Piper Makenna and Connor John... Born on July 10th at 1251 and 1253.Piper 5lbs 11oz and Connor 5lbs 5oz .Sweet and precious angels.Pics to follow soon....
FEB 28---18 weeks 4 days Twins ...twins.....Twins-----BABY A `GIRL~ BABY B BOY both weighted in at 8 oz both heartrates were 140`s they were movin around like crazy but I still haven`t felt anything......Im waiting.............next appt march 11

March 11 --20 weeks 2 days... Baby A girl 110z... Baby B BOY 13 oz... Both hearttones in the 140`s. mamma has gained 22lbs already. YIPS YIPS!!! Both babies very active. I have felt only tap tap here and there. Im waiting for the big kicks. Baby A measured 19 weeks 2 days baby B measured 20 weeks 4 days. Baby B is alittle bigger then baby A. This has been the case since day1. Doc said not to worry that this ok. Should have a scheduled C-section at 36-37 weeks. oh yeah tummy measured right at 20 weeks so not as big as I thought. Next appt is March 27 with maternal fetal specialist then april 8 with reg OB_GYN.
March 27---22 weeks 4 days---- BAby A the girl was 1 lb 1oz heartrate 147 baby B Boy 1 lb 2 oz both measured 22 weeks 3 days.Baby A was doing some practice breathing.Both babies very active.mamma has gained 28 lbs.Cevix measured 4.8...................
April 8 ----- 24 weeks 2 days the dreaded diabetic testing.Will let you know resullts.Both babies were active with baby A heartrate 150 baby B 130.My belly was measuring at 30 weeks.Gained another 5 lbs bringing the total to 33lbs.OMG!!!!!No no wonder everything hurts. Appts will be every 2 weeks .Next appt April 22 with OBGYN and April 24 with maternal fetal specialist.
April 22-----26 weeks 2 days---Reg obgyn appt found out that glucose test results were 117. Both hearttones good. Belly measurement 37 cm.Yips that is the size of a single fetus at 37 weeks.Gained another 3lbs bringing the total to 36 lbs.HOLY COW!!!! Otherwise uneventful. I have an appt tomorrow with maternal fetal specialist and an u/s so I will update tomorrow.Next appt with obgyn is May 13th.
April 24-------.26 weeks 4 days...---- Baby A my girl her weight was 1lb 15 oz heartbeat 147 and she had hiccups.You could see her `practice breathing` .She is now head down on the left side.Her brother Baby B weight was 2lbs 4 oz and measured 26 weeks 2 days his heartrate was 144.He is head up on my right side facing backwards. .He was punching with both fists clenched..Both babies were very active and their measurements were on track.Next appts are OBGYN on May 13th and maternal fetal specialist on May 22.......
May 13------29 weeks 2days ---Uneventful OBGYN appt..Baby A heart tones 140`s Baby B 120`s.Gained another 3lbs bring the total to 39lbs.Belly measured at 37 weeks.Next U/s is May 22. Complained about my feet that hurt so bad I can no longer sleep at night and they said it was tendons prob inflamed .Have to get some splints to wear at night..
MAY 22------30 WEEKS 4DAYS -U/s with maternal fetal specialist Baby A(GIRL) weighted 3lbs 7oz heartbeat 149. Baby B (BOY)weight was 3lbs 6oz hearttones 161.Both were moving good. Both had hiccups and both were practice breathing.Baby A was head down but is now head up on the left side facing backwards.Baby B is lying across the top with his legs wrapped kind of around my belly button.He is facing my back as well.Their heads are real close together.Unless there are problems the next appt and u/s with maternal fetal specialist is June 19th.Next appt with reg OBGYn is May 27th.
May 27th ---OBGYN appt was uneventful.They did an u/s to check hearttones both were in the 120`s.They didn`t even measure my belly .I was concerned about a breast lump which the doc checked and wanrts a breast u/s and possible needle biopsy on Friday.Worried silly about it.No weight gain this wek so that is good.
May 30th---- breast us possible needle biopsy
June 4th---32 weeks 3 days---Visit reg OBGYN for NST and BPP both babies scored 8/8.Belly measured 44 weeks, weight gain was 1 lb only. Breast us neg. Will be seeing the doc weekly for NST .
June 12th---33 weeks 4 days ---NST both babies did well.Lost 3 lbs.Scheduled c section for July 14 but doc said may go into labour before this and they will do c section then.Both babies still breech .
June 18th ---34 weeks 3 days NST scheduled. Both babies did well.No weight gain this week.Belly measures at 39 weeks.
June 19th ---34 weeks 4 days -appt with maternal fetal specialist for a growth u/s.Both babies weight was 4 lbs 15 oz.The most amazing thing was that they have switched sides.The doc couldn`t beleive it.baby A has moved to the right side and baby B from right to left.They said they had never seen this before.Still no weight gain.Hurrah!!They noticed that Piper had fat rolls on her back.You coulds see both breathing and moving well.c section scheduled for july 14.Hoping I don`t make it that far........
June 26th --35 weeks 4 days-----NST both babies did well.Had a large amt of swelling and Bp elevated .Have to go to have Bp and swelling checkon Monday.Doc wanted to put me on bedrest but I talked her out of it .Legs swollen very bad all the way up my thighs.Feeling bad and sick like I have a flu.
June 30th--36 weeks 1 day Bp and swelling check.Bp improved swelling unchanged..Nobody too concerned.
July 2--36 weeks 3 days NST scheduled both babies did well.Belly measured at 45cm.Weight gain total 45lbs how depressing.Swelling bad all the way up my legs.Bp 134/90 they weren`t concerned .Next visit will be my last until the c section on the 14th.Really hoping to go in labour before.
July 9--- NST scheduled. Bp elevated swelling bad.Doc sent me immediatly to hospital to be monitored.C section within 24hr.Yips
July 10----- c section scheduled at1200.Doc wanted to do c section last night but I was so scared and not mentally ready she said ok to do it today at 12.00.Piper makenna was born at 1251 weighting 5 lbs 11 oz and beautiful .Her brother Connor John followed at 1253 weight was 5lbs 5oz.Connor looks exactly like his daddy and won my heart immediatly.The doc had trouble getting Piper out as she was breech and her head was ~stuck`.They had to make 2 incisions in my utewrus to free her.It was scary for a moment.
July 13---Both my angels are home.They are so good.They sleep 3 -4 hours at a time and have to be woke u
p for feedings.They are the most beautiful babies I have ever seen.pics coming soon..
Aug 11---- Babies are 4 weeks old and weights are 9lbs 3oz each.They are so good and sleep 4 or 5 hours at night.They are holding their heads up alot and are so so sweet.Im so in love with both of them.piper is the feistier of the two.Connor is so sweet but his tears will break your heart.
SEPT 10 -----2 MONTHS OLD ---Piper weight is 11lbs 20z and Connor is 11lbs 4oz.They sleeep 6 hours at night.They are so sweet.They smile all the time and laugh out loud.I love them dearly.

Hey girl,
Still doing good. I have been a little more uncomfortable today. I think most of it is bladder related. But I am feeling better! I went to my last appt yesterday with the specialist. I will now just continue to see my regular OB once a week with an U/S. The specialist was very positive. He sayd I have done great since the surgery. He said that the doctors up in Cincinnati had been somewhat concerned about our case just because they haven't really done many surgeries in cases so early on in a pregnancy. Of course, we never knew they had those reservations, but I'm glad we didn't!
The boys weighed 2 lbs 5 oz and 2 lbs 6 oz. I was so glad they had a growth spirt! He said he is going to recommend that my OB put me on a fetal heart monitor in 2 weeks and also give me a few steroids shots at that time to help with lung maturity. All that talk makes me nervous about just how close we could be to having our boys!
i hope you are doing well without your honey being there. Do you have someone close by that you can call if you have any problems while he is out of town? The thought of you being home by yourself makes me nervous!

Hello this is my second pregnancy and again have restless leg syndrome. The only thing that I find that works the best is to eat a banana half hour before bed. I was told to do this from swimmers who get leg cramps and it seems to work almost everytime.

hey girl, I know how you feel...I want to go out shopping so bad! The only things we have so far is the bedding. My mother-in-law bought it Friday. Hopefully tey will start on the nursery next weekend. We are using cribs we already had in the family, plain white, and we are painting my husbands old furniture white and using it. We are going to have my friend's dad put new carpet down after we paint. I would love to have the nursery done in the next 2-3 weeks. i was going to wait until they get here, but I decided it would be nice to have it done and start organizing. Well, have my family organize while I watch.
No names yet. We have a short list of names we like, but I like them all. I wish we could just make a decision!
I am feeling pretty good. sleeping is getting a little easier. I used to stay up until 2 or 3 am, but now I try to go to sleep at least by midnight. according to my monitor I had 3 contractions during my hour of monitoring. That makes me nervous. They say my doctor does have a problem with that until I have 4 or more in an hour. At that point I'm supposed to take my medicine and re-monitor. I haven't had 4 yet, but I took my medicine last night just because it made me feel less anxious.
I'm sorry that your having problems with your feet and knees! I guess I'm lucky in some ways being on bedrest.
I'm glad you are getting to visit with your sister, I know it makes time go by eaasier! I think if I had visiters everyday, the weeks wouldn't crawl by. I know my mom and sister come over, but having other people over is really nice. I'm a little put out with some of my friends who have yet to make an effort to come by and visit. I talk to them all the time, but a visit would be nice!

Hey girl! Well, I've made it to 27 weeks and all looks good. No huge growth this week, but they say that is normal and that they will have growth spirts. The fact that we have weekly sonograms makes us more aware of each oz, so we have to chill out a little and not freak out if they don't gain every week. Right now the little baby has pretty much caught up in weight with his brother. They are 1 lb 13 oz and 1 lb 14 oz. We hope they will both be over 2 lbs next week!
My doctor changed things today and said he wants me to get to 32 wks. He had said 34, so that's a change. he also said he wouldn't let me go past 36 wks. So really the boys could come anytime in the next 9 weeks! I guess we better start getting the nursery ready!
You are lucky, I aleady had stretch marks and they have only multiplied! I don't sleep either! I usually don't get to sleep until after 1 a.m. I sleep best if I nap for an hour or two during the day. I think the boys are already trying to get me on their schedule, and the're doing a pretty good job of it!
I am so envious that that you can actually sneak out to Target! I would never make it! I get tired and sore just going to the doctor!
Thanks for the lunch offer! We'll have to take a rain check. Maybe we could meet up sometime this fall. We usually try and take my nephew to the Auquarium sometime during the year. This fall would be good. Maybe we could make it happen.

It is so depressing! I decided this morning that once school gets out (I am a teacher) I am going to go to the beach every morning for a walk! That will be nice and hopefully keep this weight in check! As for the hubby.. I had already passed him weeks ago!! He is 6'4" and weighs 180.. skinny little thing!! I am 5'10" and more than 180!!!

I will continue on bedrest until their arrival except to go to the doctor. I am doing pretty good. My husband is driving me crazy. He is so moody all the time and acts like I am asking for the world when I ask for him to actually leave the house and drive to go get me REAL food to eat! Yesterday he brrought me a late lunch but I was of course hungry again at dinner time. When I told him i was hungry for dinner, he bought me a box of Nilla wafers!! When I told him I wanted real dinner, i.e. steak and baked potato, he said he wasn't going out to get it and that we didn't have any at the house. I told him he better get me something other than Nilla Wafers... I got Grilled cheese sandwiches. Thankfully for him, I like grill cheese.
He just called on his way home from work asking if I needed anything. I said it depended on if he would consider what he brought me to be late lunch or early dinner. He made it sound like he would go out again and get me something later if I got hungry again. But even if he does, he will bitch and moan about it! I don't think he understands just how happy I would be to be able to go and get my own dinner or be able to go to the store and be able to cook my own dinner!!!
Sorry, he just frustrates me sometimes!

Hey, as far as the 3D ultrasound goes, I don't plan on doing it. I have so many ultrasounds and sometimes she will turn on the 3D if they are cooperating, but that isn't very often. I think it would be a waste of money because the babies have to be acing just the right way to get a good picture. I have too many friends who paid to have it done with their singleton baby and they didn't get any good pictures, so I figure with two the likelihood of getting good pictures is very unlikely. I think Allyson has gotten very lucky to get such good images! My luck both my boys would be facing towards my back. It might be easier though with fraternal twins now that i think about it. My boys are just laying all over each other these days, literally!

great picture. Glad to see we are about the same size. At the dr. today I measured 34 weeks at 26! The appt went great. They weigh 1 lb 11 oz, and 1 lb 14 oz. And thankfully I've actually gained about 3 lbs in the last two weeks. That still only makes a total of about 8 all pregnancy! Next time I'm dressed in something other than sweats and a t-shirt I'll get Chris to take a picture I can post. I was glad to hear that you passed your GTT. Are you still cramping? Hugs to all!

Hey, thanks for the info! I've gained a lot of weight since I got pregnant and I am kind of worried about it. . .probably shouldn't be, but you never know! I don't want to have diabetes. . .I am a worry-wort, though, and I worry before every test/ultrasound/exam! I know I am a little crazy but I just want everything to go well. Hey girls! Yes, I am alive! Gosh I have missed all of you so much! It has been a crazy few weeks and it is still not over! LOL! My family is fallin apart! My grandma is getting sicker and sicker and I refuse to put her in a nursing home so my Aunt and I are going to be taking turns with her. My mom had a nervous breakdown trying to get off drugs so I have custody of my 16 year old sister until she gets better and boy is it rough having a teenager! LOL! So for all of the BDing..well we get it in as much as possible, but it is probably not the best timing! We are letting God do his work and relaxing on all of the TTC!!! I sincerely appreciate all of you checking on me! I am sorry that I am having to copy and paste this to everyone, but I had so many messages! Gosh I am so lucky!! HEHE!! I will try to get on more often! If not, hopefully things will calm down with my life soon and I can have all of my IAP Girls back!!! Hang in there for me!! Love you all...Amy

Oh yes, they will definately be early. They would love for me to at least make it to 34 weeks, but i think it will be earlier than that considering what the experts in Ohio say. but, I would love to be an exception to the rule!
I would assume your GTT was fine! They would have let you know by now because they would be setting you up to have a diabetic education class, ect.
I got really paranoid this morning because they weren't moving as much. I called the nurse and she told me to drink some caffeine and call back. that did the trick! I never drink caffiene, except maybe a sip of my husbands drink every now and then, so it was probably a real shocker to the boys!

Hey girl, I love connor. It was one of our names at one point, i'm not sure why we went another direction. Also, I have a friend names Piper, she is a handfull! So look out! Don't get me wrong, she's a sweetheart! She is also a nurse.
I'm good, i just keep the prayers going! It is of course getting much harder to get comfortable, but it will all be worth it!!! The longer I stay in bed, the sooner they come home after they are born! I saw nadgiev's message on your page, that has got to be scarry for her. But, it sounds like they are doing really well. I will keep them in my prayers as well!
I'm not really a reader, but I actually read an entire book in the last two days! I know I'm getting desperate now! The book is actually really good, it's called " gods in Alabama". It's what I consider a good "beach book".

Girlfriend, no names picked out yet. Our boys are named Daniel, Christian and Connor. (danny is my husband's from his first marriage) and so I was thinking of names starting with "C" for these two. I like Caleb, Cayden, Cameron etc. But, I haven't looked up the meanings of the names, and that will be the deciding factor.
My belly is getting huge too. I look like most of these full-term singleton pregnancies.I sleep with two pillows, one supporting my tummy, and the other supporting my back. My biggest complaint is the heartburn, and fatigue. No stretchmarks yet, except for the ones I already had, so that is good. Other than that, i am just trying to get everything ready before the babies get here. There is tooooo much to do, and we are running out of time. Are you still working? XOXOXOXOXOXO ALLY
