Sounds like your plug - yep if tinged with blood it is considered the show also. I have been loosing mine for 3 days but nothing yet... officially 4 days overdue:( Good Luck!

I THINK that your mucas plug and your show are pretty much the same thing except with a show the plug comes out with a small amount of blood x

Good luck with everything chick - I'm sure you'll be fine - you've made me feel better about having a sweep, I've never had an internal and if I gety to 7 days over (on weds 14th - I'm 2 days over now) they are coming out to give me a sweep - I have visions of the miswife being there with her whole arm stuck up me lol!

I wish they didn't want to check me! Had some bad experiences in the past. This Dr. was very gentle, though...Since it's your first, you'll probably do most of your dilating once you go into labor, because your cervix hasn't done this before. So even though you haven't had many contractions, it'll definitely happen anyway, just all at once. Be glad- I've been having some mean cramping for 3 1/2 weeks now, and I'm only at 1 1/2 cm, 70% effaced. I would rather have it happen when there are painkillers available...

well sometimes i can feel tenderness but i dont know if thats the weight of the baby...but just no signs of anything happening!! im so glad were in may now!! every pain or twang i feel in my belly sends me into praying overdrive...5 of my friends have given birth on the last few weeks and its soo annoyng to see them all happy and getting on with parenthood! i feel no closer to being a mum then i did in week 25 lol.. ill keep praying for both of us lol.ill keep u company in week 42 lol xxx

hiya. im from the uk im 40 weeks 2morra,my midwife hasnt really said anything to me apart from come back nxt week. she did tell me id be induced 12 days after my due date which is the 14th may,so it really is just a waiting game im afraid. i wish my baba would make a appearance but im comfy so im not too frustrated.xxx
