Our son, Beckett Robert, finally arrived on February 5, 2008, at 11:37 p.m., weighing in at 7 lbs 4 oz and 21 (ouch) inches long! Yaaaay!

Wow, Beckett is now five months old... and we can hardly believe it :) He's very active, starting to sit up by himself, and in 6-12 month clothes.

He's also beginning to experiment (with mommy) with solids. Cereals and fruits are a big hit, but the jury's still out on vegetables like peas.

You are not a bad mom at all! Don't ever think that again! I know what you mean though, I get those feelings anytime I have someone else watch him so I can go do something for myself. I feel like I'm neglecting him, even though I'm not, and we NEED that apart time to keep from going crazy!

Great sites! I tried for 2 naps today with both arms out and he did not sleep well. He is now sleeping with 1 arm out so maybe he feels 1/2 ok with 1 arm out. Tonight will be the real test!! Thank goodness hubby is off on weekends and can get up with him tonight if needed! I hope your hubby got along good today with Beckett after the diaper incident :) My hubby has twice left the house with Owen and not the diaper bag! Men!!

aww thanks! I happen to agree. And I watched your vid of Beckett trying to sit - HOW CUTE! Nyah does the same thing in her nursing pillow and in her carseat. SHe's always trying to sit up more. I can't beleive they're 3 months now, every day seems to take so long but then it seems like the weeks and months pass so fast.

Hey girl! Just back in town from chi town and catching up. I'm so tired........ How is the work thing going? We took Bobby for his second set of shots yesterday. He has been supper fussy all night witha fever. Poor little pumpkin...... :( He has been crying non stop since the shots. How is your camp? Just getting back int he swing of things here since coming home. PS- Boby decided that the first day of our trip he decided that he was not going to nurse anymore. What??????? and I got my period today because of no breastfeeding! hahhahhahah

Oh my goodness Beckett is getting so big. How are yall doing? Looks like your doing great! We are good growing like a weed here too! Last week Savannah was up to 13.8 lbs. Started eating some cereal also. Keep me posted and let me know. Take care!

Aww you too, yeah sort of bitter sweet. Beckett looks so happy in his bouncer, wow that's a nice one! All my stuff is from my first and starting to look out of date! Those tablets sorta help for an hr at a time. So that's what I've been giving him and then the pain reliever before bed. Look at our to little miricles grow!

I often wonder when I will be able to get my full 8 hours of sleep again? Probably never! But I love my son. I wouldn't trade him for the world. It's fun being a mommy, but ALOT of HARD work. I have no help other than from his Father, so between he and I, we are
extremely busy with this busy little boy. Hopefully I can put up some pix soon and you can see him. The c section was horrible! I started having an Anxiety attack and they had to give me some drug that put me on cloud 9 (high as hell)..OMG! I was sooo out of it, but I did hear my babies 1st cry as they pulled him out of my stomach. I think I cried, but TOO drugged to open my eyes. I hated the c section. The shot didnt hurt at all when they stuck it into my spine. I felt nothing. That was great! But the dang Catheter hurt like a son of #$%#@ ..excuse my french. That was the worst! Other than that i recooped in about 1 week and was up and running around. My little one is now 3 1/2 mos ..holds his bottle ..but can not support it on his own yet...he
eats rice cereal in his milk...and wiggles alot..laughs
and cries (of course). he sleeps anywhere from 5-7 hours..especially at night after a nice bath and full 8 0z bottle. How about your little guy ? I was due on the 4th ..but my water broke on the 2nd. How about you "?

I have a sitter. She is a stay at home mom with 6 of her own kids. She home schools them so he gets alot of interaction with others with out the higher risk of getting a cold and stuff. Her youngest is 11 months old and she just loves Riley, I guess she gives him kisses all the time and when he sees her he breaks out into the biggest grin! Its his first girlfriend I guess. My sister has taken her little girl to a day care for the first year of her life and I think she has had a constant cold since being there. Lucky for my sis my neice is the happiest baby in the world and being sick never phased her one bit! I just read your post about your mom not knowing when to leave, I think that would be one of the hardest parts if Jeff's parents were to watch him. We see them once a week for a couple hours and we are dying for a break from them! Anyways, glad you made it through work. :)

I see that you've rejoined the workforce... sucks so bad being away, doesn't it? Ugh. I've been back to work since 4 weeks after I had Paige (she was still in the hospital then).. sometimes I can't help but just stare at her photo for a few minutes while I'm in my cubicle LOL. My husband takes care of her during the day, and then he works nights and we switch. By Friday I am exhausted but the weekend is great for catching up on sleep.

He got a nap but not as long as I would like. He gets so tired he'll just rub his face red and even scratch himself. He went to bed after 6, I'll see if he sleeps all night again. Tanner used to suck on his paci but doesn't want them now. He'll hold his bibs and burb clothes and chomps on them.

hey there, at 1030 i usually wake and feed him, he doesnt usually need a changing at that time. im thinkin maybe that is why he has such a full diaper at 5am, bc i feed him at around 7ish then again at 1030, so thats alot b4 bedtime. we use size 2 diapers as well, have been for awhile, Ryerson grew outta the1's pretty fast. i try making his nightime diaper a little loose, so that he doesnt notice as much when it is wet, but no luck. i know hes just waking bc its wet, but i do not know how to prevent that, argh...

That may be my problem! I don't put him down early enough! I do the bedtime routine but not consistently at the same time everyday! I love to go hangout at my moms and I normally stay there pretty late so that's why I don't do it at the same time everyday! My mom also suggested giving him a bottle before bed but I just don't really want to do that cause he gets pretty gassy on formula and it's painful for him so that may cause a bigger problem! Thanks for the help :-)

I think those tablets I bought are pointless. Well he had one good day yesterday and slept the whole night w/ out pain reliever. Today I can't get him to take a nice nap other than 5-10 mins. How's Beckett?
