Zoe had her wretched shots. *sigh* An oral vaccination, and 2 in each thigh. Our poor baby!
She was 13 lbs, 5 oz, and 25 inches long. She's right at the top of the 100% for her age.

Zoe FINALLY rolled all the way over on her own today! Its about time. Zoe is a diva and hates to be on her stomach. She's also discovered a new sound; the best way to explain it is her doing a huge gasp. Its cute when she does it at home, but its not cute in public when it sounds like she's having a freaking asthma attack! She cracks up when she does it, so if she likes it, I love it...

At 4 months of age, Zoe doesn't sleep through the night yet. Like clockwork, she wakes up at 1 am, 3 am, and 6 am, then for good around 7:30 am, JUST to eat. I've tried pumping 4 oz bottles, 6 oz bottles, and even 8 oz bottles to give her before she goes to bed. No matter how much she drinks, she'll still wake up hungry. I can't take it anymore! I read about the mothers who have babies that sleep for 12 hours at night, and I want to be apart of that club! So today, we finally got some Rice Cereal to mix with the milk. We didn't really know how she'd react to it, so to be on the safe side, I pumped a 4 oz bottle, and put a Tablesoon and a half of cereal in it. I hope this works!! *crossing fingers*

The rice cereal didn't work, and Zoe has a cold, thanks to Kam. Lord, give me the strength! My baby can barely breathe out of her nose, and she gets so frustrated when she tries to nurse. She'll be fine during the day, but the real problem occurs when she tries to sleep. I can literally hear the congestion in the back of her nose, and I feel so bad for her! The humidifier doesn't seem to be helping anything. I've been sucking her nose with the bulb, and that doesn't seem to help either. I'm going to try some saline drops in a couple of minutes, hopefully that'll do something. I feel like my breastmilk is no good, since I was under the belief that breastfeed babies rarely get sick. If only she could spit a loogie! I know how nasty it is to spit, but...*sigh*

Dammmmmmmit! My period is here. Its been over a year since I've been down the red river. I must say my period was NOT missed! I need to get some bc, asap! However, the whole idea of breastfeeding and using birth control concerns me...like I have fears; will it make Zoe infertile? I'm already taking thyroid medicine. I'm not looking forward to taking yet another medication that could make its appearance in my breastmilk. There's always condoms...*sucking teeth* Who am I kidding? Asking Kam to wear a condom would be like asking him to put on a pair of stilettos. Men can be so d*mn selfish! We could always go back to using the timing method which surprisingly worked for us, until we slipped up one day which produced Zoe. *insert oxymoron joke here* What if we have another slip up?! I at least wanted to make sure Zoe was potty trained before I became pregnant again...maybe I'm thinking/looking too much into it. But I'm paranoid!!

Thursday, 19 June Girl you are going to go INSANE
if you wait for Zoe to turn 6 weeks before you venture out. Go out for a walk or something...put her in her travel system and keep it moving just be on the lookout for little old ladies who LOVE to touch (I told my husband to get the bail money ready because the next one to try to touch her was getting knocked out
) Start practcing now with short ventures...you'll be amazed at just how much extra time it is getting such a little person ready to goet out of the door. Also...you may find (like I did) that YOU are not as ready as you think you are to be out. Whatever you do DO NOT go out alone the first few times...postpartum recovery is a mother.
Amira is GREAT
Gorwing so fast...doing so many things. My newborn has morphed into a big girl. She wants to sit up and look at the world...she babbles allday long AND it's amazing but at 3 months old she let's you know when she is NOT happy with something. Watching the transformation thus far has been awesome!!!
I take her to have her pics taken every month (I said every month until she turns a year so I can see the progression) She took her first set when she turned a month old. Don't worry Zoe should stop peeling soon. And her color will come in...Amira looked chinese when she was born but now my little girl is caramel brown...LOVING IT!!! jbayb -

Wednesday, 18 June Omg...this may sound stalkerish (if thats a word), but I came across ur page & started reading because I saw ur blog about membrane sweeps...I'm actually 37 1/2 wks now, but my dr says that he'll give me one @ 38 wks.... I read up on it & everytime I got my hopes up about the thought of seeing my daughter sometime next wk, they go right back down bc of that little devil on my shoulder saying "It could work.....but then again it may not"....needless to say ur blog has been such a motivation to me, & the detail of it was great...lol I was scared for a second until u said as soon as it happened it was over (THANK GOD) that kinda gave me a comfort..... so even though we dunno each other....u have just motivated me in ways that I can't even express LOL & once again my hopes for this sweep to actually work are sky high... Thank you soooooooo much!!! ashleynicole -

Saturday, 14 June Too funny girl! Kamryn is doing good girl...She made 6 weeks this past Wednesday and she weighs approximately 10 pounds now. Girl, I told you she was greedy girl....She has caught up with those babies who were born 8lbs or so - LOL! She's at the point now where she's beginning to smile more and cooing girl. She is sooo funny and we'll have conversations girl and its like she really knows what I'm talking about. She only wakes up 1 time in the middle of the night now. Since she's been able to turn her head from one side to the next I've begun to lie her down to sleep on her belly and she sleeps soooo long girl. So remember to give Zoe plenty of belly time during the day after a couple of weeks or so to help strengthen her neck muscles so you can longer hours of sleep...It'll definitely help. I've completely weaned Kammy off the breastmilk now (5-6 weeks was long enough for me) and she is strictly on formula now. Everything has its ups and downs because breastmilk is the best food for babies since its customized especially for their bodies, then you have to worry about what you eat and being their only source of food and waking up to feed them every time they get hungry because you never know how much milk their getting...especailly in the beginning because she falls asleep on your breast and it'll would take an act of congress for me to get her up to finish her feeding
then after I swapped her over to formula, its nice to get a break from breastfeeding, but in the beginning you have to worry about how the formula will affect their tummy and what her poop will look like or will the iron in the milk cause her to be constipated - WORRY, WORRY, WORRY WORRY WORRY!!!! Wow, all of the things that come along with being a mommy girl! Its a trip!
Oh, get this, I had my first drink Thursday night. I drank a Corona with Robert while we watch the playoff game. Girl, I didn't even get through half of that drink and I was soooo f%^ked up!!!!! OMG - I have never been that low tolerance b$%ch in the club. Girl, not only could I only tolerate half of it, I woke up the next morning with a fkin' headache!!! WHY GIRL!!!! Do I have to travel back to the Soul Inn and drink 2-3 Blue MF in the white foam cup to build my tolerance level back up??????? (Just pray for me)
