Hey, nothing here yet!

Sunday, 9 Mar

Hello everyone, I `m very excited right now to be in my 10th week...I have my next u/s tomorrow afternoon and I CAN `T WAIT!!!! Hubby n I got to see the little one at 6w6d and hear the heartbeat as well, and it was amazing, so this time should be even better. Am having a HORRIBLE time with m/s today, have had for the last couple of days. And I thought I was doing better this week! Guess not. Am having a hard time keeping down crackers and water. If I `m lucky, I hopefully only have another couple of weeks of m/s to deal with before I `m in my second trimester. I can `t really remember what it was like to feel good and have energy. Went to Walmart last night and had to sit down midway through because I got so dizzy and sick feeling...ugh! Anyway, must get back to work now...good luck all!

Friday, 14 Mar

Well, we had our u/s on Monday, it was very cool! I was kind of worried at first because the little bean wasn `t moving, but the tech kept jabbing at him (I `m convinced it `s a boy) and suddenly he started flailing around! Bryan was standing beside the bed and he jumped like he was scared, he didn `t know the baby would be moving like that! Somehow in all the madness I `ve managed to LOSE 5 pounds, which is really ridiculous because due to something (water retention?) I already am in maternity clothes. Can `t wear my jeans anymore! Well, I mean I CAN, but I can `t really keep them buttoned. But anyway, the doctor said everything looked good, baby `s heartrate was 158 and my blood pressure and sugar were down, so fingers crossed! Also, they moved my due date up from the 4th to the 1st!

Sunday, 23 Mar

So, here I was thinking, `12 weeks! My morning sickness is going away! Yaaaayyyyy! ` Well, no such luck. I left work this morning (I work on an overnight shift until June, and I work 12 hour shifts. Yuck!) and no sooner had got in my car but I suddenly, DESPERATELY, had to hurl. I barely got the car door open in time! I feel like I `m 7 or 8 weeks again! WHEN DOES IT END!?!?!?!?!?

Thursday July 17th

I just figured out how to update my actual page LOL I'm not very technologically savvy...anyway, to fill you in on what's happened since my last post at 12 weeks...long story short, we found out we're having a girl, YAY!!! I had my 3d u/s on Tuesday, and the little squirt refused to cooperate. She kept grabbing the umbilical cord and pulling it up in front of her face, then she'd put her hands over her face, then she'd twist around so she was facing my back...the u/s place is having me come back for a re-do in a couple weeks (for no charge!) to see if we can get some better pictures. Bryan is finally accepting the fact that we're actually going to have a BABY, even though this was a planned pregnancy. He didn't get to go to my u/s with me, but when I showed him the pics he just sat there and looked at them for what seemed like hours. Don't tell him, but it made me tear up a little : ) He still refuses to watch a video or look at a picture of a baby being born, though...he's going to be in for a rude awakening, I'm afraid! Man, I can't believe I'm already 7 1/2 months, the time has flown past. I go in tomorrow morning to take my 3 hour gest. diabetes test, since I failed the first by ONE POINT...I'm not looking forward to it. But I'll be surprised if I don't have it, since all my sisters did when they were pregnant.

Friday July 25th

Forgot to update...I passed my 3 hour gd test!!! I'm super happy about that, and a LOT surprised, considering all my sisters have had it...yay! (Yay for me, not for them) Bryan got me a pregnancy massage yesterday, and it was fantastic...of course the same old pain came back this morning, but golly it felt good to just lay there and be pampered for an hour. Found out today that Bryan told the entire sheriff's office that I had been wearing his boxer briefs because I'd gotten too big for my own undies. I'm still not calm enough to confront him about it LOL I'm afraid I may go overboard!!! That's just not something you tell everyone (and yet, here I am, posting it on the internet...a bit of hypocrisy there for ya). I've been dealing with some crazy mood swings lately, yesterday I made a pizza for lunch and had it sitting on a plate in my lap...well, my cat decided to jump in my lap and didnt' realize there was a pizza there, so of course he jumped right in the middle of my pizza, which scared him to death...and I immediately just burst into tears. Bryan was like, What in the world is WRONG with you!!! It was so ridiculous that I was laughing and crying at the same time. And today I nearly lost it in front of my co-workers because I accidentally dumped my ENTIRE LUNCH in the trashcan. Don't ask. Ugh, I'll be glad when this part is over and I'll be back to my normal crazy self again.

Lol, yeah I threaten with the boobs when I get mad. I totally understand where your coming from, my husband wont touch or look at them the same way anymore. Lol, its a complete 180 since I have been leaking since the 18th week. te he. The worst thing is I first noticed after I gave him a hug and I leaked on his shirt, he was like "whats that on my shirt?" I was a little shocked due to the fact I was only 18 weeks but I started busting up laughing when he ripped his shirt off and said ewwww that is soooooo nasty!!

I didn't think about the tylenol p.m. I will ask my doctor if I can take some. Almost every night i have insomnia. I got to bed tired but just can't seem to sleep very good. I was like that before the pregnancy so I'm not sure if its related to that. We definitely need our sleep. I remember when I carried my first two babies. They were both 9'2 and 9'7 so I remember well how difficult it was to get comfortable and then of course, my hubby wanted to get all snuggly and of course that didn't work either. lol.. I just wanted to be left alone... a

Girl, I totally understand.. Men drive me nuts too. I have a hard time sleeping at night, do you? I literally doze off but wake up, toss and turn... just drives me crazy. By the time I get to sleep, its about 4a.m. No wonder I'm so tired during the day. How's things going today for you?

brandyboo - Friday, 4 July
Hey I couldnt help but laugh at comment you made about your husband getting grossed out about the leakage, I actually squirted my hubby on accident the other day. He started freaking out talking about how gross it is, then in the shower he tried milking me with his hand... Lol, I was a bit shocked. Sorry if its tmi but I thought it was so darn funny!

AutumnBaby - Thursday, 3 July

LOL!!! OMG. that is hilarious. It is amazing what just sets you off for seemingly NO RATIONAL reason. And normally I'm not a weepy person at all, so my friends are really enjoying this. Well its something we can tell our little ones later on. I hope you are feeling well.

Another lady on here advised me to eat bananas and milk for leg cramps, so I'm trying that too! Hope you're having a good day. It's getting hard for me to get comfortable already, and still what, 17 weeks to go...

sharra - Wednesday, 4 June
Please call your Dr this morning. That does not seem right at all. Good luck.

gr8scottswife - Tuesday, 3 June
See my page for help with leg cramps.

mommy2beinoct - Tuesday, 3 June
I get the leg cramps to and while I have not eaten to much potacium I have been drinking tons of milk and it seems to be helping, I have not gotten one in atleast a week now, hope that helps!!

judi - Tuesday, 3 June
Katykat, I get AWFUL cramps in my calf muscles! My doctor said to drink tonic water, because a little quinine is a good cure for leg cramps, but everything I see on the internet says you should avoid quinine while pregnant, so I haven't tried it. But understanding the cause may help.

Muscles cramp from a build up of lactic acid, which occurs with really vigorous exercise (the rate of production of lactic acid is too fast for your circulation to remove it from the muscle tissue) or, in the case of pregnancy, the circulation is just REALLY slack down in your extremities, and the blood isn't getting rid of it. Lactic acid is a waste product from when your muscles work. So what may help, is things that enhance circulation to the legs. Foot massage, rubbing the calves, making circles with your feet, getting your heart rate up without stressing the muscles that are cramping, and make sure you aren't blocking the circulation by lying on your back. When in bed, try to lie on your left side, so there's minimal obstruction to the vena cava, the largest blood vessel that goes down to your legs. I'm still having leg cramps at night, but less often and less severe when I remember to massage and twirl my feet before bed!

itskristen - Tuesday, 3 June
That is so funny about your 2 kitties in the bed. I have the same problem and the pillow is just too much to handle with all those people in the bed!!
I wouldn't worry about your active little person. They say that fetal activity has no real bearing on how they turn out after their born. I also heard my baby kick the stethoscope--even when I couldn't hear the heartbeat, I kind of liked being able to hear at least that.

snoogy - Monday, 2 June
Yeah it's crazy. I got groceries last friday and bought a whole whack of tomatoes but don't really want them now - now it's marshmellows

snoogy - Sunday, 1 June
AND tomatoes - but toasted tomatoe sandwiches! Thank God no chocolate cravings - our complections take a beating as is.

katykat - Thursday, 29 May
Wow....I'm so glad morning sickness is FINALLY over! I can eat! And boy, do I eat....non-stop! I feel hungry usually about 30 minutes after my last meal...and I eat everything in sight! Spud (what Bryan named the baby, at least until we figure out what it is) kicks me ALL THE TIME...it was cute for oh, about a week or so...now it's just annoying, especially when I'm trying to go to sleep, or when I'm at work and it kicks me repeatedly in the bladder. I feel like a trampoline. A huge, bloated, cranky, hungry, lactating trampoline. Ah, the joys of pregnancy.
We find out next Friday what we're having, and I'm so excited! I nearly had to kill the midwife for it, she was trying to schedule my next u/s for the END OF JUNE, after I was already 7 months...so I quickly told her exactly what I thought of her, her hospital, and where they could stick their so-called "policies"...she quickly backpedaled and re-scheduled me for June 6th. Apparently she knew enough to not mess with a huge, bloated, cranky, hungry, lactating trampoline. : )

tiffjoy - Thursday, 29 May
Omg, I saw your comment on the father to be forum about the song Slow Ride from Guitar Hero and had to laugh!!! My kids got that game for Christmas and that song was banned from ever being played again!!
