Our son, Beckett Robert, finally arrived on February 5, 2008, at 11:37 p.m., weighing in at 7 lbs 4 oz and 21 (ouch) inches long! Yaaaay!

Wow, Beckett is now five months old... and we can hardly believe it :) He's very active, starting to sit up by himself, and in 6-12 month clothes.

He's also beginning to experiment (with mommy) with solids. Cereals and fruits are a big hit, but the jury's still out on vegetables like peas.

I did grow up here and have lived here for most of my life except university for 3 yrs. Vandervalk doesn't sound familiar to me. I am going to try just letting him sleep tonight. He woke up 2x last night and at 5:45 for the day :( He had been sleeping through for quite a while :(

You are talking about the picture with the septic pipes and backhoe in the background! LOL We just built a house, and there are still a number of things to attend to. We were "planning' on getting the house all done and enjoying it for awhile before having kids, but apparently there was a better plan for us! I know exactly where you are located. We are located an hr west of the NY city and a little over an hour and a half from Philly. We don't get in to either one often, but that is something I would like to work on. Do you and your husband want another child? You looked great pregnant! Unlike me who turned into a blimp. I actually threw out all of the pictures from mybaby shower because I was appalled at how I looked. Now that I have just about lost all of the weight I wish I would have kept them. I am sure i could ask some friends for them.

I see you are from MA. I went to school up in Beverly, MA- and I have a sister who lives in Duxbury. It's so nice being located just outside of the city. Do you get into the city often or only on occassion?

Today at lunch I decided to try rice cereal with Ryland. I mixed some cereal with an ounce of formula- I didn't really measure the cereal just added enough until I thought it was a good consistency. I wouldn't say it was soupy, but more on the pastey side. He ate it all up and hardly spit any out!

I was wondering what foods you started Beckett on and how much, how many times per day. I am totally clueless and don't go to the Dr til July 1st. I was thinking I might just try introducing him to some rice cereal for now????
