Sorry last was so long, by the way, if your husband doesn't atleast acknowledge how you feel there can be tension, just be honest with him first about how she makes you feel. My husband and I still work on it but I have since told him, he has to atleast see my side of things or he will forever be taking his mom's side. He says Patty, I chose you not my mom, but she is my mom. I don't even want to come between him and his mom and I don't want him to ever feel that way. For awhile it is hard to make him understand how you feel without seeming like you just hate the MIL. P.S. LOL my daughter Caitlin, looks just like my MIL...GRRRRRR!!! On another note my husbands grandma(his dads mom) is a joy to have in our life and she had the perfect relationship with her es DIL (my MIL) until she saw how little she has to do with our kids. So now I have a different member of family to confide in that understands and listens. She is 75 and our baby will most liekly be scheduled for c-section on me-maw's b-day. She is making a trip to see baby and help me for 1 wk, at 76 yrs old. I lost my grandparents and I married a man that has a wonderful grandmother. Even though hismom is a butt. Write me anytime...LOL I could go on and on about my MIL!!!

Hi, I just read your post about your MIL...I am 25 my husband is 23, we have been together since I was 16, she had even told him then he couldn't see me at all, She said if we kept going they way we were i would be the mother of her grandkids and that was not acceptable...GUESS WHAT??? I AM the mother of her grandchild and another is on the way. My husband knows how I feel about her and vice-versa...on the other hand i would love for my girls to know her as their grandmother, but she never comes around and if she sees Caitlin it is because I suggest it. She only had 2 sons and my husband is the only one going to have kids so far we have a daughter and a daughter on the way...it hurts my husband to see how our little girl reacts to my mom compared to his. I have been quick to tell my husband HE is the ONE to LET HIS mom know when I feel like she is bossing or putting in to much advice. It is your husbands place to talk to his mom and if nothing else let her know why you feel this way so you can have a relatinoship other wise you will always feel like her first comments outweigh the new ones. My MIL acknowledges nothing she does wrong...that being said I get cards that say stuff like, I know we haven't gotten along but you are a great wife to my son, and a great mother blah blah blah, but I can't get over the fact she thanks me for bringing our daughter to even see her. Why thank me, like I am keeping her from her, I'm not nor do I reccomend it, but I know how she should treat my children and if and when I think she says anything negative about me or their daddy it will stop!!!

Happy Valentines Day we have so much in common. I am on iron also along with lots of other things for swelling and pain. But my mom has been alot of help here to when my husband has to go to work and school and things od that sort because she works nearby and I have been down with the surgery and stuff. But all in all everything is going well.. I love my baby!!

I wanted to be here on the site but I was inthe hospital I ended up having a c section because my baby wouldnt move into the birthcanal and her heart rate was dropping everytime I had a contraction once they got her out it turned out to be because her cord was wrapped around her neck 3 times so if I would have had a vaginal birth she may not have made it..But she was 7lbs and 10 ounces 20and a half inches long.. My big girl...;)

Yes thank the lord my baby came on the 6th but she was induced and it was turned into an emergency c section and I just got home actually yeaterday but I was all worth it and my baby girl is finally here..

Hope you and Lily are well. Didn't get induced today, they told me they were too busy. Have been told to phone them in the morning to see if they can fit me in then, but they said there are no guarentees! Great! No idea when they will see me!!

Oh no! Thats rubbish! Especially since you gear yourself up to go in and be induced and then to be turned away is a pain! I hope that you get to go back in soon so that you can have your baby. Fingers crossed it all goes well for you.

Thats really good news that they are happy for you to go home then go back! (although would be even better if you went home and went into labour so that you don't have to go back!!!!). I know, its a shame that we haven't gone into labour naturally, but there is still time! (who am i kidding?!). I hope that the induction goes well for you and that you safely deliver your baby girl and that she is happy and healthy! Good luck, will be thinking of you, and look forward to seeing pics of Lily and sharing birth stories! Take care.

Yeah, that is what I thought I would do, go in early so that hopefully labour the same day. That would make more sense, surely?! The midwife told me that most likely I will be in Friday evening and won't labour until Saturday. I'm hoping that I won't have to stay in too long. Like you, I'm hoping that I dont have to have a c. section! Let me know what the hospital say about you going in. Take care

Thanks for that - will start sorting out my bag tomorrow now! I'm glad it's not just me that thought that was a funny time to start me off. I thought I would be going in in the morning, not at 3pm!! Are they letting you go in early Thursday morning or do they still want you to go in on Wednesday? Its stupid, I've been told that I have to phone up an hour before I'm due to go in to make sure that they have room for me. If they haven't then I can't go in!! I won't be at all happy if that happens!! Theres still time for us to go naturally though, fingers crossed!

Hey, midwife tried another sweep but still couldn't do it, although she said the cervix had started to soften a bit. Am now booked in for an induction on Friday at 3pm. Rubbish time as it means it gives me the whole day to worry! Am really hoping that it comes on its own before then. I suppose I best pack a bag and sort out what I need to take in with me! What are you taking? I haven't even thought about it seems as I was planning a home birth!!!

Will let you know what happens when I see the midwife. What time do you have to go in for induction on the 7th? I'm suprised that you haven't been checked again before you go in for that to give a sweep another go to give you chance to go into labour naturally on your own!

Thats a real shame about your brother not getting to spend the time with her like he thought he would be able to! Still nothing my end. No twinges, no cramps, nothing! My mum measured my blood pressure today and it was up (147/90) for the first time. Seeing the midwife again on Tuesday, shes going to see if she can do a sweep this time, but if my blood pressure is up again she probably wont give me much choice about induction. She said she would talk about that this time, so should know more after that. Surely these babies can't keep us waiting much longer! Hope we both have some good news soon!!!

I am exactly the same as you!! Maybe today....then you go to bed and its like, ok..tomorrow...no....! I'm glad I'm not alone, but hope we both have our babies soon!! Oh well, either way, I guess at least we will have our babies by next weekend! Take care, it can't be much longer now!!!
