Ok... So I think I will start journaling now. Something I have been very hesitant to do. First I would like to give a Thank You to all the pregnancy blogs and women who have taken the time to make me and others feel very welcomed and secure. With the warm welcomes and friendly advice or for just being a sounding board. I sure did need it at first! At the beginning it was not all that smooth sailing for us, but with the help of our Dr's and support from family, the few friends we told and this site things have definitely turned for the best. Happy to say we are right on track now. To fill everyone in... I am very happily married and have a soon to be 16 year old daughter. So I think it is almost safe to say I am a first time preggers again! Things sure have changed ever so much technology wise and age/body wise for me. M/S graced me with their presence and has managed to continue gracing me ever so slightly * YAY * Fingers crossed it diminishes completely soon. Appointments and screenings have been great and we were fortunate to have seen our lil bean 3 times in this short period of time. We finally had our 1st trimester screening on March 24th done and the results came back ever so positive! So that was a relief that we could ditch some of the other invasive screening they have to offer. Now we get to look forward to our 16 weeks screening. Lloyd is very excited to see what we could be having. I guess the majority rules… they would like to see a BOY. Stay tuned if the baby cooperates we shall know on April 30th.

Hey- I ran around like a crazy woman today getting prepared for Father's Day and the shower, Oh yeah, I bought a dress online that I just tried on again today, it barely fits, it will be funny to see how it shakes out tomorrow, Guess my belly has grown the last 2 weeks since I tried it on :) I'll keep you posted! Happy Father's day to your hubby too!

Now that it is so close I'm getting anxious.. even though I have had a C-Section before, it is wierd that I'm more fearful of the epidural than the actual surgery this time...how funny is that??? I guess it's because I failed to progress last time and I was tired of laboring for 26 hours, lol so I was willing to literally do anything to gethim out :) I am so glad there is another preggers mama that I can share this with! :)

Well, it must be nice to have a name picked out already. We have quite a few options, but no big decisions yet. Boys names are tricky, and I have taught so many children being a teacher, that it rules out quite a few names. I picked up a second hand cot tonight so we at least have that now. Will have to try to put it together in the weekend! Could be interesting!!! Will either top and tail them, or borrow a friend's bassinett and buy another one to go on a stand or hang in the cot on straps. The babies tend to move around at the same time and rest at the same time - they are usually awake late at night or when there is food involved!! LOL! No big waves on my tummy yet, but everyone including me can certainly feel them!! Baby showers in NZ usually only have little prezzies like clothes and toys and nappies, no big stuff, so we may aswell shop for that kind of thing. Well, keep me updated. I hope little Marley is behaving herself! - A.

It was pretty cheap here in Wisconsin $75 and is 6 weeks as well. Hubby has never went through this before so I really did not want to take this experience away from him as we are already having a C-Section and he will not experience the whole running to the hospital/labor thing :)And yes you are right it is pretty much the same with the exception of what new drugs are available for you and next week is the last week and that is all about caring for baby. (By the way, we are the oldest couple in the class, lol!)

Tell your hubby, we pregnant women have to constantly figure out little ways to keep our sanity while carrying a new like inside us :)

Wow! It is beautiful! I love it!

Hey there! I had my 5th baby class tonight. Hubby is out of town so I had to go it alone :) and it was fine. Tonight was c-section night so it really applied to me and what I will be going through shortly.

I'm glad to hear that you too are neurotic and constantly check to make sure baby is moving in there, LOL! You are right, it is a mother's right to have that piece of mind.

Post some pics of the cradle when you have a moment..I'd love to check it out!

sassybuttaphly - Thursday, 12 June
do you have a name for your daughter?

pritygyal - Thursday, 12 June
yup. I love the swimming. I haven't done it for the past 2 days and I'm going crazy lol. Don't exercise if you can't but start slow. It'll hurt you at first... especially afterwards but just walk everyday for 5 minutes at about the same time. You always have 10 minutes for yourself everday and that's when you should do Kegels or take a short walk. Anything will help. M/S still bad. but I haven't thrown up for 2 days if i make it through today lol. That is exciting for me. I still feel nauseous but not enough to vomit so hopefully it stays that way. or gets wayyyyy better. My Dr. is okay I guess. I hope he was just having a bad day. good luck on the lamaze finding and you're right. there's somewhere there for everything but luckily i think my insurance is covering that. They are covering my dentist stuff too so I get my teeth filled!!!! i have like 8 cavities gawsh. I got my teeth cleaned today for free. I still can't believe it. I have a bump... no more hiding lol. I'm going to put a picture up. Happy 6 months!

Hi, how are you doing? Are you nesting and shopping up a storm??? I am cot shopping at the moment, might have to do the second hand thing with 2 babies I think, but there is still lots of time. Oh the things we will need!!! LOL!! Makes my brain hurt. Mum is sewing some curtains for the babies room (Nemo type pattern - very bright) so that will be cool. Already have been given heaps of baby clothes, so have too much already - got about 100 second hand items from a neighbour and a mum at school!! And Justin's mum is knitting up a storm too!!! How are your preparations going? Hope you are well and enjoying your pregnancy. Just love it when they bump around in there! xx

fabforty - Wednesday, 11 June
yeah, I love the heat. Now keep in mind I have never been preggers in the summer, so we will see if this little trooper attitude will continue on those 90 degree days, LOL :)

I do think I'll miss being pregnant. Ir's funny if I don't feel him move for a few minutes I get all paranoid and start rubbing my belly so that he will move around and then I good again. I'm sooo happy that I have been able to carry this baby for so long with no issues. I read all the posts where women are really having pregnancy issues and I just thank God that this has been a virtually issue free pregnancy. Also, I'm getting really excited about the shower:) I love to shop and especially for baby things since they are so cute! I splurged on a ton of ralph lauren clothes when I was only 4 months, LOL. We went crazy buying things when we found out he's a boy! Also, a small flat screen tv for when I'm in his room. That was not a necessity but hubby agreed anyway :) We have also bought a crib and 2 bassinettes, one for my son's room and one for ours since Jordan's room will be on he 2nd level of the house and he won't use the crib consistently for about 3 months. My son wanted a bassinette for his room too because he said he'll be watching him for us anyway, it was so cute we had to buy one for him, I'm a sap for my first baby, what can I say? what kind of cradle is it, it sounds really cool...

fabforty - Tuesday, 10 June
Oh yes, the weather has been insane here from 15 inchee of snow to 10 inches of rain. I'm so glad summer is here, I don't mind the heat but I can not stand the winter and I grew up in the midwest, crazy right?

Jordan is sooo active he protudes out both below my belly button and in the rib area. He loves to turn over as you can see my belly doing waves all the time.

The shower is this weekend so I will see what I need after that, but I have to say the warm weather has brought me back out and wanting to shop now. I'll be patient and see what I end up getting.
