I just got back form my apt. I didn't see the doctor I see the Nurse Practitioner again...one day it would be nice to meet my doctor!!! Good news is she checked my cervix and it is closed and thick, so I am very thankful for that. But still very disappointed with the situation b/c she then told me she didn't feel it necessary to do an ultrasound since my cervix is closed. I honestly do not know if she is simply uneducated about incompetence cervix and how it actually starts from the inside of the cervix rather than the outside, or if she was just busy and didn't want to take the time or if she is just plain careless?! I don't know but it is disturbing! On one hand I feel good knowing I am not dilated at all and my cervix is nice and closed but on the other hand it doesn't give me much reassurance everything is okay inside. I go back in 2 weeks at my regular apt and if I am having any issues I will address them then if not sooner. Thanks for everyone's concern, for now....all seems well!

I'm scared of turkey and stuff like that - she did good on it? My lo just now is getting his 2 bottom teeth, they are not even all the way through yet. I have a couple pictures of Evan with that same face - they are so cute!

First that profile pic is adorable! But I just got Evan the swine flu vaccine, I was worried but after plenty of reading and asking around it is a regular flu shot, he had a shot in the leg today. He is cranky - but he had a shot, so that is what we finally decided. I figure the risks are too high if they get the swine flu. And about foods, what did you decide? My lo went through a stage where he didn't want any baby food anymore, and now he does Earth's Best stage 3's....there are some good ones he likes - he loves teh spaghetti and lasagna one. We also give puffs, yogurt melts, wagon wheels, biter biscuits, graham crackers from gerber.....things like that. I also bought ravioli graduates and heated those up and cut them up and let him feed himself - he loved it! Also we do mac and cheese, banana, mashed potatoes. He loves yogurt too!!! Just some siggestions, if you have any for me let me know........Thanks!!!

No, with my daughter (8 yrs ago) I went into preterm labor at 7months, no contractions but my cervix started to dilate, but they did not diagnose me with IC, then after my last miscarriage they had to perform a d&c and then 3 weeks later a repeat d&c, both times they had complications with my cervix, had to tear it and put stiches in it, my doctor then told me I would be high risk for IC with my next pregnancy, which is nowI may just being worried for nothing, but I would rather be safe than sorry. I REALLY do not want to lose another bay, it would crush me!

Hey Christine! I just saw your message about what Rylee is eating. She has a couple less teeth then Noah but I'm sure she could kee up with him in the food department. I know you're worried about choking but as long as things aren't too hard and are cut small enough I wouldn't fret too much. Noah's eating everythig we are except the foods he should have until he's a year...peanut butter, berries, honey, milk, etc. He LOOOOVES food! LOL! He was so over his babyfood, too, so I'm glad we just started him on the big people stuff.

Yeah at this point I wil be happy with a return call! lol And then I will ask to come in for a check, it is scary and I just want to know everything is okay and if it is not, then I want to take the steps to correcting it
