Hi Karen,

I was reading your post on the breastfeeding forum about giving up breastfeeding. My boy Riley is going to be 3 months in a couple of weeks. I am thinking of giving up too. I've have a really tough time also. My body never really seemed to produce enough milk. Fenugreek never helped all that much. Riley was not able to feed well, I think due to a couple of factors, one being frustration that he was not getting enough and one being I have flat nipples which meant it was hard for him to latch really well.
Well, I feel so sad and pained to give it up, but I'm only able to pump out about 6 oz a day now and it's depressing and a lot of work for barely a feed!
(i get about an ounce at a time).
Did you end up stopping? If so how did your little boy take it? I will miss being close to him. does your little boy still suck on a nipple for comfort even though no milk is there? i will miss that closeness and was wondering once i dry up, can he still suck just for comfort. how long did it take to dry up and did your breasts go back to pre-pregnant size?
sorry for lots of questions, but you and i seem to be a few weeks apart in everything!
btw, i love the run dmc shirt, i have one for riley too, plus a beastie boys one! ;-)

I know! I was soo mad! We have ALWAYS had a sign on our door that sez "no smoking" !!! when i came home and walked into the kitchen and smelled the smoke i about flipped out! I have a hard time saying anything to the hubby because he is sort of a"mommys boy" and tends to deffend his mom!! I didn't feel like fighting so i asked him to tell his mom and dad about it next time we see them. He said he would, but we'll see! lol

I know I don't want to give him any tylenol either yet. 2 nights ago he was so fussy and he wouldn't sleep I got him calmed down w/ apple juice then he would fall asleep I would lay him down and he would cry again. So after 3 attemps I had to let him cry himself to sleep. I felt so bad. His gums aren't even swollen yet. I don't want to see him how he' going to be then. When i know his gums are bothering him I'm going to use frozen wash clothes to naw on, those worked for my girls and he likes to suck on his bibs so I'm thinking it will help for him. Do you have teething rings that you can put in the fridge/freezer? Those help to, but Tanner doesn't like to told his toys, he throws them down.

im doing much better finally knowing what kind of person i have been married to, and as for my babies they are having some problems adjusting to their father not living here. i hope they dont hold it against me as they get older. we are moving to az in june.
all my kids had mohawks as babies. its so cute. and i get so many comments when i go out about it

Hello! Well I finally logged back on to check on everyones babies... and I can't believe they are already 3 months.. I have been on this site with you since we were newly pregnant.. I still find it amazing and wonderful to be a mamma to my wonderful baby... its mind boggling... I actually just wanted to come by and tell you that your baby is absolutely gorgeous! and i love his name!!!!!!
