I'm Jameela. I'm 25 yrs old and married to a wonderful man and we have two children. He has a son that will be 3 yrs old in May and we have one daughter together who is almost 15 months.
Now I'm pregnant again, due Sep18. The doctor's aren't really sure about my due date. It changes everytime I go for a check up. They are already considering me high risk. They say it's because I had gestional diabetes with my daughter and I only have 1 1/2 kidneys. Now to top all that off they just found a cyst on my right ovary. I've already had what they call a "threatened miscarriage". They say thats when I almost lost the baby but made it to the ER in time. I just hope everything is going to be ok. My husband is in Iraq again so I have to pretty much deal with all this on my own. I'll be sure to put updates as I continue my doctors appointments throughout this pregnancy. And I'll post pictures as soon as I get big enough.
April 3: I finally felt the baby move today. It was a little weird, it felt like I was just hungry. Like my stomach was growling. But I had just ate so that's when I was reading that it might be the baby moving.
April 10: Ok, I went to the doctor today, 16 wk check up. My doctor still has problems remembering who I am. I really need a new doctor. All she did today was listen to the heart beat and take more of my blood to check for disorders. So I've had my 3hr glucose test and the down syndrome test. Now I'm just waiting to find out the gender.
April 22: Ultrasound today... IT'S A GIRL!!!! I get to have another beautiful little princess.
July 1: I went in for a regular check up today. For some reason they wanted me to redo my glucose test, I failed it. So now I have to go and do the 3 hr one all over again next week. This sucks! But the baby is fine, moving alot more, you can even see it through my shirts.
July 22: I went in for another ultrasound today. Everything is going well. I passed all my glucose test this time around. The doctor says she's now 4 lbs 4 oz. I think that's kind of big since I'm only 31 weeks. I just can't wait til she gets here now.
Sep 1: Ok, I haven't been able to update this too much. Lots of school work to do. I'm currently going to the doctor every week. The only problem they see so far is that I apparently have too much fluid. She first told me about 3wks ago. They like the fluid to be between 10-15cc ad at the time I had 25.7cc. As of last week it has still been increasing. It was at 35cc last week. I'll be checked again on Thursday. I'm being told that it's nothing they can do about it and doesn't know what's causing it either. I hate this not knowing stuff. But they did change my due date, instead of the 25th, I've been moved up a week to the 18th. But still no signs of labor yet. I haven't dialated at all. I need her to stay in at least til after the 15th when my husband comes home.
Sep 6: I hope eveyone is doing well. As of last week I'm still gaining more and more fluid for some unknown reason. I'm going to see some high risk specialist on Monday so hopefully that goes well. The doctor is supposed to let me know what's going on by next Thursday. Hopefully she will have good news. I'm currently only 1cm dialated 0% effaced. So not much progress in the labor area as of yet. But that's fine with me. I'll post more next week afte I see the doctor on Thursday.
My baby shower was today as well. It turned out great even though we started with alot of rain. I never had a baby shower before so it was very interesting but fun all at the same time.
Sep 8: Went to see that specialist today. He say everything looks fine. The fluid is down now, only 24cc which is great from the 36cc I had last week. She is weighing in at 8lbs 9oz. The only concern now is that she's currently breech. This isn't good because I dont have much time left before my due date. Well, I go back on Thursday so hopefully she turns back around and everything works out. I can't imagine getting a c-section. I'm scared of surgery.
Sep 11: Just came from my doctor's appointment. So far she is still breech. The doctor just scheduled me for a C-section on Tuesday. I'm scared to death of that but it seems that's what I'm going to have to do. I go for another ultrasound tomorrow to check to see if she's still breech.
Sep 12: I just had another ultrasound. She is finally back in position. So hopefully she stays this way. I go back in on Monday to cancel the C-Section and schedule an induction. Hopefully she's still in place.
Sep 15: Had another appointment today. My C-Section is cancelled for tomorrow. Now I'm scheduled to be induced on Saturday afternoon. So far the baby is still turned the right way. Hopefully she stays that way. The doctor is going to recheck on Thursday just to confirm everything is good to go on Saturday.
Congratulations to all of the mommies who have had thier babies already and good luck to those still waiting like me.
