I feel like poo :( I've been having braxton hicks since about 25 weeks, but since yesterday they are actually a bit painful! I was up till 3 and then my little 2 year old got me up at 8.. im pooped.. I'm wondering if it's a sign of labour. I hope not.. he's not due for another 4 weeks!! Still have alot to do!

Other than that, the last few weeks of pregnancy have been difficult. I had a horrible itchy ugly rash all over my tummy :( which is now thank fully going away. But got bad swelling in my legs and itchy calfs and ankles - didn't itch at all with #1. But apart from that all is peachy :o)

Still not totally decided on a name... maybe it's time to do another poll lol.

So I went for my first be u/s today and the baby is totally healthy so that's great :o)

We found out that it's a boy!! I am a bit sad because I really thought it was a girl and I really wanted a girl... but I'm trying to get excited about this baby. It's going to be wonderful for Kai to have a little brother and he's going to have such fun.

Now I'm just trying to overcome my dissapointment which is really bothering me... I should be just happy I have a healthy baby.. which I am.. well.. I'm sure I'll be totally fine in a day or two and I want to be excited and this little baby.

I had a check up today with my Ob/Gyn and she did an ultrasound and I found out I'm actually 12 weeks along instead of 10! woo hoo! it was so lovely seeing the mini baby wriggling around in there even though the image was pretty blurry... it's frustrating not being able to feel the baby yet and not know if everything's ok or not, so I feel reassured now :o) I've got my first big u/s at the end of April (where they measure the neck and all that) so I'm hoping to get some good pictures and maybe find out if it's a boy or a girl!!! the not knowing is really killing me!!

I'm feeling much less nauseous these days but I still don't seem interested in food at all really. Except the odd burst of craving (ate a load of Oreo's the other day lol - made me feel rather sick afterwards though!) the fatigue is still there and I really hope that is going to let up soon.

I can't believe that my little boy is already 2 and that I am pregnant with my second baby!! It was only 8 months ago that I remember thinking that I wasn't ready for another one yet, but it's amazing how soon your feelings change... we started TTC around the end of November, so it took us a few months.

So far this pregnancy is so different from my first. With Kai I was very tired and I had really sore breasts from the very beginning, but that was it... With this one I've been nauseated from the start - I haven't been sick yet - just feeling so so sick all the time. The doctor has given me something to take for it and it helps a bit - at least I can eat now! I'm also way way more tired that last time - but I imagine that's because I'm running after an energetic 2 year old this time round ;o) Strangely my breasts aren't hurting at all... I only stopped breast-feeding Kai about 2 weeks ago as that was starting to really hurt my nipples, but no sore breasts... Kai isn't liking the fact that he can't breast-feed though... it's tough going right now which is kinda hard to deal with :( ...any advice would be welcome :o)

We are really impatient to find out the sex of the baby, even though I know it's going to be weeks yet before we can find out. I'm secretly hoping for a girl this time. I wanted a boy first because I always wanted a big brother growing up (I'm the big sister) and I wanted my kids to have a big bro.. and I got my wish! Let's see if he get's a little sister! (but of course whatever we get will be amazing.. don't get me wrong!)

For now though I'm just concentrating on having a healthy pregnancy and I'm anxious to get past the 12 week mark... I have a doctors appointment on the 4th April and I'm really looking forward to that.. fingers crossed!!

Hi!

Well, I've just discovered this site and it looks really great I've got a gorgeous little boy called Kai and he had his 2nd birthday yesterday. We had a little party at my mum's house with close family and a few friends and Kai had a great time. I'm also pregnant with baby #2 !! So Kai will be a big brother!

I'm not married, but my partner and I have been together for 10 years and we live in Brussels.
