On tuesday Jan 15/08 I went to my weekly doctors appt, and my blood pressure was high, so they sent me to the hospital to be monitored. I went out for lunch for vietnamese because I figured that it might be along day, I was right! At the hospital they were unable to get my blood pressure to go down by much so they decided that they would induce me using cervadil. The cervadil was put in at 4 I was already dialated to 1 c.m. when I went in, they had to keep me at the hospital to monitor me because of my high blood pressure. 24 hours later when they took the cervadil out i was only dialated to 2 c.m., so they decided that they would break my waters.

I was moved into labour and delivery and they broke my water, I couldnt belive how much there was! without the water my contractions got stonger and harder I had laughing gas which helped alot, so i wasnt in to much pain. when i was checked a bit later i was only at 3 c.m. so they put me on pitocin (sp) which I had 3 really bad contractions with that so they came and gave me an epidural, which they had problems putting it in at first and i felt blood going down my back... was not impressed, that was at 3:30 a.m. I went to sleep at 6:30 they woke me up to check me and i was fully dialated!!!! but i had no desire to push.

At about 7:15 I had felt some pressure and started to push. Lukas Michael Kingston was born at 8:28 a.m. on January 17/08, it was a good experince and am loving being a mother!!!!
