My name is Nikki and I'm 25 years old. I'm currently expecting baby number 2, super excited! I have a 4 year old daughter. Her name is Kayleigh. The new baby will be due March 6, 2013. As long as it's healthy, I don't mind whether I have a girl or boy. Looking forward to finding out the sex though at 20 weeks. So far my pregnancy is good. I've had very little morning sickness and no other issues.

~*September 18, 2012*~

15 week check up went well. Got weighed and saw that I had lost 2 pounds, so only gained 1 so far. Had bloodwork done to check for cystic fibrosis and down syndrome. Hoping both of those come back negative. Heard the babys heartbeat for the first time. It's little heartrate was in the 150's which is perfect. =) My next appointment will be September 28th to find out the sex and make sure everything is fine with the baby. =) Can't wait!

17 week check up was today and had an ultrasound done to find out I'm having a BOY! Couldn't be more excited. Was pretty sure it was a boy only because my symptoms this pregnancy were completely opposite when I was pregnant with my daughter. His heartrate was 163 and he is growing great. I go in for another ultrasound in 4 weeks for anatomy scan again, because he was too small this time to see everything developed. His name will be Michael Anthony. =)

Had my 21 week check up today. Gained 5 pounds total so far which is good, because with my first pregnancy, I gained about 15 by now. Had an anatomy scan done and it's still a boy! His weight was 14 ounces and everything looked perfect. He was being stubborn though and flipped positions, so need another anatomy scan done in 4 weeks to finish checking his heart. His heart rate was in the 150's and he is absolutely perfect. =)

~*November 19, 2012*~

24 week check up went great. Had a sonogram to finish checking his little heart which looked perfect. He now weighs 1 lb 9 oz. He is still breech with butt down. Hoping that he changes by the time I'm ready to have him. I now go to the doctors every 3 weeks and need a sonogram every month due to his kidneys measuring a little larger than they should be. I'm hoping they measured wrong and everything is fine, because I'm a worry wart. Also get my glucose test done next appointment. Next appointment is December 10th.

Had my 30 week check up along with an ultrasound to check for growth. Baby boy is now weighing at approximately 3 lbs even. He is STILL frank breech, but the doctors aren't concerned until I hit 36 weeks. I'm hoping he turns, because I'm terrified at the thought of a c-section seeing as how I have NEVER had surgery in my life. I really want to experience labor and everything for the second time. My next appointment will be January 9th for my 32 week check up.

~*January 23, 2013*~

Had my 34 week check up and a growth scan. Baby boy weighs approximately 4lbs15oz which is average. Saw hair on his head on the ultrasound. :) Also found out that he is FINALLY head down. I am now going to the OB every week. I also had a BPP (biophysical profile) scan in which he scored 8 out of 8. I go back to be seen next week on January 30th.

~*January 30, 2013*~

Had my 35 week check up today. Also had the BPP scan done again in which he scored 8 out of 8 again! Had some routine bloodwork done as well as the group B strep culture. Hopefully that comes back negative. He is still head down, so I'm happy about that. So far I've gained a total of 20 lbs which is great because with my first pregnancy, I gained a total of 53 lbs. The doctor checked my cervix to see if I was dilating and I'm not as of yet. I did start losing my mucus plug on Monday. I can't believe I only have 5 weeks or less left! The time is going fast now. I will be seen next week on February 6th which is exactly one month before my due date!
