About the Gemini Baby

Eager to get going (this baby probably kicked up a storm in the womb!), the Gemini baby is likely to be talking early and making a mark from day one. Curious and quite the explorer, this tot is one who needs lots of stimuli in order to be happy, as they are easily bored. Since those communication skills are top-notch, the smart thing to do with this baby is bring them into a play group as soon as possible. At home, siblings could easily fill this function, as someone must! It's never too early for the Gemini baby to interact with others, and they will also learn their lessons early on. The Gemini tot is definitely not clingy. Quite the contrary, this is one baby who is happy to march to their own drummer, gallivanting about and being amused in the process. Surprisingly, when this baby is not engaged (chatting or playing with others), there could be a certain emotional detachment. For that reason, it's best to keep things uncomplicated and easy for them to understand, the better to maintain harmony. To sum up, the Gemini baby is the Great Communicator of the play group, has a short attention span (so keep 'em busy!), and is one clever and creative tot.

The Chinese Year Of The Rat..

People born under the Chinese sign of the Rat are lucky! Rats are Born in the Chinese year of the Rat! intelligent and great with people, surrounding themselves with many friends. The Rat's natural charisma ensures they are the centre of attention at social gatherings. They keep their friends too as they are very loyal.

Rat people enjoy the good things in life, fine clothes, wines and gourmet food. However, they can have a mean streak, they don't waste money and have an eye for bargains. They are astute in financial matters and will have money tucked away for emergencies.

People born under this sign are fortunate. They are talented, ambitious and often successful in business. However, they need to avoid taking on too much at one time as they can run out of energy before completing a project.

Rats can keep secrets as long as they are their own. They do have a tendency to gossip and can readily give away other people's secrets. But Rats are so charismatic that nobody is angry with them for long.

22/04/08

Well its been a long time so tought I should write somthing. We had our 32 week appointment today with the mid wife. I am still measuring off the chart so this is looking like a big boy!!!!! She actually took some blood to be sent off for a glucose intolorence test. We will find out about that at the end of the week. Also we noe have the case paked and ready by the door so it can happen moment, how scary is that?!?!?!?!?

I had my first bout of Heartburn the other day, can you belive it?!?!?

I managed to make it to week 32 with no sickness no heartburn no emotional wreakage no tears, OMG lets just hope the next one treats me just aswell!!!!

13/03/08

Well after all the worry and the extra scan and being told thta he is hiding behind the placenta, well he came back round in force last night!!!!

After finishing dinner i felt him move at the front of my belly so I pulled up my shirt and sat there staring at my bump only to see it moving,Gav nd myself were like " LOOK AT THAT" "DID YOU SEE THAT?" It was just the best!!!!

11/03/08

Well we went in for the scan today and after they made loads of cock ups with the times and what not on the desk we eventually got seen.

Eveything was looking fine and dandy, he has plenty of movements it is just beacuse the placenter is laying on the front and he has managed ot get his-self behind it.

They took all the measurments again and worked out his weight and it is all on course weighing in at a healthy 2lb 4oz.

So another case of first time mum panicking, but I dont care id rather know for my own peice of mind.

08/03/08

Went into work for a few hours today and still no movements. This is the 4th day now and it is worrying me as he has had sucha sest routine for a long time now. I ended up caling the hospital just for some words of reassurence more than anything. They asked me to go in so they could have a listen in, you could here him moving but I couldny feel anything, due the placenter being at the front, what ever that means?!?!?!

Anyway, they have said that they want me in for another scan and a full anti-natal. So am now sitting at work Monday moring waiting for the phone to ring with an appointment time.

16/02/08

Lay on the sofa as you do on a Saturday night, and OMG he was kicking the hell out of me all night.

Poor Gav I kept telling him "Quick Give Me Your Hand" but for ages he couldnt feel anything, so I then moved positions and grabbed Gav hand again then I just saw his face light up as he felt our son kick me repeatedly about 5 times in a row, it was brilliant!!!!!!

08/02/08

Well 22 weeks today and It was the first time Gav actually saw my belly move, Im sooo happy for him, I kept feeling like he was missing out on something.

I was just lying on the bed with my belly out and Gav came a lay next to me and was rubbing my belly really softly for about 5 minutes before had to puill his hand away really quickly as my bump jumped and I think it shook all of us for a second, but it was abso lutly brilliant.

I cant keep him away from my belly now just waiting for the next time!!!!!

01/02/08

IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!!

I can't belive it, Im sooooooooooooooo happy and Gav finaly gets his Son.

The scan was great, the little terror wouldnt stay still butluckily we had a trainee and she took for ever untill we got some blinding pictures!!

I burst into tears when she said hnestly I was that happy thats the first time ive cried through the whole pregnancy!!!

We wnet straigh out over to Next and got 2 little Jeans & Top suits, how cute!!, Then we wnet over to the Blues ground and brought a little football suit, ha ha ha I LOVE IT !!!!!!

19/01/08

Well we just came back from a meeting the Hynotherapest to discuss the birthing plan.

It was great, she answered loads of questions and told us the we dont have to start the course untill 6 weeks before due date.

Which will give us plenty of time to save for it.

You need 4 sessions at £90 a pop so not the cheapest way to have a baby but so many advantages its sooo worth it.

16/01/08

18 weeks and 5 days today and felt the best movement ever after lunch.
I went home from work, warmed up some spaghetti hoops and sauage roll then slumped on the sofa talking to Gav on the phone, then all of a sudden this huge, back flip started happening, It was brilliant, cant wait for the next time!!!!

Hi there, I just read your comment to the lady who posted the poll about feeling sour towards teen moms and being a teen mom I appriciate what you said. I wish all "adults" could be as open minded as you.

ziggi - Wednesday, 11 June
I'm in Stratford due to cheap rent!!! Need to move soon though cuz we have NO room left in our flat -and that's before she's even joined us! I think we may be heading out of London though due to partner's job.
My fella-James-nearly hugged the midwife when she told us to go home and eat curry and have sex. Could be worse I suppose-that castor oil idea just sounds crazy. I'm on the tea but I don't like it so I have to gulp it down.
Lovin the trampoline idea-that'd amuse me for hours

Hi Kelly, I was also confused by all the inductions etc on the site but most of the ladies are from the US. I'm a UK bod too and have had relatively little medical intervention at all-is that your experience too? The UK approach led by midwives seems very hands off (I've not so much as had one internal) but I think I prefer it this way. I am amazed at all the ladies knowing how dilated and effaced they are and being given sweeps at 37 & 38 weeks. Saw my midwife this morning and I'm not due to go in again for two weeks til i'm 41 weeks and I'll then be written to and given a time to go into the hospital for induction.

LOL bless pregnancy brain - alas, even at this late stage the name is not set in stone... Jay is to name his son, but I'd like to squeeze in Jared there as a middle name... I came across it a few months ago and just haven't been able to get it out of my head since, it just seems to ring right.

Aye, I think you have the right idea with the bag - one big bag instead of all this stupid little luggage -like half a bag for this, and a teeny bag for that... according to my list here, I'm to pack THREE bags, one for me, one for baby, and one for labour (me and baby), what a freakn waste of time!

I'd actually pay money to see you on this trampoline, and I'd double it to see you trying to get off!

That must be SUCH a hoot LOL...

Yeah I'm not really into the whole TRYING to get him out yet thing.. but I'm getting there fast... I've had 3 or 4 false labour contractions in about a week or so, but nothing since. I keep checking for my mucus plug, or show... alas.. nothing. I'm due back at the doctor next tuesday if he doesn't arrive before then, but if he's not here, I'm going to start trying everything, I desperately don't want to go over!

On the upside, i was at the Ob yesterday, and living on cardboard has really helped - he's not such a huge monster anymore, and growth has actually come under control... he's a healthy 7 pounds or so at the mo, and the doc says if he comes on time he shouldn't be more than 8 pounds to deliver.. I am SO relieved! lol

How are you planning on delivering? I can't remember whether you were going to go vaginal or caesar? Either way, you'll probably go before I do - do let me know how it goes, when you get a chance (I certainly don't expect you to have time to mooch around on here anymore! LOL )

nancy26 - Wednesday, 11 June
how're you holding up honey?? OMG 39 weeks!!!! Ahhhhh, I'm So excited for you... and jealous... I can't believe you're due on Friday 13th... how awesome is that? (It's considered a VERY lucky day over here)... Are you excited? I guess if you're anything like me you've had enough and just want him here already!! lol

So I'm sitting around ironing and packing baby clothes today - it's about time, because I've been procrastinating for about a week on that... only 9 days to go for me... I'm beginning to think I might even go over at this stage though. How're you feeling? Think you'll go on time?

I can't recall - have you and Gav chosen a name for your bouncy little boy?

shortstuff - Wednesday, 11 June
My Dr volunteered to induce me before she went on vacation because I have a wisdom tooth that really needs to be pulled. I couldn't get it done before she left which would have been a week ago so I'm getting it done tomorrow which is my due date.

Jadens*MaMa - Wednesday, 11 June
ya it was just a local shop we had not been to before!!! I say we cuz are whole family love getting tattoos... You should put some pics up of your tatoos!!!

Jadens*MaMa - Wednesday, 11 June
I bet you will be going very soon i dont think you have to be induced!! I was 4 days before my due date at the docs and had been three cem.. for 2 weeks so he scheduled me to be induced the next morn. went home and about 8:00 at night started to fell contrations but wasnt sure so my mom told me to ggo to the hospital anyways got there and i was 6 cm, water bag was bulging and i had only benn contracting for 2 hours i delivered at 3:01am so iwas only in labor for 8 hours it was so unusual for firt time pregnacy!!!

Jadens*MaMa - Wednesday, 11 June

thank you so much for your message on my page about my SPD. it has been very bad these last few days - where i can hardly stand... and even if i am standing, it feels like my whole pelvis is giving way. so so painful.

i hope that yours is easing up, or at the very least, manageable.

i am going to try to find your post about SPD now

Linda-Rose - Tuesday, 10 June
Wow what a nightmare your partners ex sounds like.. She broke in2 your house ...Wot a freak!!! sounds like a tricky situation with the divorce arrangement too..

Sounds like your gona have to try bring bubba here before the kids next stay Go for a long hard walk up a hill, go hard on the sex, eat curry, Raspberry Tea or even Cator oil

How old are the kids?? They cant be left alone??

I hope things work out for you, you really dont need the xtra stress at this point of your preggnancy,, Ill keep poping in on your proflile to see wot happens xx

Jadens*MaMa - Monday, 9 June
wow thats to bad she has to bitch about it instead of understanding.. you know? doesnt she realize that they are gonna have to go back with her if you go into labor anyway... how much longer to your due date? p.s wat a bitch that ex of his!!!! LOL

mariettap - Monday, 9 June
Still, odds are very good that you will go into labor before they return. Time to focus on you--he pregnant lady is typically the most forgotten in the whole ordeal. I hope you get yourself some rest, some pampering, and some peace, and then go on to knock out a great little baby. best wishes.

Number2intheOven - Monday, 9 June
I saw that at the end and I was just saying, that I think it was worded wrong.

Wow, she sounds psycho. Sounds like you guys are kind of in a jam. I get along great with my ex so it's hard for me to say what is best for you guys to do. Do you transport them back and forth? Does the summer schedule change? My son goes with his dad 2 weeks at a time in the summer. Do you still keep every other weekend?

I'm sorry you're dealing with all that stress.

RobinG - Monday, 9 June
I would have them come to the hospital then with you, as you wold do for another sibling and a family member come get them ~ either thier grandparents, a baby sitter or thier mom ~ This is not an arrangement a judge will consider you breaking as long as you see how she wants to handle it ~ even if she is a snot a judge will know this is a circumstance that the mother must be flexible at ~ so even if she balks she still needs to be contacted and asked to come get the kids when you go into labor or his parents ~ (())

alex76 - Monday, 9 June
Hopefully you'll get something sorted soon and you'll be able to enjoy the rest of you're pregnancy. I couldnt be arsed with the hassle either. let me know how things go

nancy26 - Monday, 9 June
lol Stretchmarks are strategically hidden under my sweatpants in that photo! LOL. the worst of them are under my belly button, which you don't see from side on :P I'm just a good poser lol!

I'm doing alright thanks hon! Nervous, excited AND impatient at the moment, but also happy if he's willing to wait - hospital bag is okay, but labour bag and baby's clothes are not packed yet!!Talk about procrastination!

How're you feeling?? You're even closer than I! Crazy isn't it? so are you all ready to go? My knees are beginning to take strain with what I'm doing around the house and the extra weight, and my back aches more often.. spending a lot of time on my side on the couch! lol. Can't wait to be a bit more mobile again, I feel like an old woman!

Do let me know how you are!!
XXX

mariettap - Monday, 9 June
I saw your poll. It seems to me a reasonable concern--You have enough on your mind right now, right? Parents have been dealing with already-there kids for ages and ages though--It's going to be ok. Could you ask your husband to take charge of this detail for you and make arrangements for a backup plan in case you go into labor when they're staying with you two? It may be as simple as a neighbor friend who's willing to have them come over and stay until Dad gets home. Odds are great that you won't even have to act on the back-up plan, but the peace of mind that comes from preparedness can't be understated.

Linda-Rose - Monday, 9 June
Hi there,,

Just read your poll about having your step kids at your place if you go in2 labour, an cant belive people are overreacting about your question...

Id feel the same way,, you must be exshusted (xcuse my spelling ) as well, and having to look after 2 kids when your due cant be easy,, I myself have 2 kids and will probaly b stressed out to the max round my due date but luckily have heaps of support people..

anyways good luck an dont even worry bout those strange peoples comments
