I have a friend who was dilated for 4 weeks before she gave birth. but i know what you mean.. i've been having more contractions and my body has never felt worse than it does right now right now. i've always had so much energy up until this weekend, now im always in pain and can't wait for her to come out! i see my doctor tomorrow.. hope he checks to see if i'm dilated because i don't even know at this point but it does feel a LOT different down there!

I have been dilated to 2 cm for 2 weeks now. As of last Wednesday, I was 80% effaced. I have been having contractions all weekend, but still no labor! It all depends on your body. You could walk around being 1 or 2 (or more) cm dilated for weeks before you actually go into labor. Just make sure you watch those contractions, and if they get regular..start timing them! Good luck!

thank you for your response about kick counts when she moves she really moves way more then 10 in an hour so as long as i feel her move during the day i wont be too worried but ill def know if she isnt moving then ill call

i know what your feeling. I have been cramping since this afternoon and it seems to come off and on every 10 to 15 minutes now. My first child i didnt have any contractions until the day of my due date and this one is totally opposite. Im only 36 1/2 weeks along.

I saw your comment on the week-by-week comments. I am 37 weeks and went into pre-term labor at 35 weeks, they stopped my labor after my bloody show and after I lost my mucus plug. I have been dilated to 2 and 50% effaced since then...it really just depends on your body and your baby to when you have your baby...it could be around the corner or it could drag on.

Thank you! I just feel that they must not be trained properly to know that, that is actually normal. The way they handled it was unprofessional. I have an appointment with a new daycare today.
