29thJuly2008

Kadey's 5 months now and I can't believe how quick these months have gone in. She's such a happy and content baby, smiling and laughing all the time. She's sitting up on her own, rolling about and trying to crawl already. Parenthood is amazing she brings so much joy to our life. Happy days!!!!!!

14th March 2008

Well our little angel arrived 24.02.08 at 0555hrs, I say little but she weighed a staggering 11lbs 22". We've called her Kadey and she's absolutely adorable and so content and alert for her age. She's also been sleeping all night since we got out of hospital. I'm loving being a mum.

I was 12 days over my due date when I was induced. A few complications arose during labour, my cervix wouldn't dilate anymore than7cms,she turned back to back and done the toilet inside me which caused her lot of distress! I had to end up having an emergency ceserean section. The both of us have recovered well though and I would do it all again tomorrow for her. While I was in theatre Jason made the mistake of looking over the curtain....BIG MISTAKE!! He said there were three surgeons pulling and tugging on my stomach, really graphic. I'm surprised he didn't pass out. lol. Well I hope everyone is enjoying their new addition to their family. Wishing everyone all the best for the future. Everyday is going to be an adventure!!!!

Hi all you mums to be!! This site is amazing. I've been checking it out since week 4 of my pregnancy. I'm about 13 weeks now and went for my scan the other day. Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!! My little angel was turning somersaults and the images were so clear. What an amazing feeling knowing I've got a little life growing inside me. My partner Jason and I are over the moon. We've been living together for 2 years now and he's my soulmate and best friend.AHHHh!! We're slightly nervous about this pregnancy because we lost a baby in March. I was 11 weeks when it went wrong. I must say though, what a relief getting past 12 weeks and seeing all is well.

Our wee angel!! Check out the hand. Think he/she's sucking thumb!!

The proud mum&dad to be!

7TH AUGUST 2007

Woke up yesterday feeling great but believe me it didn't last long. Within the hour I was throwing up big style. Doctor reckons it should pass by week 14, FINGERS CROSSED!! At least I know all's still well.

We want a surprise when our wee bundle of joy arrives but it's going to be difficult getting prepared. Bought little white socks and vests the other day, they're so cute and tiny. I'll buy mostly white and cream until baby's here. We've decided to do the nursery with an under the sea theme so it'll be suitable for boy or girl. Hopefully it'll look something like pic below!

10TH AUGUST 2007

Miraculously, I've been feeling better today. I've been getting sore heads but don't feel as sick. Turning time I hope. I'll be able to eat healthier at last. I watched a dvd last night about what babies can hear when they are in the womb. It's unbelievable! We've been talking to my tummy all the time anyway but when Jason's nightshift I'll be reading my books out loud so my little one doesn't wonder why it's all gone so quiet. Does that sound weird? lol!!

19TH AUGUST 2007

I'm loving being pregnant. Even though I don't feel 100% I'm still enjoying it to the max. I've been eating quite healthy again and starting to exercise a bit more. Now that the sickness is easing I'll get back to work soon hopefully. My mum and I have been out walking every morning. We've been going to Lochore Meadows, which is only a few miles from my house. It's a lovely country walk which will be ideal for when baby's here too. My legs were sore the last couple of days but I'm sticking with it, I'm fed up sitting around. I'll get back to my swimming soon too. Schools go back on Tuesday so I'll be able to swim in peace without the fear of some kid jumping on my head lol. Hope everyone is enjoying this experience as much as myself. We've got the hospital on Tuesday for my double test. I'm terrified of getting blood taken, who knows what I'll be like giving birth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

23rd AUGUST 2007

Well I went to the hospital to get blood tests done......OH MY GOD, NEVER AGAIN!! I don't know what the nurse done but it was agony! My arm is so badly bruised I just have to share it with everyone!! Believe me that little nurse will never be back near me with her needles . It had to happen days before my cousins wedding too. I've had many blood tests done before and there's only ever been a tiny prick mark. Anyone else been bruised this bad???????

Well that's enough moaning for today, I was just feeling sorry for myself lol. I was at the doctors today for my routine check and all is great. He says I'm measuring quite large for 15weeks which is hardly surprising because everyone is noticing my wee bump. Got to hear my little ones heart beat, beating loud and fast. My doctor's been great, reassuring me every step of the way. We're going to buy a doppler so we can listen anytime we want. Hope everyone is keeping well like myself.

3 January 2008

It's been such a long time since I updated. I'm feeling amazing considering I'm in the final stages. I'm struggling to get comfortable in bed but can't really complain. Never in a million years did I think I'd feel this great. My wee bundle's constantly moving around. Nothing will ever beat the feeling. I'm really excitied about junior coming into this world and so curious to see if it's a boy or girl. Glad I never found out. I've added a little pic of my big bump. That's my wee sister Paula with me, she's hoping for a little girl so she can dress her up in pink fairy dresses.lol!

23 January 08

Well that's me totally organised for the birth of my little one. Finished the nursery the other day, I'm extremely pleased with it. Can't stop going into it and imagining junior in it. I've posted a few pics below! My hospital bag's been packed for weeks now so I'm just relaxing now and patiently waiting on the labour beginning. Feeling good but kicks in the ribs are getting stronger, I'm sure junior's trying to kick it's way out of there lol.

27th January 2008

We babysat for Jake(my friends wee boy)the other week while they moved into their new house. He was a little gem, I just hope my wee ones as content as him. He's been through so much in the first few months of his life. He was born with hole in his diaphram and all his major organs were in the wrong place. This was all picked up during Carlas 19week scan so the hospital was well prepared for his birth. He got out hospital a few weeks ago and everyone is amazed by his progress. He's 16wks now but hasn't put on much weight since birth, hence his feeding tube. One of his lungs won't develop properly for a few months so he's unable to take his required amount of milk orally. He's so strong, alert and gorgeous, here's my most recent picture. Sooooooooooooo cute!!

18th February 2008

Well still no signs of junior making an appearance!!!!!!!! I was at the doctors last week but nothing had changed from previous week. Baby's lying head down but not yet engaged or that. Some days I'm so fed up I could scream, it's soooo frustrating. He or she is getting so strong, kicks were really painful for the first time yesterday. I was so hoping to go into labour on my own so I can stay in the house as long as I can handle. I've got the hospital on Thursday 21st and they'll let me know exactly when I'll be induced. I've been checking out everyones pages and looking at all the photos of the gorgeous wee bundles, hopefully I'll be showing mines off real soon.

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Mya has a super soft pastel cow that's got crinkle stuff inside as well as rattles in it's hooves and a squeaker in it's belly. It's super cute!

shellbz - Friday, 29 August
OMG, Mya has the same Winky lamb stuffy/rattle. Too cute! Kadey looks so content and happy in this pic. I love the giant stuffy she's leaning against. What is it?

shellbz - Friday, 29 August
Woohoo!!! Kadey's mobile! That is great news, what an accomplishment. You must be so proud of her little curiousness. Mya's into everything, she follows me and the dogs everywhere. She's now not just standing, but cruising along, you know where she holds onto the couch or coffe table and walks. I think I'm in BIG trouble. She seems hell bent on walking for some odd reason. Her two bottom teeth have finally broke the gum and are about half way up now. She's been a tad bit miserable. Nothing seems to work but Ibuprofen and frozen teethers. Orajel and Tylenol were a joke!! Is Kadey getting any teeth yet?

jesslf - Friday, 29 August
Way to go Kadey!! Tanner is slowly getting there, he can do it but he doesn't know he can. Last week he was going after grass! LOL Now he gets up on all fours and creps backwards! He loved the fireworks, his sisters was a different story, one hide and the other one plugged her ears the whole time. Next year will be a different story! Wait til she follows you around the house!

shellbz - Sunday, 24 August
Enjoy this time. Once Kadey starts crawling, you'll be on you toes all the time. Mya wants to know what everything is now. My goodness, I feel sorry for my Boxers. She's crawling all over them, pulling on them, pinching their toes in wonderment. By the end of the day i'm exhausted! Kadey looks so cute by the way in the pic of her on the floor. She's going to be mobile soon too! You'll have to keep me updated on her mile stones.

jesslf - Wednesday, 13 August
We're going to have 1 more. Not sure when, I'm leaving it up to Nick. I guess time will tell!

shellbz - Wednesday, 13 August
No, I have no intention of getting pregnant any time soon. We will be trying probably next year sometime. I would like to have about 2 years between them. How about you, do you plan on any brothers or sisters for little Kadey? Sometimes I really miss being pregnant. Once the morning sickness passed it was so amazing! Do you ever miss it? Or maybe I'm just crazy...LOL That's really great that you live so close to your relatives.

shellbz - Tuesday, 12 August
I LOVE this picture. She's too cute. Her and Mya could go swimming together! Demanding little girls! LOL

jesslf - Tuesday, 12 August
What a cute outfit! Wow she can even sit up by herself!

jesslf - Tuesday, 12 August
Hey!! How are you? Long time no talk! LOL He doesn't really like to pose for pictures! LOL Oh my what alittle cutie Kadey is! Almost 17 lbs too! Yeah Tanner's alittle string bean! LOL His pants/shorts fall since he's lacking a butt! Ha Ha. But he's really tall. So what have you been up to? Great to hear from you!!

shellbz - Tuesday, 5 August
There are no babies in my family and my husband has family on the east coast who also have a baby, but that's a long trip. They live in Massachusetts around the Cape Cod area. So needless to say we don't see them. One of my friends has a little boy who's 13 months older than Mya, she lives in Texas though. She was up here visiting and her little boy just adored Mya. It was way too cute! He was giving her kisses and trying to share his toys with her, but he's typical boy of course and almost hit her in the head a few times with a book he wanted to show her. She was quite well behaved considering the chaos. I'm sure if Mya had to share me with another baby, she would probably be unhappy since she seems to always want to be with me. Which is wonderful, but a bit difficult at times when I need to get stuff done. I swear it seems as if once I had a kid, I let my house go to crap! I just don't seem to have the time any more. Would be nice if I could have a maid. LOL Priorities change. Mya has been trying to stand up now since yesterday. She's so funny. She gets her butt and legs standing up but can't figure how to get the top half of herself up. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before she figures out how to use the furniture to achieve her goal. She is also still trying to crawl, gets on her knees and does the rocking motion. Too cute! How about Kadey? Sounds really nice, the trip to Spain. Your family is also going at the same time? That's an acomplishment to get everyone together like that I'm sure. Do you live close to your family?

shellbz - Saturday, 2 August
Oh, forgot to ask. How did you wean Kadey? I'm thinking of starting to wean Mya in the next few weeks, but I'm not sure how to do it most effectively. Any advice would be appreciated!

shellbz - Saturday, 2 August
Thanks! Mya loved the pool, especially her little floaty, she kept gnawing on the handle. LOL I have already ordered her another bikini for next year, it was too cute to pass up! Where did you take Kadey swimming? When are you going to Spain? That must be so nice, to be able to go there. I had no idea it was that close to Scotland. Me and my hubby took Mya to the Detroit Zoo a few days ago. It was nice, but she's too little yet to really appreciate it. It was just nice to actually do something as a family. Oh, Mya has officially mastered sitting up all on her own. It's funny because now when I go into her room to get her, she's just sitting up in her crib. It's wonderful, but it also makes me sad. Our little ones are growing too quickly.

shellbz - Wednesday, 30 July
All's good, I'm still breast feeding, Mya's doing wonderfully, she's getting her pictures taken Thursday, I can't wait! We are contemplating having another one probably sometime next year we'll try. I love being a mom. It's stressful at times, but I wouldn't change it for anything in the world!

shellbz - Wednesday, 30 July
Kadey looks super cute! I love the high chair by the way, it's much nicer than one's I've seen. It looks like some one likes their paci. Lucky you! Mya won't touch hers, she only sucked on it a few times and that was it.

shellbz - Monday, 28 July
Well, I have not seen you on here in a while. I hope everything is going good with little Kadey. Mya is now trying to crawl, it's crazy, they grow up so fast! You'll have to let me know what's been going on now that you're a mommy.

jesslf - Friday, 13 June
Automatic update: jesslf added a new blog: Tanner\'s 4 month

jesslf - Thursday, 20 Mar
I don't think I would do so well if I had to have a C-sec. The thought of the whole procedure makes me cringe even though I know that they block it w/ a sheet, you know what I mean, how did you handle it? Or at the time it didn't bother you? So how about her clothes, were threr outfits she had that she couldn't fit into cause she was too big for them?
