my husband and i have been TTC since our daughter was born, without any luck. we had just given up, and gave away the very last of out baby things, when my husband suggested we try one last time.
well much to my suprise it worked, and we are now expecting our second child in July!! i guess that gives me a great excuse to go shopping :)

one more week until my ultra sound!!!! i am soo excited!! my husband is coming (of course) and we are bringing our 5 year old daughter too. she is so excited to have a new baby, she has been asking for one for about 2 years now. . i would love a girl because it would be more of a playmate for Olivia, but a boy would be nice because it would be different-pity i don't find out the sex for another 8 weeks!! i am just so pleased to be a mother again!!

we just came home from my first ultrasound!! i was so nervous going in, well as soon as the doc put the thingy on my tummy, i saw our beautiful baby!! i nearly cried at the sight of our little jumping bean, it was soo cute, my husband had a time of it trying to explain all the 'bits' to our five year old!! but i feel sooo much better now, its little heart is beating at 158 beats p/m, it has two arms and two legs, it has great blood flow, and normal nuchal folds. YAY!!

i have been under a lot of stress at work lately, and had been having some pain and cramping, so this morning i went to see my doctor. she examined me, at first she didnt want to listen with the doppler, because she said, often at 14 weeks, you cant always hear the heartbeat, and she didnt want me to worry too much. i asked if she could anyway, and i was releaved to hear straight away my little bumps heartbeat, going strong and steady at 153 b.p.m!! i feel soo much better. now i just have to wait another month or so to see the gender. i think it will be a boy, my husband and daughter think girl, really though a healthy baby is all thats important to me.

i went to the hospital today to give my complete medical history, and have my first check there. i have been seeing my regular gp, and im going to have shared care between the hospital and gp. i heard the babys heartbeat there, and it had gone down a little to 140. im glad i chose to see my regular doctor, because i started seeing her when i was pregnant with my daughter, so i know her really well feel totaly comfortable. my maternity hospital offers three modes of care, a midwife program, where you get a team of three midwives through the pregnancy, and one of the three will be at the labor, or the third mode is where i go to the hospital for every appointment, and see the doctor on duty there. i really didnt want to do that, who wants to wait around a hospital for hours every couple of weeks? i am happy with what ive chosen, even though my doctor wont be the one to deliver the baby, from what i remember of last time, i really didnt care who was there, i just wanted to get it over with and meet my daughter

i have been having these weird feelings in my arms and legs during the night, they have been getting pins and needles and going numb. i was very worried, as i have also been feeling sick and faint a lot too. i have momentary hearing loss, where i can only hear a 'shhhhh' sound and lose my sense of where i am in space. i went to my doctor, who told me i have very low blood pressure, which is causing all of these symptoms. i was very happy to hear this, even more so when she said it was probably due to the babys rapid growth at this stage, and my placenta needing more blood than i had to give. she says this will go in time. i will be sooo happy when i feel normal again. i am feeling some movement, i really hope its the baby, its like a rolling, swooshing feeling with some pokes, rather than the bubbles i felt with my last pregnancy.

8th march 2008
we had out 20 week ultrasound on wedensday and..............ITS A BOY!!! and WHAT a boy! everything looks good (no spina bifida, which we were worried about as my brother suffers from it) except in his left ventrical in his brain, he has the upper limit of whats normal fluid buildup. it is still in the normal range, 10 mm, though that is the cut off for normal, so we have to go back in 4 weeks to have another scan to see how he's doing. the doctor told us if we wanted (he didnt recomend though) we could have amnio, but as we want this baby, we wouldnt care what the results are, and seeing as everything is still technicly 'normal' we dont want to run the risk of having amnio. so we are praying he is healthy and we will see more in another few weeks.

2nd March 2008

we went for the follow up appointment yesterday, we were both so nervous, but as it turned out, there was no need to be! the left nuchal fold is down to 9mm, so the doctor was very happy with the results. he took us into his office to explain exactly what was going on, he told us that it is very common to have a transient enlarging of the ventricals, and that it means the baby is fine. the horrible thing is though, that because of the ultrasound technoligy getting better, the doctors didnt see until recently these types of things, so when they started seeing them, a lot of people would abort perfectly healthy babys because of it.
well im glad to have seen my little bub again, and knowing he is healthy is just wonderful! no new piccys though, he was facing toward my spine with the cord in front of his face.

13th may 2008
i have had my latest lot of blood tests done, and although my glucose screen was fine, the found out i have anemia, so that explains why i have been so tired! my hubby kept saying to me 'arnt you meant to have a big energy boost during the middle of the pregnancy' so this explains a lot! at least now i know what to do about it. i will have further tests in a few weeks to see if my levels are normal, if not, i have to have injections up to the birth and maybe a blood transfusion after the birth. i am REALLY hoping it doesnt come to that though!
otherwise, my little bump has turned into a big bump, and my bub is super active, and very, very strong! i am on the final countdown now, i cant wait to meet my little guy!!!

thanks so much for answering the poll i now see you had one very similar to it..
It weird hu.. i wonder how our body tells us this. Although im still so confused. Im going on birth control this month for the first time and i know im not pregnant right now. So what did my dream mean..
As for naming dominick i had a similar experience.. My mom wasnt too sure on the name but i loved it and had been calling him that for 3 months. At the last minute she was trying to change the name and give us other ideas. She said she really didnt like it too much .. but it was a name i choose when i was 15.. i loved it.. For a breif moment she had me second guessing it.. But today i couldnt see any other name that would have been better for him.
I like your daughters name and if ppl want to choose so badly they need to have thier own children! lol

the reason my husband wants me to switch to formula is because since im feeding her, she isnt attached to him like she is me..... and for some reason he hates the fact that we have to buy nursing pads... but i told him that we would be buying expensive formula for like 20 something compared to 7 $ a week for nursing pads..... its a little confusing.

I totaly know what you mean.. so you have any siblings.. if so whats the age gap..
My brother and i are 9 years apart and i was also so excited about having a sibling to play with.. i was so bored all the time and i saw my friends with siblings.. But to be truthful when he came i was hating it.. i tried to loose him in someones yard at one point! i kno i know how horrible! But i just couldnt take spending my time with a baby and sharing my mommy.. the worst part though was it wasnt like i thought it was going to be.. i didnt know how much work went into taking care of a new born and i honestly thought when he came out i would be able to play with him like another one of my friends.. but when he couldnt do anything i hated it.. I was like what was he put he for.. just to take my time away from my mom..
This was just my out look on it when he came i dont mean to scare you or anything.. just make sure she is very prepared and knows how much work babys are.. i think thats what threw me off the most.. it was nothing like i expected.. now because kyle and i ( my brother ) are so far apart we dont get along.. im a protective sister but the two of us are like cats and dogs!

Its so neat to think shes copying mommy! i love it.. she must love helping out so much.. she will learn more as she countinues and will only get better, and that mean some serious help for you! Mostly when the baby comes.. she can take thoes dirty diapers out!
Her hair has to be the whitest i have ever sceen.. I love it.. its so different and nothing like the other blondes.. she will stand out for sure! i wish i had something different like that..

Thanks! Lyana means God has answered in the Hebrew name meaning. She is our answer from God. I love your little ones name! I hope everyone will be surprised when you have him. If this was going to be a boy we were going to name him Gabriel. Anyways, my bp is still a bit high but not to bad (150/90). They haven't put me on bed rest or anything which I am so happy about. Thank you for your prayers! I'll keep you posted!

You know what i havent ever been there,, ive seen videos and have been givin so much heck for not going there. Alot of our taxi drivers are punjabi and when i get into their cab they recognize my name. however they are always so confused because i dont look punjabi.. then they go on to ask if i know how to speak it ( and i dont ) or if i have ever been to kashmir. And when i say no they looked so shocked. They tell me its the most beautiful place in India. i would love to visit the place that gave me my name someday I hope soon!

has there been anymore talk on the wonderful name of Jacob. Did you tell your husband what i said or do you think it was more for your reasurance.

Hahah LOL kashmir is a place in India, This is e my dad is from and where my mother dad is from. Im half Punjabi and Kashmir is supose to be one of the most beatutiful place in India. = p

Yah i say dont worrie about it too much, its a great name and if you guys like it thats all that matters! He will probley only be asked a handful of times in his life and im sure hell just laugh it off when he tells them what it means!

umm as for the name i like Jacob, and i like that you and your husband are able to agree on it together. The name is the first gift a child will ever recieve from his/her parents.

As far as the meaning goes, there are plent of jacobs out there! Remeber how many times in your life are you asked what your name means... I bet it wasnt many! when he introduces himself he wont be doing it with the definition right.. so i dont think its that big of a deal.. i have known a couple of jacobs in my life time and never have i asked or have i wonderd what there name ment. i think because it is such a common name and has been for a long time.. no one is too curious about the meaning behind it. If the name were very unique or something like mine (kashmir) you would have alot of people ask what it means and where it comes from. I get it all the time believe me.. And no its not the fabric lol.

Dont worry i dont think it matters The name sounds right to me! I like it to be truthful..

So they prediction was wrong hey! You cant trust thoes things, there all just in good fun! When i look back at the prediction charts for dominick they say im having a girl.. yet hes very much a boy!
Well let me know and i cant wait to see pics! Hope that busy life calms down just a bit so mommy has time to stop and watch those flowers grow! lol =)

Thats so exciting i use to love going for ultrasounds. Will you find out the sex.. it says your predicted to have a girl i wonder if its true.. whats you feeling telling you.

Ill keep my fingers crossed for you as well but i think you said it best.. im sure everything will be fine.. Im happy to know your other tests have come back fine! Your more then half way there after this ultrasound have fun with it and let go of all worries! Go shopping! lol

Hey thanks for praying for me. It's working!! My blood pressure is staying around 138/70. Every now in then it gets high like 178/90 but I know it is then I have to lay down and rest. I hope all is well with you!! I am already getting tons of little girl stuff! Are you getting things for your little boy yet?

Hey I just got back home. Well no BLUE dust for me but, plenty of PINK. I am having another little girl. Elyn is so happy. She loved seeing her sister on the screen and the 4d ultrasound was amazing. WE have 10 pictures of her. She was sleeping most of the time and it wasn't easy it get her full face but the tech was really good and was able to move her around to get lots of pictures of her pretty little face. She has the cutest nose! Anyways, I've boasted enough. I hope everything is good with you. Keep me posted! I have an update: my blood pressure is starting to get better, it went from 178/90 to 138/70. So just keep praying for me! Take care!!

Hi! I hope all is good with you. I have my 4d ultrasound in a few hours and can't wait!!! I have 6 people who want to be there. My husband, daughter, mom, dad, sister, and grandmother. I already called to warn them. I just have a big and close family who loves me and this little one. I hope for BLUE dust. I have a feeling it is a boy and my hubby really wants us to have one. I will be happy for a girl to. Anyways, I will let you know what it is as soon as I can get to a computer. I also have to call about 4 people as soon as I find out. LOL!!

yeah it might be a little wierd too, there was a name we LOVED but his friend was that too, so we decided not too... well Ethans full anme is Ethan George Benton Mcspadden
yes I know ...LONG! but
the 2 middle names were after both great grandfathers. Benton was actually a name we picked for his first name, but we like Ethan a little better.

I d ont know what it is about boy names....girls names are soooo easy to pick. I have no clue why boys are so hard! we couldnt decide either on Ethans name. He was goin gto be Greyson...then hubby hnaged his mind about a month before he was born....so we kinda had to pick Ethan cause that was THE only name we could agree on, although we didnt LOVE the name...lol...but now I look at him and I think he couldnt even look like anything else besides an Ethan! lol

FOR SURE! Do you ahve siblings? I have a sister and we took baths all the time together, we had a blast! Thats the way I see it too...its complelty harmless...and they keep each other happy in there too... the baby loves to watch his sister be silly in the bath.
