WOW!! Good luck! I know what you mean I am soooo nervous! I go on Sunday AM for my induction. Best wishes for a quick & safe delivery. I will be waiting to see your lil princess!

sasmith2546 - Wednesday, 16 April
Thanks. This stuff if so confusing to me! The medicine always seems to take about 2-3 hrs to kick in, and when it does I drop below 70! I'm taking 2.5mg at breakfast and lunch. (sorry if i'm repeating myself)
This morning, my bs was 119 before breakfast! I'm gonna have a nervous breakdown worrying about this stuff! Thank goodness I go back to the dr. friday.

sasmith2546 - Tuesday, 15 April
How high were your morning/fasting #'s?

sasmith2546 - Tuesday, 15 April
Thanks. I thought it was strange also. And my fasting # this morning was 112! I was so mad! Do you eat a snack before you go to bed b/c you take the medicine? Since I've been on the medicine, my bs is wacko. It has dropped below 70 atleast once a day since last friday.
I think I'll start taking it with breakfast and dinner......or lunch & dinner.

thank you for your comment. if they cannot get him out, i am absolutley willing to have the c-section. but it just seems so overwhelming. i wish you the best of luck. hopefully we both do well.
thanks again, and i will definitley let you know how it goes :)

You sound like me! My first was 8.9, second 8.5, third 9.5 & I had an ultra sound Tuesday that said my dsughter is 7.5 already. My dr doesn't induce! Soooooooooo they say if born at full term, she will weigh 9.2 or more. I am scared to death of having a c-section. I stay home alone & won't have any help during the day. I hope this lil girl comes soon! I am worried about changing girls poopy diapers. It gets EVERYWHERE! I think every time she poops I will have to give her a bath. LOL! And yes I LOVE shopping for her!

I too have 3 boys (7,5, & 1 1/2) and now a girl. I am due May 3. I read you have large babies how much did your boys weigh? I bet the boys are excited to get a sister! I know mine are.

I was in a wedding 5 days after my c-section. Just take pain meds and you will be fine, it's not that bad.

Mirandab311 - Tuesday, 25 Mar
Hi! I had an emergency (crash) C-section with my first...almost 3 years ago now. The first week of recovery was really hard. I couldn't get up or down by myself unless I rolled on my side first. And walking was very difficult as well. Not to mention how painful it was to laugh or cough, poop, etc....pretty much anything involving the abdominal muscles! The hardest part was the pain in my joints because I had general anesthesia and it was lodged in all my joints, so maybe this won't be an issue with a spinal. Anyway, I would say that things got much better about 10 days and I was getting around pretty well on my own by 3 weeks. (Although I was not released to drive for 4 weeks) So, personally, I can't imagine doing anything that requires walking or standing after just 1 week, but with some good pain meds you just might make it through! :) Good luck!
