm doing some mundane activity like chores, or prep for school. That way I feel that I know what is on the track and if I fall asleep the next time, then it might sink in better.
I also make sure that my IPod only plays one track at a time. I find that the silence at the end wakes me up:) But supposedly we're not asleep, we're just in a state of hypnotic anesthesia.
Last night I also mentioned to my husband that I need his help with this program. Slowly, slowly I'll get him to help:)

tdotali - Saturday, 7 June
No, I can't say that I listen everyday although I do try to listen at least 4-5 times a week. I don't practice the fingerdrop technique at all though...I just forget to do it:)

I too am working on my husband. I told him the other day that I'll eventually need him to do some hypnobabies stuff with me. So, now it's in his head and I just have to find the right time to get him to do it!!

How's your pregnancy so far? Have you been enjoying it?

jenelle - Friday, 6 June
well i am doing ok just a little pains

nich-vegas-mommy2be - Thursday, 5 June
There are definitely times my skin feels tight! I only do lotion at night, and when I wake up sometimes it still feels like my skin hasn't absorbed it all! I just try to lotion, and drink a lot to stay hydrated. I try to keep from scratching at my tummy when it starts to itch - I don't know if scratching it would do anything but I am so paranoid! lol!

jenelle - Thursday, 5 June
well congrats on the names. hope that that you are ok you are 2 days ahead of me

nich-vegas-mommy2be - Wednesday, 4 June
thanks! I am PRAYING the stretch marks don't come! They say it's genetic, but I really don't have anything to judge by because both my mom and sister had preeclampsia - so they swelled up ALOT and gained quite a bit of weight. So their stretch marks could be from that! I do the lotion thing every night, lol :)

nich-vegas-mommy2be - Wednesday, 4 June
I am guessing I 'passed', since my doctor said they would only call if there was a problem. I haven't gotten a call yet, so I am assuming it's ok? lol. I would rather them call and actually tell me it's ok then wait til my next appt to hear it! The drink wasn't too terrible, just a little bitter I think. How did it go for you?

jenelle - Tuesday, 3 June
all they called me is jay for short

jenelle - Tuesday, 3 June
thank you. no one ever made fun of my name

Amanda26 - Monday, 2 June
I live in Illinois by Chicago. We just had a really hot weekend finally here. I went to Southern Illinois over Memorial Day weekend. Which it was like 90 degrees and humid. Made me look like I had no ankles. It felt like if you poked my feet or ankles that they would deflate like a balloon. I'm sure Florida is much hotter then here. We seem to get humidity when we get hot weather.

Amanda26 - Monday, 2 June
Well pretty good. I think I may have an issue with ankle swelling do to hot weather. How are you?

ready - Monday, 2 June
We are doing great. I'm ready for my little boy to be here. I'm tired of being pregnant.

tdotali - Saturday, 31 May
Unfortunately my husband is a bit a skeptic and doesn't necessarily think it will work...which doesn't help. (My hubby's been driving me little crazy lately ) Even though he's totally for a natural childbirth and thinks that this is a better option than using drugs.
I think it will work as already I notice that when the CD uses certain cues, I feel my body relaxing.
I can't believe there's only 13 weeks to go. Our babies will be here before we know it!!!!
How's your husband in this process? Is he supportive?

margysd - Friday, 30 May
Overall I am feeling pretty good, I would like to have the baby. It has been a long wait and my husband and I are looking forward to meeting our girl.

tdotali - Thursday, 29 May
I try to listen everyday, but sometimes it doesn't happen. But I try to listen as often as I can before bed, because I always fall asleep. If I do it when I come home from work, I'll have trouble getting to bed that night.
I think once the school year is done (in 4 weeks!!) I'll have more time and I'll due the hypnobabies in the morning when I'm not as tired.

margysd - Wednesday, 28 May

tdotali - Wednesday, 28 May
How do you find the Hypnobabies? What's it like in comparison on the Hypnobirthing?

tdotali - Thursday, 22 May
I ordered it off of hypnobabies.com. It's not cheap but it is cheaper than the hyponobirthing course.
So far so good as I've already noticed a difference in my anxiety level. A couple of weeks ago I couldn't get negative thoughts out of my head, I was just so worried about potential outcomes. It's because it's difficult being pregnant at my work. I teach at a kids rehab and I see on a daily basis what can go wrong (during both pregnancy and birth)...but I've been feeling really good since I've been listening, especially the pregnancy affirmation track. There's also a yahoo group that you can join and there are lots of great birth stories.
The only trouble is finding the time to devote 30-40 min everyday, but then again, you can fall asleep to it:)
Let me know if you decide to order it!
