My name is Katy. I will be having my very first little baby! It took a while for me to get used to the fact that i am pregnant. It was definitely not in our plans so soon. I am engaged to my wonderful fiance Mike and we were planning wedding.....not baby. Now that it has all sank in, i am very excited and can't stop thinking about baby plans!!! Wedding? What wedding?? Haha. We plan to do a quick ceremony then have a nice traditional ceremony later on.

The neatest thing about my pregnancy is that i get to go through it for the first time with my sister, whom is a week behind me! This was not planned :o) It will be a wonderful experience as soon as the sickness goes away (blah!)

Im so glad i found this site. It gives me an idea of what i am supposed to be feeling and doing at certain times in my pregnancy. Its interesting to see how others are coping and what they are going through. I cannot wait until i have that baby in my arms! Good luck to all you mommies-to-be out there!

I had my first doc appointment today! I was welcomed with high blood pressure (i have anxiety often) so they rushed me into do an ultrasound which i was super happy about!! It turns out i wasn't 10 weeks. I was 11 weeks and i am now due August 5th!! It was so neat to see MY baby on that monitor with its little legs sticking WAY up in the air! HAHA. You can see his eye sockets, mouth and his big ol' head of course. The neatest thing!! I cannot wait to go back and see how big it has gotten!! I go back next week to do a follow up on my blood pressure and then she will tell me when my next visit will be. I am a nervous wreck. This baby got my adrenaline pumping! I think i showed just about everyone the ultrasound pics! You can see the heart but we couldnt hear it yet. I can't wait to find out what i'm having. Mike will have to be with me for that one!! :o)

Today we found out the sex of the baby! Its a GIRL! We were so excited! My fiance was so cute during the u/s. It was his first time ever seeing one and it got him a little choked up. Awwh! :o) I think we called EVERYONE we know and told them. Cannot wait to get started on that nursery! Not to mention all those cute little dresses that need to be bought! This little girl is going to have mommy and daddy so BROKE but she will be well worth it! :o)
