23.8 hours ago Hi KAtie..I just read your post about breastfeeding and wanted to tell you that you shouldn't let anyone make you feel bad about the decisions you make as a mother and that people from work, family, and friends tend to think when a woman is pregnant they can give opinions and advise without regards to how you might feel..you just have to do what you feel is right and be the best mother you can be. With that being said I just wanted to encourage you to really weigh your options when it comes to what you want to about breastfeeding..I am having my third boy in Nov. and am actually a breastfeeding momma.... and personally I love it, however I have several close girlfriends and relatives who have chosen not to do so...and I think it's 100% a personal choice and it's fine to not breastfeed.. But I know lot's and lot's of mommy's that wish they hadn't ruled it out without trying it for themselves. It's one of those situations in life where you have a very small window of oppurtunity to do it and if you choose not to then obviously you have the option of giving the baby formula and that's that..... but if you change your mind and want to breastfeed a couple weeks after, theres no going back because it's really hard to have a baby go from fornula to breastfeeding. Wheras if you try it and it simply does NOT suite you then it's no big deal to start the baby on formula. I feel bad that you have no women in your family or circle of friends that could encourage you and support you in trying to brestfeed or even give you the pro's to doing so.. I noticed you are young and I'm sure your mom and sister are strong influences in your life.... It sounds like you kinda waivered on the decision whether or not to breastfeed and I hope you give it some more time. I know I'm a strager but I wanted to share with you what I find to be pro's when it comes to breastfeeding..... when you are in the hospital the nurses will actually show you and help you feed as much as you need (and they are totally used to it) i had to have the lactation nuse, which most hospitals have, help me with my first son about 4-5 times before i kinda had the hang of it by myself. And then it becomes very natural...another thing is that there's no bottle drama..in the middle of the nght you don't have to get up, make a bottle, heat it up, get the baby and then feed..you just whip out your boob and feed, burp..then back to sleep..and you don't have to worry about cleaning bottles all the time.... (there are a lot more pro's but i don't want to be overbearing so if your interested you can ask and I'd be happy to encourage you more and fill you in) The last thing that comes to mind is that you could be the first woman in your family to step out of the box and try something new... maybe you will totally love breastfeeding and don't know it...and the women in your family can wonder if you've done something they could have done but didn't have the guts to try?? Sorry if I'm sounding pushy...I just think if you try it you will never wonder "what if?".... even if you nurse for a month or two and then stop..at least you would know that you gave it a go. Anyways, I wish you all the luck in motherhood... and I really hope you don't take offense to my comment but take it as one mother to another offering support and advise that is unfiltered and meant to help. Take care, Nikki MzzDez -

Carson is a cute name! I'm glad we're not having a boy first, because we could NOT decide on a name! I liked a bunch of names, but chris hated them all! haha! loiamve -
Tuesday, 2 September lol yeah i know what you mean. i think i posted some comments to people and they took them the wrong way. but no i know what you mean about hanging out in 2 different weeks. i'm sure it's nice to have friends to write to all the time. i have one that i have been writing to for a while now, but most everyone else i just kinda lost contact with. like we don't have anything to say to each other, know what i mean? well, have a good day! loiamve -
Tuesday, 2 September oh no, it wasn't directed toward you. i was reading the comments in the "spy" thing, or whatever it's called, and i saw something, then i replied to it, and scrolled down in that same week and saw someone posted the same thing about a website selling something,... i don't remember what it was now, but i saw they posted it in 6 or 7 pages shellyn -
Tuesday, 2 September Sometimes it does get hard and tight. I get concerned because it lasts for so long, and I really dont know how you're supposed to treat Braxton Hicks, do we give in and sit them out, do we go about our business? While I'm sitting I feel fine, but when I get up, there it is all over again. Kind of feels like my bladder is really, really full, but when I go to empty my bladder, sometimes just a trickle comes out so I know it isn't that. And today I felt pressure on my pelvic bone that lasted for about 2 seconds. I just wish I knew what to think....

Sunday, 31 August OMG you're situation sounds worse than mine. I can't believe someone said you printed ultrasound pictures off the internet. Some people are such a**holes! I'm glad you were able to show her up though!! And I agree, I think showing later is good because I won't have as much to lose after the baby is born (at least that's the hope!) Thanks for the encouragement

Tuesday, 26 August I am like that, open doors for old and other pregnant people, try to help out. People have been so rude to me since being pregnanti think since i have a child already and am pregnant they assume i must live in a council house, claim every benefit and am a lesser person in society where as i am married and i STILL work full time even with a 2 yr old! I have been so tearful since. My husband is fuming, just said if he had been on the bus he would have thrown the old man off the bus literally, along with this wally trolley lol Heaven -

Monday, 25 August i read your comment about buying your friend a gift for the baby shower. i am actually going thru the same thing. my friend has everything and she should be easy to shop for but isnt! i decided to buy her something that goes along with the theme. my theme is "cupcake in the oven" so i went to tiffanys and bought her a little cupcake necklace. Now you dont have to go and spend 200 dollars on your friend but try to make it about the baby shower so she will understand if you get her something she doesnt really like...
