Hi, I saw your post about teething rings and cereal. It is okay to put the gel teething rings in the freezer. Actually I store them in there because they don't get hard and they are always ready if he needs one. the Water ones I would keep in the fridge, because you don't want to give you baby a hard icecube to chew on, not to mention that they hurt when the baby hits himself in the head with it. Now with the cereal, I use gerber, and always have. Start out with the plain rice cereal and go for at least a week on that, you can mix it with apple juice to add flavor if your baby won't eat it. After your baby is doing okay on rice cereal, then you can start to move towards oatmeal, barley and then baby food :) Hope this helps

I agree with Peapod. The enfamil in either liquid, ready-to-eat and the powder form is the same thing, its just that the powder form will go much farther. So its cheaper, basically. But all of the Enfamil products have Lipil, which suppose to closley mimic breast milk.
If your baby tends to get really fussy, due to gas, you might want to your doctor about Gentlease. My 8 week old son was crying alot and seemed in pain, so I asked the doctor and we switched him to Gentlease. It worked great! Its also made by Enfamil has lipid and is iron fortified. It just has less lactose, which can sometimes really bother their little tummy. Hope this helps you!

my doctor actually recommended enfamil lipil with iron. since then, we've switched to the one for gas and fussiness (gentlease)but to answer your question, yes--that formula is a safe one

My little girl is 8 wks old and she drinks 1 oz a day of pear juice. YOu have to dilute the juice is all. He said 1 oz juice to 1 oz water. Start introducing it slowly b/c if given in large amounts may upset their belly! Hope this helps

Dont know anything about prune juice, but there is a new over the counter laxitive out that used to be prescription only called Miralax. My pedi told me to put in 1 tbsp in one bottle a day and it has been working wonders. You can find it where the laxatives are and it dissolves into water. It is the easiest thing out on there little bellies he said. It doesn't actually absorb into the babies system. Instead it binds to the water it is dissolved in so that the water will stay in the colon (rather than be absorbed) and mix with the hard stool, thus making it softer. So it's not really a laxative, but rather a stool softener. The whole family uses it from time to time with no bad effects.

adding water to the prune juice is fine. When you start giving the baby juice later, typically you water it down by 50% anyways, so they don't get diareah. And with the WIC you shouldn't have any problems getting it. They helped me come up with the reason why they were putting us on it with my daughters. They are there to help and it really does save you alot of money. Hope the baby feels better

My little girl gets WIC for her formula. She uses the Similac sensitive canned concentrate and WIC pays for it. I can only use the powder formula w/ my little girl when we are out b/c it makes her constipated where as the canned concentrate doesn't.

you almost need to plan 6 months to 1 year ahead of time to conceive again... I was on it for 4 years and when I went off it took me 2 years to get preg.

I had the depo shot after my last child and it was not good. I got mean towards my husband, and had lots of headaches. I also gained weight and couldn't lose any. It worked as a birth control, but I almost got a divorce because of the mood swings:( Hopefully it won't b like that for you. I am going with mirena. I get that in wednesday :)

Hi Kelly-- I had to give my baby water with every feeding so that he wouldn't be so constipated. My doctor said that 1/2 ounce with every feeding wouldn't hurt him. Now he has evened out and we don't have to give it to him so much, but it didn't bother him at all. I would call your doc if you have any doubts at all.

Kelly, I think you should go to the hospital if you are having pains every 1o minutes...better be safe!! i was having such pains and it was contractions and they can give you something to stop it.

Good luck! Enjoy them-- and thanks for the feedback on mine. We had to go in twice as the first one the tech said that the baby was in the wrong position. So, if you have to go in twice, don't worry!
