Our son, Beckett Robert, finally arrived on February 5, 2008, at 11:37 p.m., weighing in at 7 lbs 4 oz and 21 (ouch) inches long! Yaaaay!

Wow, Beckett is now five months old... and we can hardly believe it :) He's very active, starting to sit up by himself, and in 6-12 month clothes.

He's also beginning to experiment (with mommy) with solids. Cereals and fruits are a big hit, but the jury's still out on vegetables like peas.

Not so sure about the love part! lol! I really don't like it, it takes for ever and it makes my boobies hurt! Its so much better when its my little man eating instead of some electric thing sucking out my milk! lol! But i gotta do it. :)

Yeah, they got it cleaned up a few minutes before I needed to use it. It did reek of cleaners though! I guess it was probably cleaner than it had been in awhile if you think about it. The water was pouring down so bad through our ceiling that it was like a waterfall inside!

Isn't it just great? I had tears in my eyes when you described him rolling on his side and playing with you. We are doing that too and he also tries to suck on my cheek when he's hungry... :) I just can't describe the feeling. Very adorable. The cereal is going over fantastic. I mixed apple sauce with it for a couple of days and now pears. He's a little piggy piggy. :)

that was such a great moment to have with your little one! I always feel like the milk lady because Byron lights up for daddy. Of course he smiles and coos at me too but usually I feel like he just thinks I am always around so not that special. I am not jealous though... it's heart warming to see him interact with my husband

How is the work thing going for you? I sometimes miss my old life. Being home is great but I need some structure in my life right now. I miss getting ready to go somewhere.... I went to a bridal shower for a few hours Sat. and it was nice to wear a dress and some heels. I felt like a girl again and not so damn frumpy all the time. I came home and flirted with hubby and he was happy to see me happy and flirty. I got out of the shower early and stopped in the nail place to have my eyebrows waxed on a whim. I always feel better after I get them done, so I thought what the heck, Bobs watching the baby, what's another 15 minutes? He is changing so much daily now that I can't believe it. Mr. personality! :) We are thinking about doing it again.... lol until Bobby has a meltdown and then I think "Do I really want to sign up for another little bundle of joy"? Still not sure of what to do. We will let nature take it's cpurse I guess.

thanks. i have tried giving him a pacifier with no luck. he used to take it, but then once he figured out that it makes him go to sleep :) he quit taking it. then i started putting this "colic calm" stuff i got on the end of the paci and he took it, but once again, after a few times he started spitting it out. oh well. i'm sure ONE DAY it will have to get better :) if beckett is a bad napper, is he cranky or is he happy most of the time?? we were looking through our family history for names that sounded good and we found mack. i like it, but when i say it people always say "matt?"

Hi, he wont have a bottle unfortunatly, we have beeen trying for 2 months..many different types..he used to at least let us put a bottle in his mouth..now he screams the second someoen walks in the room with it....ive left the house and husband tried to feed him and no luck....im taking a further 3 months of work now because of this also.

Thanks so much for your message... I'll have to give those tips a try... I'm really glad to hear she'll wake up on her own in a few wks, b/c I'm going a bit insane at this point! She lost 1O% of her body weight in the hosp so it's imperative she feed every 3 hrs, and I'm practically in tears when she won't wake up to eat. It's getting really frustrating. I won't give up though... I just can't wait until I see some "improvement!" Take care...
