Oct 24th,
I know we are suppose to contiune growing upwards to week 36, but I feel like I've already run out of room (week 30). It feels like my abdomen is growing out more than it has in the past, and my belly button is very shallow now. I do not feel the baby making small movement like I use to unless i put my hand on my bump. I do feel big movements and they are pretty regular. I also noticed I've become much more careful around stairs. I'm hoping the baby comesearlier than my due date, but just not to early!
Oct 14th.
Last night I had awful pain for about 15 minutes. It felt like my right side was being ripped from my body by sharp pains. I told my hubby it felt like several razor blades pressing outward. You could feel the baby on the right side and the left side of my belly was very soft. I wonder if he was turning around. If so I hope he keeps that activity to himself in the future. No pain since then and plenty of normal movements.
Oct 10th,
I passed my gd test! We had an ultrasound and little Jarred is now weighing 2lbs 14oz at 28 weeks, 2 days. In the last month, he has turned head up (breech position), but since I still feel him moving all the time he has time to turn around again. My huuby and I just took the hospitla tour and a birthing class (all in 1 day). Some of it was calming and helpful and some of it just made me nervous. But overall, I'm glad we went.
October 3rd,
I lost some of my comments to, so where was I? We have tentatively named our little boy Jarred Eaton. At our last ultrasound, 2 weeks ago, he weighed 2 lbs and was already head down. Since Aug we have switched OBGYN services and we are much happier. Our new doctor encourages our questions, and is very calming. i can get anxious enough on my own so I need a calming influence.
We have the nursery somewhat set up. The furniture is in place, but we do not have baby products like diapers, wipes and the other accessories yet. But we have put a lot on our registry and hopefully we will get some of that!!
I am still teaching and I hope that I can make it through the semester (Dec 17th). Each week it is getting harder to move around and carry microscope. One of my classes (their all adults) is enjoying my pregnancy with me. They are always asking how I'm doing and what is changing. Many of them have children and share their experiences with me.
I am starting my 2nd round of blood and urine testing because of high blood pressure. I'm also having a glucose tolerance test next week and I hope I pass!!
I hope everyone is doing well!

Aug 25th,
I went to the doctors this week. I'm on a rotation meeting the 5 doctors in the practice. I really liked my primary one, but the one I meet this time was awful. I certainly do not want to see him during child birth. He was also worried about my blood pressure. It has be getting higher and higher every month. Now it is very close to the high blood pressure mark. They keep checking my urine for protein, but none has been found. 21 weeks is really early for preclampsia to out, but I may have that or just hypertension. I think I'm going to need to take blood pressure medication soon. Hypertension runs in my family, but not for someone my age and my mom never had it with her pregnancies. Somedays I just wish I was younger and that my body was better able to handle all these changes!
August 7th
I am having a boy! My friends are happy for me and my husband because they think a boy will be able to keep up with us in the water. We are struggling with finding a name four our boy. They schedules us for a 4th ultrasound during week 25.
Hi everyone,
I am 16 weeks pregnant with our first human child. We have had 2 untrasounds already. The second one was a nucal transluceny test and our test results were good, so no invasive procedures required! My husband and I are working on names. We have a girls name, but not a boys name. We have another ultrasound in a couple of weeks of hope to find out the sex of our child.
My first trimester came with lots of heartburn and emotional feelings. I cry almost everytime I read comments about how people are feeling on this website. Now I'm in the 2nd trimester. I do not enjoy that i am gaining wieght. I have tried hard to keep a reasonable weight most of my life, so gaining 10 lbs drives my crazy. I have had to switch over to maternity bottoms as none of my normal clothes fit. My ankles have been swelling and I get bad headaches. I just noticed last night that I now have strecth marks across my belly.
I'm very excited about having a baby and at the same time I'm scared of sooo many things. I have a wonderful husband who is also excited and worried. We've already got the paint and decorations for the baby room, which is currently where the computer is. Our number 1 task is to organize our baby room and relocate the study. I do not work over summer, but I start teaching in August. So were are trying to accomplish major tasks before school starts.
Were in the U.S., but my husband's family is all half way around the world. We both wish they could be here or we could be there more so we could share all the changes, feeling, emotions and after our child is born his or her growth. My parents are only about 700 miles away or 11 hours of interstate driving.
Just a note for all you moms out there. Thank you for posting comments and making me feel not so strange about all the changes happening to me.
