About Us:

My husband and I met in 2000 and married in November 2005. My husband was not one to talk about children or the future so I left the subject on the down-low. Finally after 8 years together , reliable transportation, and a home of our own... I was starting to wonder about having a "family together" Yes, I cried over the subject. In reality nobody can actually be perfectly prepared for children...We just had to make it work.

Pre-Conception
Our 2nd anniversary had passed in November 2007. My little cousin had just given birth to a baby boy. I was going to met him for the first time on Christmas. My husband and I gave it plenty of thought and decided to get off of birth control and begin to plan a family. Then I was so worried I would not be able to get pregnant, etc.

December 2007: My period came and went. I knew I had a window of time to get pregnant but my husband's job transfered right after Christmas. He's a welder and travels here and there. I was so upset because he left right before I ovulated. There was a slim chance I could have gotten pregnant ...so I took a pregnancy test almost every week until I started my period in January. Then I quit taking my pre-natal vitamins because he was going to be gone for 3 months.

January 2008: I have the house to myself. I started my period on January 21, 2008. I started to track everything to ensure my body was "regular." I was on the Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor. (I perticipated in a A&M Study on fertility several years back and got to keep the pregnancy test and monitor). My husband thought I was over doing everything etc. but he is the ONE that wanted to plan out everything.

Feberary 2008: It's actually the first week of the month and according to my fertility monitor, I'm "high." It's best to have intercourse during the "high" and my body will usually be in that mode for 3 days before I ovulate. I sent my husband a text message and told him the news, but then he called and said he was driving to Oklahoma in the morning. (I live in Texas) I'm thinking like Fed Ex or DHL, right? LOL Whatever..that's never happing.

February 3, 2008: My husband came home and scarred the crap out of me!! I started shaking and freaking out at 5 AM. The little liar was actually comming home...NOT going to Oklahoma. Under normal conditions I would have turned my back to sex because I was pissed off he scarred me like that, but deep down inside ...I WAS OVULATING IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS!! We had a spontanious night.

February 4, 2008: I was ovulation according to my monitor. I showed my husband and he had no response. I hate to ask for it you know...so I just walked away and assumed that if he really wanted a child, then he knew what to do. I wasn't going to push it on him.

Februay 5, 2008: Surprize.. I was ovuatiting again?!? Wow...two days in a roll. Same thing happened though. My husband started to get scarred at the fact of having children. And ignorned the fact I was ovulating.

Februayr 6, 2008: I'm low. My chances for the month are over. ::frown:: Then I started to make a big deal. I couldn't even talk to him in his face. It was upsetting. But there was still a chance from 3 days ago!

February 14, 2008: Valentines day. I tested "just because"and I got a negative result. I thought that would be a good valentines surprise.

February 17, 2008: I had to pee so bad but I didn't want my husband to know I was "testing" I had to hold it until he finished brushing his teeth. Agghh... Then he had to go to the restroom. La la la...Anyways, I like 5 minutes later I was able to pee and had a POSITIVE result!! I couldn't believe it. It was like a very faint line. But I tested so many times before in January that I knew the difference. (I had stocked up on like 4 different types of test) All of them were positive.

Now the fun part. My husband was watching TV in bed. I wanted to laugh and scream in joy but I crawed back into bed and said, "I got a positive result" Then I brought him the test and showed him. He didn't say a word. Like 30 minutes later we were getting ready to get breakfast and he said, "How about Abigail for a girl." Aww...

I was so nervous to tell my family. I didn't know how or when but I told my grandma first. She had the biggest smile on her face!! I know the risk for miscarrage is still high, so I didn't really want to get excited about the situation.

March 6, 2008: First Doctor visit. Confirmed pregnacy. My next doctor visit was next week and I was going to have my first u/s.

March 12, 2008: Heart beat was 152 beats per minute. 8cm and I'm 7 weeks and 2 days. Due October 28, 2008. Everything looks healthy and going great!!

March 15, 2008: Still no signs of morning sickness or anything else. It was my little cousin's quincenera and over 100 relatives were there....now everybody knows. But besides the 4 lbs I've gained, I still don't feel pregnant. And I hate people that walk up to me saying, "ohh...I've had 5 micarrages, etc" It just worries me. I want to be excited but I guess I just want to know for sure that everything is okay. It is so cute to look at my little baby on the u/s photos stuck on the refrigerator. That's reassuring.

April 11, 2008: Quick appointment today. Ahh ha! I only gained 2 lbs. What a freaking relief cause I know I'll be growing muy grande!! Pee in a cup, blood presure okay, previous lab work normal, tempertature good. And then...it was time for the heart beat. It took forever to find!! I told the nurse...well, I was thinking...'how can I say this without being totally harsh....but is IT dead' There is no way I could possibly say, "did MY baby die" I would have cried just saying those words. But noo....my little lemon was hiding on my side waayyy down low. She didn't tell me how many BPM. But she said it was good. That was it. I was on my way. My next appointment will be blood work to check for all those bad deformalities. Wish me luck.

May 2, 2008: Gained 4 lbs. Doing well. Heart beat is exactly 150. Clear from blood work until next time. I'll be able to find out what I'm having in 6 more weeks. Can't wait to buy cute little pink dresses or rough little blue jeans. I finally got to MEET the doctor. Nope, it wasn't my dr. But the other one who works in the office. He was a cutie. Very informative and helpful. I think I might switch doctors. Does anybody else have horrible heart burn and sinus problems? It's killing me.

May 12, 2008: My baby is moving!! It feels more like slight pinching from the inside. Doesn't hurt but feels completely strange. LOL...the baby stays up at night. Typical huh?

May 20, 2008: My work was too stressful. I was seriously crying and throwing up. I quit. Just like that...after 6 years.

I had a 3D/4D ultrasound done...and she is so so so adorable! Her little ankles were crossed and she had her arms crossed in front of her chest, then she rasied them up to her face and stretched...then touched her ears. I got about 20 photos of her. I'll find a way to scan them online. Her heart beat was 144. Oh and her profile was really cute also. Adorable little nose and chin. My husband called everybody on his address book.

Gained 3 lbs. Wow..I'm up to 161. Doctor said that was okay and she wasn't worried about it, but you should see my rear end. I did all those yucky test today. I'll have the results in about a week or so...not that it matter cause I'M HAVING A BABY GIRL!! Oh and I went shopping today for little pink and purple outfits. Whoo hoo!!!

I haven't been able to update my baby log like I wanted to, so I'll just update everything in a nutshell. I switched Doctors. I am doing so much better. Well, actually this new doctor put me on a diet. 1800 cal. The old doctor office was like..."you are just fine." I'm like 170 or something. WOW. Catching up to my husband. I did the sugar test and everything is fine. I'm supposed to do a kick count nightly, but baby Abigail is so freaking LAZY!! My sister "Felt" the baby kick two days ago. She totally freaked out. I love it when she moves. I drink tons of cold water and ice cream because she sleeps and sleeps. I really wish I could see her right now. 3 more months to go!!

I don't even want to mention my weight gain! Everything is good. Dr. didn't get mad...I'm not swolen or anything. I go for another ultra sound on Friday the 15th. I'm so tired lately, but they checked my blood and everything is good.

Ultrasound!! She is growing big. She weighs about 3 lbs 7 oz. Pretty cool huh? Anyways, the nurse said she has my nose and my husbands ears. Aww...her pictures are so cute. I can't wait to hold her in my arms!!

heyy.. im still a 3 as far as i know and that was almost a wk ago ..last monday.. i started losing my plug on wednesday tho and my bacc pain has stopped.. so now im not having ne kind of labor pains ?? ..i go back monday to the dr and he told me if i hadnt had him by then [since mah d day is wednesday] he'll scheduale me to b induced thurs o friday. wish me luck (=
