Oct 24th,

I know we are suppose to contiune growing upwards to week 36, but I feel like I've already run out of room (week 30). It feels like my abdomen is growing out more than it has in the past, and my belly button is very shallow now. I do not feel the baby making small movement like I use to unless i put my hand on my bump. I do feel big movements and they are pretty regular. I also noticed I've become much more careful around stairs. I'm hoping the baby comesearlier than my due date, but just not to early!

Oct 14th.

Last night I had awful pain for about 15 minutes. It felt like my right side was being ripped from my body by sharp pains. I told my hubby it felt like several razor blades pressing outward. You could feel the baby on the right side and the left side of my belly was very soft. I wonder if he was turning around. If so I hope he keeps that activity to himself in the future. No pain since then and plenty of normal movements.

Oct 10th,

I passed my gd test! We had an ultrasound and little Jarred is now weighing 2lbs 14oz at 28 weeks, 2 days. In the last month, he has turned head up (breech position), but since I still feel him moving all the time he has time to turn around again. My huuby and I just took the hospitla tour and a birthing class (all in 1 day). Some of it was calming and helpful and some of it just made me nervous. But overall, I'm glad we went.

October 3rd,

I lost some of my comments to, so where was I? We have tentatively named our little boy Jarred Eaton. At our last ultrasound, 2 weeks ago, he weighed 2 lbs and was already head down. Since Aug we have switched OBGYN services and we are much happier. Our new doctor encourages our questions, and is very calming. i can get anxious enough on my own so I need a calming influence.

We have the nursery somewhat set up. The furniture is in place, but we do not have baby products like diapers, wipes and the other accessories yet. But we have put a lot on our registry and hopefully we will get some of that!!

I am still teaching and I hope that I can make it through the semester (Dec 17th). Each week it is getting harder to move around and carry microscope. One of my classes (their all adults) is enjoying my pregnancy with me. They are always asking how I'm doing and what is changing. Many of them have children and share their experiences with me.

I am starting my 2nd round of blood and urine testing because of high blood pressure. I'm also having a glucose tolerance test next week and I hope I pass!!

I hope everyone is doing well!

Aug 25th,

I went to the doctors this week. I'm on a rotation meeting the 5 doctors in the practice. I really liked my primary one, but the one I meet this time was awful. I certainly do not want to see him during child birth. He was also worried about my blood pressure. It has be getting higher and higher every month. Now it is very close to the high blood pressure mark. They keep checking my urine for protein, but none has been found. 21 weeks is really early for preclampsia to out, but I may have that or just hypertension. I think I'm going to need to take blood pressure medication soon. Hypertension runs in my family, but not for someone my age and my mom never had it with her pregnancies. Somedays I just wish I was younger and that my body was better able to handle all these changes!

August 7th

I am having a boy! My friends are happy for me and my husband because they think a boy will be able to keep up with us in the water. We are struggling with finding a name four our boy. They schedules us for a 4th ultrasound during week 25.

Hi everyone,

I am 16 weeks pregnant with our first human child. We have had 2 untrasounds already. The second one was a nucal transluceny test and our test results were good, so no invasive procedures required! My husband and I are working on names. We have a girls name, but not a boys name. We have another ultrasound in a couple of weeks of hope to find out the sex of our child.

My first trimester came with lots of heartburn and emotional feelings. I cry almost everytime I read comments about how people are feeling on this website. Now I'm in the 2nd trimester. I do not enjoy that i am gaining wieght. I have tried hard to keep a reasonable weight most of my life, so gaining 10 lbs drives my crazy. I have had to switch over to maternity bottoms as none of my normal clothes fit. My ankles have been swelling and I get bad headaches. I just noticed last night that I now have strecth marks across my belly.

I'm very excited about having a baby and at the same time I'm scared of sooo many things. I have a wonderful husband who is also excited and worried. We've already got the paint and decorations for the baby room, which is currently where the computer is. Our number 1 task is to organize our baby room and relocate the study. I do not work over summer, but I start teaching in August. So were are trying to accomplish major tasks before school starts.

Were in the U.S., but my husband's family is all half way around the world. We both wish they could be here or we could be there more so we could share all the changes, feeling, emotions and after our child is born his or her growth. My parents are only about 700 miles away or 11 hours of interstate driving.

Just a note for all you moms out there. Thank you for posting comments and making me feel not so strange about all the changes happening to me.

Hi again-thanks for the info. My urine came back fine too, but the dr. says I have 'chronic hypertension' I suppose it is only to be on the safe side. I took my 3 hour glucose today. I hope it comes back ok. We had an ultra-sound today...good to see the baby! We are having a 3/d next week. Take care

Hi Aud-So what were the results of your 24 hr. urine collection test. They just told me they will call me, which was kind of weird. I don't know when to expect them to call? Do they just say, you are positive or negative? It must be great being a biology teacher, and knowing all the 'lingo' and what things mean...I barely passed bio in college...but I found it fascinating. Where is your hubby from that is halfway across the world? You are lucky to have your own parents, mine died within the same year two years ago, and my hubby's parents are gone now too. We are pretty young to have lost both sets of grandparents. It is sad that my baby won't have any grandma or grandpa. Ok then, feel good. Hope to hear from you.

Hey there-I am due dec. 13, how are you feeling? I think we may go to the same obgyn group. And I think I know the dr. you are 'not wanting for the delivery' I felt that way to about one of the male dr.'s there. Anyway we have alot of similar 'issues' my b.p. has been climbing too, they actually are having me do a 24 hr. urine collection...to check for pregnancy induced hypertension. I also am having the 3 hr. glucose test because I failed the 1 hour. So I am feeling fine otherwise, but the last dr. I saw was sweet and is expecting too, so she is really on the ball about checking all the stuff that could be wrong. I am feeling alot of kicks now, but I am 28 weeks. How about you? Any kicks yet? Ok take care and come visit my page.

You know it's so weird. I have actually lost weight I've been told since I've been pregnant. In my face and neck that is. My blood pressure has also been amazing...the lowest ever! Even on my visit to the ER the triage nurse was amazed at how low but right on it was. Amazing how different we all are right. I hope you get that pressure under control soon. Blessings to you and may the rest of your pregnancy be blessed, safe, and healthy!

Thanks for you comment. I think you maybe right. I just eat when Im hungry and sometimes I have to force myself to eat and other times I am hungry all the time. I can tell when my blood sugar drops because if I do not get food I become cranky and feel like passing out. Good luck to you and thanks again.

My classes are normally spaced about 1/2 to 2 hours apart, so yes I will have time to pump. No our school does not offer any childcare. That is another issue I am dealing with. My husband is in the military and we just moved to our town, outside of the Navy community, so I dont really know many people over here. My best friend is a head start teacher about 10 minutes from our town and she is going to look into some local daycares and ask around. Thank you so much for your advise!!

Hi & welcome! You're so lucky to live in Asheville--it's such a beautiful place--a great place to have a kid! Best of luck with your pregnancy! So far, no stretch marks for me, but I'm sure they're coming.....
