we found out about two weeks ago that we are having two identical little girls. we are very excited. everything is going well so far. I have gained almost 20 olbs, but by 19 weeks I think that is normal. I feel BIGG!!!. I get swollen toes. It's funny. But really I can't complain. I have had a great pregnancy so far. keep you all posted.

so I went in for my 19 week appt last week and was mearsuing about 3 weeks ahead of a normal pregnancy. He says that is normal and everything is good. After my next appt in february, I will start to see him every 2 weeks and he says he will check me as well each time to make sure I'm not thinning out. I know that is a major concern when carring twins. We still have not decided on names for the two girls. But we have plenty of time to come up with them. We are slowly getting things for them. we have their cribs and bedding and car seats. I get a their dresser next weekend for my birthday. I'm so excited. I actually feel like if they were to come we are more ready, not that I want them to come yet. It's way too early. But I'm feelingmore prepared. I feel them every now and than, but it feels more like lots of pressure that just comes and goes. No big kicks yet. But I know it will come. :-) and I'm looking forward to it.

so as of this week i have been pout on best rest. I need to be lying down and staying down as much as possible. Let me tell you this is not easy. I have already 50% thinned out and dilated to a one. so with me being only 27 weeks along I stilll have a ways to go until it's ok for these babies to come out. But being on bed rest, I'm not even sappouse to be on the computer, but I have to give myself some limits or I'm going to go crazy. so I have an ultrasound scheduled next tuesday to see the weight of the babies. I pray they are at least 2 lbs each. i know it doen'st sound like much but it would be a big jump in amonth. It will be extacly 4 weeks from last last ultrasound and they both weighted just over a pound than. so we will see.

ok so it's taken me some time to get on here. I had my little girls last wednesday, April 30, 2008 @ 8:16 and 8:17 via c-section. Ali Ann weighed in at 5 lbs and 1 oz and 18 inches long and Alyssa Jean weighted in at 5lbs even and 18 1/2 inches long. They are doing great. We brought them home on Sunday with me and life couldnt be better.
So the story goes that we were originally going to have a vaginal birth becuase both babies are head down. I had gone into the hospital every day last week with regular contractions and they sent me home with no progress. I had my doctors appt on tuesday and I had progressed since I left the hospital that morning. he said I wold go any day. we ended up in the hospital that night again, got sent home. The following morning (wednesday) It happened again, but worse, but we get there and no progress, so they decide to keep me though cuz the water sack was just sitting there and they were afraid I would break my water just by walking. so they monitor me all day. My doctor come by around 7 and checks me and I have progressed only 1/2 cm. He is not sure if he wants to prgress me to try to keep the babies in a bit longer. He decides to progress me and give me pitocin to get me really going. so he leaves and comes back a few minutes later and tells us that he thinks we should just do a c-section because he is worried with the babies being in the same sack and all that once my water breaks that they will get all tangled up in each others cords,. so we said that was fine. we asked when this would happen and he says within 2 hours. the nurse comes in to prep me to go back and as she is doing that I feel a "pop" and a gush and sure enough my water breaks. so that got them really going. no more than 45 minutes later we had the little girls. They had all the NICU nurses there to prepare them to go there and ended up handing them to Brian. We asked where they were going and they told us with us. It was so nice. I never thought that I would be able to bring my babies up in recovery with us. As we were in recovery before they took us up stairs that was rough. i was sick (vomiting) and it was hard. The first night was fine but by the second night I was in so much pain. as the days go on now, it's not quite so bad. I hurt, but I got such a reward from it.
Beautiful ! congrats !!!
Beautiful! CONGRATS!!
