Dec. 1, 2007

Well today I am 16 weeks pregnant, and boy have I had a hard time. The morning sickness (that lasts all day and all night) has not let up even a little. I already had to be admitted to the hospital once because I was so dehydrated. I also had a bladder infection, a UTI and a kidney infection all at the same time. It was not enjoyable at all.

I have my first appointment with my ob/gyn on Dec 5, and I can wait. All I really want to do is make an appoitment for my next ultrasound, so we can find out the sex. I feel like it is a girl, but my other half thinks it is a boy. I just want to know so badly!!!

I'm really hoping that the sickness will go away soon! Also, I just started having heartburn the last couple days, and I really don't want to experience that much more. It hurts quite a bit. I feel like my throat is literally on fire!! Sometimes I think that I am feeling movement, but then other times I think I"m probably just wishing I could feel movement and that my mind is playing tricks on me.

Well we just saw the ob/gyn today and we now have to wait until Dec. 18 to find out the sex. I"m so excited to know what it is. And thankfully, it is right before Christmas, so hopefully we can get some early baby Christmas presents. I'm pretty sure now that I feel movement now. The ob told me today that the baby's comfortable position, is with his/her feet smooshed into my bladder. Trust me, it is very uncomfortable!!!!!

Well we found out it is a BOY!!!! The ultrasound tech showed us all 4 chambers of the heart, the lungs, the ribs, the stomach, the kidneys, the spleen, legs bones, and of course, his boy 'parts'!!! It was clear as day that he was a BOY!!! We are pretty excited for a BOY. We just have to come up with a name! Actually, we have just decided on one today, but we are keeping it a secret until our baby BOY is born!!

Hi hun!
I am doing well and I am not going crazy at all - I am in no real hurry.

I am scheduled for induction on friday when I am 42+0 but I am actually thinking of postponing it until monday instead as I am seeing a midwife that specialises in obstetric acupunture tomorrow at 10am. I am hoping that will do something to push things along - I'll decide after talking to her...

I am doing well - I am really not very keen on the medical induction thing - to put it mildly... :-D (yes we are very hippie-like up here in Scandinavia...haha..not really...

I hope so too! I'm going in on manday (41+3) for an internal - and then I'll finally find out if I'm softened/effaced/blah blah...I am really hoping so because this babyboy has already been said to be around 10lbs. Phew! Imagine pushing that out :-D

Go to the hospital!! ASAP!!!

The color green is a big warning sign that there could be an infection. Also the water is not always clear, like if the baby has already passed meconium, and this is also a sign to go get checked right away. So all in all I think you should definitely go get checked out ASAP!!
