Hey, I haven't gotten the SWV for Joel and I won't get it.. for several reasons most are in my blog but my sister (who normally gets all shots for her kids) isn't getting because her pedi recommended that she NOT get it for them. Major reason was the fact that the ones for the kids is through the nose and she doesn't like the live sprays like that and she said that the vaccine is still too untested. It was made too quickly in her opinion.. and this is a pedi that normally pushes vaccines.

That's sounds great yeah I wonder why they don't do that hear, I guess our goverment has diffrent ideas of what ages its safe for which is quite silly if young children and babies r high risk

Hey hun on the swine flu vac I got mine done 2 weeks ago and asked about gemma out of curiosity and the told me she was to young to have it also my 3 and half yr nephew was to young aswell so I don't know what age u have to be here in australia I havnt really thought if I would give it to gemma or not basically she aint old enough so I didn't think it through any further

Hi, I have not gotten the swine flu vaccine and I dont plan on it. I'm hung up over the fact that it hasnt been out long enough to know the true side effects and how many drugs have been released quickly in the past only for it to come back with severe complications later on?! Not to mention, there is just too much going on with Sophia that I'm not willing to risk it.

No H1N1 vaccination for us... 1) they didn't have it available. 2) I read this blog http://www.i-am-pregnant.com/vip-blog/kevinsmilf08/12572693933) she's in the middle of getting the regular one.4) My 12yo DD just had the flu and KNOCK ON WOOD, the rest of us have stayed healthy....The blog is long but worth reading. The flu season has already gone thru the southern hemisphere so there's some good results to go by. Good luck.

Hey :) Rylee sure is getting big! Joel will be 10 months on the 16th and I feed him the Gerber third foods and the Gerber graduates meals. He LOVES them. I know he isn't a toddler yet but I feed him the meals. I just don't put too much different textures on the spoon. Like I will feed him the chicken pieces by themselves and corn by itself to reduce the risk of choking. If Rylee is eating the fruit dices she should be alright to eat most foods without you having to worry about her choking :) I will give Joel almost everything that I eat for dinner. His favorite is also lasagna! For snacks he eats poofs and the little Gerber cheetos and apple wheels.

Hey hun ever since gemma was 4 month old I made all her food and still do instead of belnding it now I mash it so she gets use to bigger textures, I usual give her potato, pumpkin,carrot, cauliflower and broccili,zuchini, I also sometimes just boil the veges and let her chew them whole as I got told at thois age I should let her experiment with food, as for meet I give chicken as well as pork mince and normal mince I also add some gravy at times which she loves and it added more flavor and make 2 weeks worth and freeze it, she also likes weetbix, baby ceral, yougart, custard and heiz cheezy bite sticks, she has 2 bottom teeth and 2 of her top eye teeth coming through and does extremely well on all these foods, I hope I've helped amd not just blabbered on lol

My LO doens't like the texture of 'real' food or anything beyond Gerber #2's. I might have a long haul ahead of me! Sorry, got no advice other than if she does like table food, just maybe stick it in a blender or one of those 'littler choppers' to make sure everything is cut up really small. And of course NEVER leave her eating alone.

UPDATE FROM MY SO SCARED BLOG US PROMISED: if u don't remember 5 month after having gemma I went for a pap smear and it came back abnormal I was so scared and had been ever since, well I went in for a repeat pap smear and am happy to say it come back normal, thank u to everyone for the support they gave and the personal stories they shared (((hugz)))
