momof2luvbugs - Wednesday, 2 July
Hey where did you get the "we're having a son" icon?

momof2luvbugs - Wednesday, 2 July
You're too funny... believe me I was the same way, only I had no one but my own mother to ask. So I'll be happy to answer any questions you have :0)

Breastfeeding: No I didn't. I was too "embarrassed" I guess... but I am BFing this one. For a lot of reason, not just bc it's "best" for the baby -- I'm doing it bc it's cheaper, convenient, helps speed weight loss, etc. LOL But that choice is yours. I didn't with Kaylee and she was just fine :0)

Back Labor: Was horrid!! Instead of having all my contractions hit me in the stomach and what not like most labors are, mine was very very very bad back pain. The best way to describe it was everytime I contracted, it felt like someone was snapping my back in half, no joke! Ugh!! I would've went the entire labor without an epidural (explain later) if it weren't for the back pain that the pitocin caused for me.

Pitocin: Is a drug they give women to jump start labor or to speed up the process of labor. For instance, I was NOT feeling a single contraction and they were big ones (going off the chart) and I couldn't feel them to push so therefore I wasn't progressing. They started me on Pitocin and almost immediately my contractions were so hard and coming so fast that I couldn't take it any longer and I gave in to the epidural.

Giving Birth: Actually was not bad at all. Especially after I was given the Epidural LOL. I'll be trying to go natural with this one, although the more my back has been bothering the more I'm beginning to think I'm goin to have the same issues as before. SO we'll see. What's funny is ppl talk about it hurting like hell and what not, but once you have the meds and then once the baby is out - you immediately forget about the pain. It's like instant relief. It's the weirdest thing and so hard to describe. It's hard to explain the experience bc every person is different and there isn't one labor that's alike. Mine was pretty easy, my mom said that I was too quiet and was laughing bc she thought for sure that I'd be yelling and screaming and I didn't. My daughter had some issues and that was the only problem, that I really hope to not have to go through again (you can read her birth story on her page) -- It's obviously not that bad if people do it numerous times! hahaha. You'll be just fine!!

Don't fret hun!! It happens so fast (even though it seems like light years) that the next day you're going to sit there and go "what the hell just happened?" haha... it's crazy!!

Breastfeeding is one of the best gifts you can give your little one. It is not only better for his health, it is better for your health and it is such an amazing experience to be able to provide your little one with food that only you are able to give him. I really hope that you will read up on the benefits of breastfeeding before you make a decision one way or the other. If you do decide to breastfeed feel free to ask me any questions you have or if you have problems when you start let me know and I'll help as much as I can!

BoyStruckX2 - Wednesday, 2 July
No thats okay!! Breastfeeding is SO much harder than anyone ever told me. I am doin better with it this time around than the first time :) You have to really want to do it to keep up with it. lol

I cant take birth control because I unfortunately had a blood clot two summers ago. And they absolutely refuse to put me on anything with hormones, because it would double my risk of getting another one.....
