Heya all hope you are all well? We found out we were pregnant on the 23rd Jan! Was having cramps like period pains so went to the hospital and they done an internal scan! I am 5 weeks pregnant and my baby is 1.4mm. I got to see its heart beating!! was sooo sweet! All is healthy and well! Look forward to chattin and sharing experiences with you all x xThursday, 7 Feb
I cant stop myself getting really really excited!! I know i shouldnt because it is such early days but we have wanted this for sooo long! Now that it has happened i cant think of anything else! Had a bad week this week lots of dizzyness being sick and moody!! Have slept most of it mind you so thats a bonus i supose! Cant believe i have to wait to the 28th for my doctors appt though getting soooo impatient!! Want for Justin to feel more envolved too! At the moment he is just having to suffer my tantrums and moans! Bless him hahahaha!! Hope you are all still doing great!! x x
Thursday, 6th March
These last two weeks have gone really quick! Cant believe im two days off 10 weeks already! We had our first antinatal appt at the Dr's on the 21st Feb in the end as my great Grandad passed away and his funeral fell on the 28th so we got that a week earlier! Its been 2 weeks today since that though and im still waiting for the midwifes to call me! Will be ringing them tomorrow as im starting to feel impatient and anxious again! Just want to know my little ones ok!! Have been feeling fine all of this week last week i was poorly through most of it! eeewww!! Damn sickness!! I havnt actually had many symptoms at all this week hope this isnt a bad thing???? Mood has settled down a little but im still really paranoid!! LOL! Dreaming silly things about Justin all the time! I know he wouldnt do anything though so dont know why i worry!! hehe!! x x

We have had quite a few appointments with our midwife now and i am finally starting to show a little, we had our scan today and we are 13 weeks and 4 days! Making us due in September rather then October. The baby was very sleepy and wasnt moving much but the heart was beating away and we got to see a little movement which is cool! Makes it so much more realistic now cant stop looking at the scan pics! hehe! They are on here with my other photos if you want to see my little angel. Quite big at 76.3mm from the head to its bottom not sure where the height comes from LOL!! Our next appt is 16th April when we get our results from my bloods back and only around 7 weeks until our next scan when we hope to find out the sex of our little one. 2nd trimester yay!! Going sooo quick for me! Plus i am not feeling to poorly anymore so its becoming enjoyable. x x x

Had our 16 week appt with the midwife on Wednesday and got all our blood results back. Everything is fine except i am Rhesus Negative blood DOH!! Justin had to be very very brave and have his blood taken bless him, Hopefully the results will come back as Negative too. If it is Positive then i will have to have Anti D injections. The babies heart beat was great though and the midwife felt my belly and said the whomb all felt great! We have to wait for our appt to come through now for our 20/21 week scan and then our next appt with the midwife not till 11th June! Sounds like ages away but i know it will all fly round! I bought a doppler too so can listen to the heart beat whenever we want soo cute! Been getting slight movement too and hoping to feel baby proper kick and hiccup soon! Getting bigger everyday now too hehe!! Thanks again for all your advice ladies your brilliant!! x x

Well next midwife apointment on the 11th June turn 22 weeks tomorrow almost 6 months pregnant cant believ how quick it really has been going! I have had my 20 week scan and its a little boy which i was really happy about! My belly is growing more and more by the day and i am now feeling my little man move every day so strong!! Justin felt it for the first time the other night too and he was really made up! bless him! Craving doughnuts mainly the round ringed rolo types yummy!! My boobs have began to leak the last couple of weeks too which is gorgeous hehe!! At least i know i can produce!! Mood swings have been coming back with a vengence one minute im up in the clouds the next i just want to lay in bed all day and cry! I think i may be getting on Justins nerves alot because of it too. I dont mean to its just the way i feel finding it hard to keep a good emotional balance you know?! Well anouther 3 1/2 months and my little hero will be here so excited!! His pram arrived the other day and been buying lots of little cute clouthes really all happening now!! x x

Well, I had baby Cerys Tuesday at 1847 - she weighed 6lb 11oz!! I only got home yesterday so that's why it took so long for me to reply to everyone!

I read you comment and it wasnt rude at all. At about 17-19 weeks right after I had an orgasm I belly would get really tight and cramp. It has stopped now but it doesnt hurt the baby at all so dont worry. But I know how you are feeling it was really weird and freaky when it would happen.

i read somewhere that when you orgasm, the uterus contracts a bit and that its perfectly safe for the babe. the book states that the baby would feel the tightening "like a little hug" Isnt that cute!! Maybe thats why he was so active!! I deffinately wouldnt give up the toy because of some extra movement!!

Hey, read your big blog. I too use a vibrator, but only on the outside. I am not sure if the vibrator is too strong sometimes. I have read that with a vibrator you reach a harder and stronger orgasam and could effect contractions that follow. I used one all the way through with my first pregnancy and had no problems. So, the kicking was more likely the baby riding the contractions of muscels around the the baby. This will not hurt the baby- it may be fun! I would watch and see it you have strong contractions as you progress and you may need to back off from using a vibrator. Sex is boring without a little help! I would ask your midwife also and see what she thinks.

Kelly - I've heard that whenever you orgasm it tightens your muscles so your baby feels like he's getting a hug. Maybe baby boy just felt uncomfortable with the little squeeze you gave him. I have talked to my doctor about sex and sex toys and she said it's all completely normal. Just like with my last pregnancy my sex drive has gone through the roof and if it's not my husband...it's my toys

i just saw your post. i totally am on the same page as you when it comes to being very clingy with your man. i've noticed the same thing in me. i've NEVER been worried about him cheating, or jealous of him being around other girls, he's never given me one reason to be that way, but all of a sudden now that i'm pregnant...i dont go one DAY without thinking of what he is capable of, or what he could be doing around those girls at work. i'm very jealous, and want him near me all the time.
i've talked to him about it, and told him my hormones are making me very insecure and i just really need his support right now and to be patient. he was surprisingly very understanding and loving about it. when i make comments about "Oh so you're gonna go spend all day with those girls at work...." or something he's very sweet and knows not ot get defensive and will just kiss and reassure me that i have nothing to worry about. maybe you should talk to yours about it? give him a heads up and ask him to be patient with you too. maybe you'll both feel a bit better with it out in the open and addressed.
about the sex toy, i really dont think you hurt him. i think he was just responding to the feelings you were feeling, especially the adrenaline. i would be more worried if you STOPPED feeling him. i also read that orgasms make your uterus contract a bit, so that could be why he kicks so much too.
i havent had too many problems with bleeding gums, but i hear thats normal too because of all the blood we have, that skin in your mouth is just weaker than the skin on our body...

Hey there. I just wanted to relate to a couple of the things you brought up in your post. Yes, I do get depressed, specially the last few weeks and for no particular reason but usually I wake up the next day feeling better or after I have had a good cry. I don't have a partner, I found out I was pregnant 6 days after I broke up with him but decided we could be friends and raise the baby as single parents. He lives in another state. The tightening after orgams, that is totally normal. I actually just posted a comment about that. It is probably either the uterus just contracting which is normal, or it could even be the baby moving. I know it sounds kinda wierd, but my midwife says the baby likes the way the uterus contracts during and after orgasm, it alomost soothes them, so they move around a little after you have one and yes, my gums bleed like crazy. I can't even floss anymore. They never did that before I was preggers but the other night my two front teeth literally dipped blood all in my mouth. I use a lot of strong mouth wash and that seems to sooth my gums and cut down on the bleeding.
YOu seem to be having the same pregnancy journey as me, hang in there, you will have your good days and the not so good days. I just think of the day I get to see my baby face to face and that cheers me up.

hey girl! i am the same way...i am a little clingy, and lately my husband seems to be running away...but the thing is...i think he is running away, when he is really just doing what he normally does. we are in this pregnancy almost alone...we have to watch what we eat, and get bigger and do everything for us and the baby, and he just gets to go on like everything is normal. its not his fault...he just doesn't understand because its not happening to him. take walks with him or do something just for you two every evening that doesn't take too long so he can also have his time. :) this take a toll on him, we just can't see it! i am sure he is nervous and scared, but he doesn't express himself. :) hope this helps!!!

hi i am from week 30 and i red your post arh bless ya ! well 1- bleeding gums is usually normal in pregnancy with nothing to worry about but if it is really bad tell your midwife for peice of mind . 2- you will feel alot more clingy now your pregnant due to the fact that you may feel less attractive to your partner as he may not want sex all the time anymore but thats usually because they think they are going to hurt you or baby (my partner thinks he will poke the baby in the head as it is head down now i told him to get over himself he aint that big lol!!) and 3- sex and sex toys are great and fine during pregnancy unless you have been bleeding but other than that it is fine also the baby started kicking because when you have an orgasm the baby feels like it is having a hug so it responds by wiggling . i hope this helps huni and you look graet in your pics xx CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR PREGNANCY XXXX

hey is aw your comment about ur baby not moving.. i was SO worried yesterday because he wasnt active at all! and he was active a couple days before.. lik really active and suddenly afterwards i felt nothing and i panicked yesterday. but then today he started moving again. i guess some days our babies are just tired or not active. or it could be that they're moving and we dont feel it. i got an ultrasound on friday and i saw my baby move but i didnt feel it... so i guess its nothing to worry over youre not alone!

hi kellyp,just noticed ur comment on the forum!
im 25 weeks and always felt baby move at regular times! but last weekend i had one movement in 48 hours! i was worried sick, everyone was telling me not to worry, which i think is easily said. but as an expectant mother worry is inbuilt
!but i was really sick sunday night and was admitted to the materinty ward, when they scanedme baby was doing aerobics! flipping everywhere, summersaults, but i didnt feel them!
baby has so much room in there still and u wont feel every movement!
however if u are woried contact ur midwife and they can arrange a check for u! try not to worry!

Hi, how are you? Yes, the moving one day ans no so much another is normal. It is just like us, some days we feel like moving and others we are not so active. The baby could be moving, but could be more of a swimming than kicking. Try drinkinkg something very sweet and lay on your left side-this really gets the baby moving. I had some sorbet and layed on my left side and he went ape shit!

Hey hun!! How are you?? I had same prob as u the other day, i had jus got back from a weeks holiday, and he was movin loads, then the day after i got back he wasnt movin like at all and i panicked so much! But then late at night he really started to kick, i think it just suits them when they want to really dont they! It is horrible thou ent it, i panic so much when i dont feel him move/wriggle/kick for like an hour but i need to stop bein so anxious! Glad ur feelin movement now chick!! I think it's normal for them to not move as much sometimes. Try drinking something sweet like juice or a drink then lay on your left side or back for a little bit. If my little one isn't moving or hasn't moved for a while that's what I do just to make sure she's ok. You can always call your Dr also if you're really worried about it. And about the moods, I've went through whole weeks were all I did was cry and was just SO depressed and hating everything. It's just your hormones :) The things we go through for our little ones :) But it's all worth is to be able to bring this wonderful gift of joy and life into the world. Won't be too much longer and you'll be able to hold your little boy! Keep your chin up, it'll be ok. If you get really upset about something try going shopping for your little one :) That always helps me too!
