MySpace Comments Hi I'm Keri, I am about 10 weeks pregnant, very very excited!! I have 1 little boy that is 7. He is so excited also! It has been a long time for us! I actually wanted to wait till my son was older so he could kind of help out some!! This pregnancy has been so different for me. I have been really sick, starting now though to get a little better, but I still have my moments believe me! I really hope that it goes away completely soon! I am thinking that this one is a girl, but I could be wrong. Sense I have had a miscarriage before they did an u/s on me and she did see a heart beat of 160 beats per min. I will have another doc appointment this month so we can actually hear the heartbeat! I will be very excited to hear her/his heartbeat! I have had the awfulest food aversions ever! I can't even explain it, it's so weird. I have horrible tastes in my mouth that drives me insane! Maybe by the time I'm 13 weeks these crazy things will go away. I found this website and so far have loved everything it has to offer about pregnancy!
August 31st
Well, things are moving a long smoothly, I am now almost 13 weeks, went to the doc on Friday heard a heartbeat of about 170. I was so excited to hear the heartbeat. I am still praying everyday for a girl, though who knows' it might be a boy! I am still nauseous at times. I still cannot eat much meat, which is weird. I have lost 5lbs, the doc said I should gain around 25 to 35lbs. We shall see! I have to eat on time everyday or I am a complete mess! Lots of bagels!
October 7th
Well it has been a better month for me. My sickness has gotten better, though I do have my times. We did the 3/d ultrasound and it is a girl! We are so excited! It is the best feeling in the world!!! I cannot wait to start buying for her. I have no idea what we will name her, but I love the name Ema. Still trying to think about it. My son is excited/but jealous a little, having some issues with him this month. I think because he knows we are so excited about the baby! He's been the only child for 7 years. I feel bad, but I know that he will get used to it eventually. I just tell him that he has a very important roll in her life! He's going to be a big brother! He seems to get better when I explain things to him. My whole family is so excited. My sisters have 4 boys and 2 girls, so we needed this girl and then on Bruces side of the family they have no girls! So this was a real blessing! If you ever want something really bad, PRAY! it works!

This past month has been a good one, so much better I would say with my morning sickness. I am definately showing now! I am up much higher with this pregnancy. I have been eating like a horse, and I have gained over 10lbs. I did my Glucose test today but, I won't know anything for a little while. I hope it's negative, my iron was low, but I plan on getting that back to normal. We went camping this past week, and weekend, and it was so much fun, other then it was just really uncomfortable with me being pregnant! LOL. My sister has a nice camper but 9 people is a lot! We had a good time though. I am ready for this baby girl to come! She is pushing down on everything. I'm sure it will only get worse lol!!! The good news is I've only got 115 more days or so!! Yah! I saw her on my ultrasound I had today, she is so cute. I couldn't see her real well, but I plan on having another 3/d u/s done at 30 weeks. I am 24 weeks today.
1-17-2008
Well it's been 32 weeks, and I am about ready to have her! Of course she will have to stay in their for a while longer, but we did decide on a name. Emilee Lynn! I cannot wait to see her face for the first time. I've had some major heartburn, and it's been awful.. I've had a lot of aches and pains, and the braxton hicks are even painful at times! I am eating so much! I feel like that is all I ever do anymore is eat. I've gained 17lbs so far, but will go tomorrow to my ob to see how much I've gained over the last 2 weeks! I had some very strange discharge the other night, thinking it could have been my mucus plug, but I'm not sure, they say you can lose that weeks early! Everything seems to be going good, we had a baby shower for her, and got so much stuff!! I cannot wait to dress her up in all her little outfits! I feel her move all day every day just about! She sit's right up under my ribs, but kicks my bladder to, OUCH! Can't wait till she get's here!! 8 more weeks till I'm 40 weeks, but hopefully I will have her at 38 weeks! LOL

Well I am going on 37 weeks, well I am 36 and 4 days. I am so ready to have her, I've had some complications over the last month or so.. Started having period like cramping at 33 weeks, so I decided to go in, and sure enough it was contractions, they stopped it with a trebutaline shot, and I went back home. Well they came back the next night, and I had to go back to the hospital, where I had to stay all weekend, 48 hours on the Magnesium Sulfate, it was pretty rough, but It was worth it to keep her in the oven! She is now around 6lbs, so I feel so much better knowing that she's safe. I am 2cm, and fully effaced, and I cannot wait to have her now, I have had a few mild contractions but they go away, so I try to deal with them, until I know it's really time.. At 35 weeks I started dealing with a whole seperate issue, I started measuring lower, like measuring 33 weeks instead of 35 weeks, and they did an ultrasound and found out her fluid levels are a little on the low side, 8.6, and I think they like to see a 10. So I have been getting weekly u/sounds to make sure her levels don't drop anymore, last week they were the same, I am just drinking a lot of water, if they do go down anymore then they will induce. I hope she can atleast stay in there till next week, but at the same time I am so tired of being pregnant, and carrying all this extra weight, I am tired! I cannot wait to see her, it won't be long now!!! YAH!

hm, not sure why they'd not tell you, but a fever is a fever and just having the tylenol in the house makes me feel better, even if I never use it. good luck with the shots; i'm sure the adorable miss emmilee will do great!

hi there - it is nerve wracking to deal with the shots, but every baby deals with it differently. have some infant tylenol on hand for afterward. some babies run fevers after vaccinations and it's good to be prepared if yours does and if the injection sites are sore. my little one had 3 shots & an oral vaccine & ran a slight fever the next day. I gave him tylenol 2x and he was fine by day 3. other than the fever, he was very sleepy, but syill woke regularly to feed.

Oh no girl! I totally know what your going through, I went through it with Kaden, my first. He spit up alot, and within 5-20 minutes after feeding he was sooo squirmy and crying pretty bad, he would even arch his back and get stiff when he cried, does Emilee do that? I wonder if she has acid reflux or maybe colichy? Sometimes mixing with formula helps calm their tummys, but I remember with my first I was so animate about wanting to breastfeed, in hindsight I wish I had been more open to formula, but do what ever you have to do to make it work for you and her, so you can get some sleep. I literally had to sleep with Kaden on my chest, it was like if I didn't hold him he'd cry, so id breastfeed till we both fell asleep, but if I recall, the acid reflux medication helped alittle, although in Kaden's case I think he was both colichy AND had acid reflux. Well, let me know what the Dr. says tomorrow. Maybe its the foods your eating?? Anyways, your labor does sound ALOT like mine...how funny! I also think thats why we were able to push them out so quickly is because we could feel more. So you wouldn't believe this, yesterday I took my first real outing with the both Trevor and Kaden to my girlfriends house for a playdate (Easter egg hunt party for the toddlers)..., I hesitated going because she lives on the other side of town and I hate traveling with Trevor being just a few weeks, plus were getting those good ole texas thunder and rain storms, well on my way home it was pouring so hard you couldnt hear and I thought great, I knew I shouldnt have driven in this just as I leave her place and get on to the highway, here comes this Toyota Tundra spinning out of control right toward me from across the other lane, he must have been going too fast around the turn and I saw him fishtale and just start spinning from pertty far away and I slowed way down thinking he'd pass me, but he just kept spinning crossing over to my line and both our front ends hit.....We are suprisingly all okay so far..but ofcourse its hard to tell with little ones, amazingly his truck had most the damage, my neck and back are hurting today, but I truly had an angel watching over us or something because we are safe and sound back home...the good thing is I have a toyota sequoia and the airbags didn't even go off which meant it was low impact by the time he hit me, he was slowing down im sure, so that was good. Anwyays, crazy I know! But I don't plan on driving with little ones anytime soon, thats for sure! Okay, let me know how you all are doing after the apt! Talk to you soon! OMG!!!!!! I can't believe it! She is finally here, and wow does she look so much like you!! Okay, so first and foremost, I am soooo sorry I havent corresponded sooner...as you know, things have been crazy these past two weeks, so I had Trevor Chase on February 28, 2008 at 2:43am...7lbs even, 18 3/4 inches long. :o) He has TONS of black hair and so tiny it seems! He sleeps ALOT and only wakes to eat so I couldn't ask for a more perfect little guy. Its Kaden thats more work actually, i've been tending more to him it seems with this whole adjustment. He loves loves loves his brother, but just wants all my time it seems. Trevor only wakes once at night anywhere from 2 to 4 but it seems that Kaden wants to wake around then too...and one of the nights I was feeding the baby and Kaden woke wanting me to sleep with him in HIS bed - he would have nothing to do with coming in my bed while I fed baby, so that was kinda hard, but otherwise, no complaints, he's feeding good and but boy those cramps from feeding kill this time around, they say its worse with your second, etc. Okay, let me know how your doing and how baby is doing too, what did you end up naming her?? I could probably look at your page and it will tell me, okay, I've been thinkin aboutchya and meant to write way sooner, but family just left a few days ago and im finally catching up with things! We went the other day to get his newborn pics, I will try and post those too, but I will post some home pics we took as well. K, big hugs and let me know how your doing.
PS - How did delivery go? Mine went okay....kinda long story, but in sum, I went in around 6ish, they got me all hooked up by 8, I was already apparently in labor 1-2 minutes when I went in and almost fully effaced and they said I probably would have come in to have him in the next day or so anyways, but I had no idea I was even contracting (must had been used to them I guess???) So no pitocen at first but after about 2 hours they finally gave me a little to get things going more and the epidural to follow. So that was at about 10:00 or 10:30, epidural was scary at first, I layed down flat and felt the stuff go up my back and numbed my chest all the way up to my face, but once they sat me up I went away...but my heartrate kept dropping and I would feel like I was going to faint so they gave me ephederin about 3 or 4 times, but I guess thats totoally normal with epidurals...it finally all got much better after about an hour. So from 11 till 2, I just hung out and waited not really feeling anything, but by 2ish, I all of a sudden started feeling my contractions and they were pretty intense, so I called the nurse to say the epidural was no longer working I had thought, and she checked me and said no its just your almost ready to push and about that time I felt like I need to push really really bad, I could totally feel the burning down there and everything!!! But it was about half the pain as if it was working a little but not alot, you know? Anyways, from about 2:15-2:43 I pushed and out he came! It was really quick, I think because I could feel where to push, much different than my first, with Kaden I had to be told when to push cuz I couldn't feel a thing!!! Anyways, that was it! Hi, This is also my second pregnancy. Im due March 12. I am 75% effaced and dilated to 1cm. I wish it were more! Good luck and hopefully you'll be dilated more.

thanks! we truly are in the same boat :-)....I now have my husband running after me with all the possible home remedies to kick start labor...you name it, the castor oil, sex, massaging certain pressure points, etc. Patience is definitely a virtue!

Yah, let me tell you about those darn hormones....sheez, I can't seem to control them, my poor husband has been watching me pace and re-clean the same things several times, im going coo-coo!! lol! Well, ironically i've slowed down too, absolutely NOTHING, my contractions are like not even coming but maybe 3 or 4 a day! Its really weird, infact, im starting to feel like im going backwards as if im only 8 months prego again. Well, the funny thing is my induction is still set for....TOMORROW!! Yep, im freakin out girl. I almost think its too early since my due date based on measurments is 03/06, but I just think its too soon! I guess my dr. is figuring the steroids progressed things and one week early won't hurt...but really im shocked, most dr's wont do that, it could be also because she is leaving on her spring vacation march 8th and she wants to be sure she does the delivery maybe?? Anyways, regardless, I get to the hospital tomorrow evening at 6 and the induction is to begin at 7....if my hubby brings his laptop, I will try and post something either late late that night or Thusday morning....okay...so this is it I guess...wish me luck as baby Trevor begins his little journey...it just feels too soon though :o( ...alright, talk to you soon!!!!

So the furniture I bought and they still have it at Babies-r-us (pretty inexpensive too), the bedding is too cute and yes they DO have it in Pink and brown, sooooo cute, but its about 350 is what I paid for it (4 piece set), so if you end up really wanting it, I could probably call the store I got it from and have them ship it to you free of charge I bet. It is a specialty type of designer, but it is sooo pretty and comfy...or if you want go to www.chasing-fireflies.com and they will have it there, too, its by House Inc. is the designer...now as for your contractions, start walking up and down them stairs missy...we need to have our little ones at the same time, he he!! Okay girl, so today was the apt, sorry it took me a while to write, but you wouldn't believe my day!! So my doc who was supposed to see me was in a delivery and I ended up seeing her husband who is also an OB with her, funny I know...well no biggie except he is this huge guy with big sausage fingers!!! Yah, I know...and he comes in and does the exam and while he's checking me he says 'lets see if this will get you going' or something to that affect...and he does this rough exam and OUCH! it hurt girl! Anyways, he said I had no major change in dilation but just a tiny bit, but that I went from 50 to 60% effaced and said its just a matter of time and didn't think i'd make to my induction date which apparently they went ahead and scheduled for this Wednesday evening at 7. Soooo, about and hour goes by and I am getting these horrible period like lower back aches and frontal aches along with contractions ofcourse. And ofcourse they get worse, and im like 'Great' im really not quite ready (but who really is) but I just have a few more things I need to get done!! So by about 7 tonight until 9ish, I was contracting pretty hard every 2-3 minutes...I knew I should have gone in, but I am determind to make it to my induction date, sooo, I finally layed down and sure enough, they've subsided here a bit and right now im about every 10 minutes, but my lower back still kinda aches even in between! Okay, well, its a waiting game at this point and I think the only thing that will get me to go in right now is if my water breaks, lol! Okay, wish me luck and let me know if you've had any changes either! I will try and keep you posted daily so I dont leave ya hanging, but if you don't hear from me in more than two days, then i'm probably at the hosptal!! I AM SOOO NERCOUS!!! K, hugs! Deb

Yep, this is funny, you keep validating what im feeling too, its like we are exactly the same! Everytime i lay on my left or right side, my hips start to ache or feel brusied too and then it seems I just can't get comfortable! And if its not that, im getting up to go pee, so some nights I tell ya...I just hold off on the extra water thing! ha ha. Oh but as for the hips... the pillow between the legs helps though a little....oh and yes, I was a little more than 50% effaced she said last week at my visit. So tomorrow I go in and find out if anything has changed again. But really, I can't imagine dilating anymore than this because I would think anything after a 4 or 5 even, you'd pretty much be in the hospital having the baby, right? Plus I would have to feel more pain...don't get me wrong..im definetly not super comfy, but not as bad as I was with my first....maybe because I had him in late summer, the swelling made it more uncomfortable...im not that swollen with this one, how are you in that regard? Well, nevertheless, it will be interesting to see if i've changed, but I highly doubt it! Okay, lots a luv and hugs and try and shoot for the 28th, thats when I think I will have him, only because I know it will end up being an induction...so walk some stairs the day before and we can have them on the same day, he he, okay just kiddin! lol! tty tomorrow! deb

Well don't get discouraged, before we know it, it will happen, and then we'll be thinking, omg, it was soooo much easier when I was pregnant, what was I complaining about, lol, haha! I only say that, because it seemed just yesterday I was pregn. with Kaden and couldnt wait to have him, then when I did, ohhhhh lordy, I didn't know what I was in for!!! So, I will go in the day after tomorrow and will find out my changes if any too. I know it always seems like we must have dialted a bunch, and then nothing...but really, you could be at a 1 and really low and booom it happens, or at a 4 like me and up high, and nothing for a while....soooo hang in there..also, i will let you know too on Friday what my doc says, although today it feels like my bones down there are bruised and I know this sounds odd, but I feel like I road a horse, as if my legs or that area is spread way open....well, technically I am a 4, lol, so I guess im not far off, ha ha. Okay joking aside, I will say a little prayer for ya and I do kinda hope we have them on the same day...but most importantly that your little princess stays in there as long as she needs too. Hey and thanks for the sweet comments on the pics, it always feels good when at this point all you feel like is a big ole whale! he he. Okay, also, I thought that was interesting that they are inducing us at 39 weeks, I forgot to ask my doc, but usually they wont go before the 40th week, but I bet it must be because both you and I got those steroid shots (at least I was thinking you did, right?) anyways, my date is set for the 27th or 28th, she's letting me choose between 7 at night on 27th or 7 am on 28th, i think i'll go for the morning if I haven't already had him, which I also feel like I wont either....oh and be careful with the patossin if they induce, my friend is a L&D nurse and she said the potossen will make your contractions much more intense and painful, so to get the epidural first if you can. Now I know why with Kaden, I was in soooo much pain at 4 and 5 and right now im not at all....food for thought...k love, Deb

Okay, this is getting soooo funny now...guess what! After I got off my email, I noticed from sitting I was contracting more, so I went in to take a nice warm showere and go to bed, well...guess what happened, apparently when I went in to labor at 29 weeks I had only lost part of my plug and I do recall my doc saying it can actually grow back....well, after drying off, all of a sudden, I swore my water broke, except it was my plug!!! Not be gross or too graphic, but I figure since were both prego its safe, but it was like syupy but clear, ewwwwe! But I swear like a half a cup, I know tmi, but anyways, I started contracting 5 min apart pretty consistantly, and my husband was ready to get us in the car and go...and I said absolutely not, not until im 2 min apart, (they weren't super painful otherwise I would have) but since my madre is not here yet, I was like there is NO WAY im having this baby tonight...so mind over matter I guess, haha, cuz I laid down and tried relaxing and it worked, they slowed down and now today I just feel like im head to bone, uncomfortable but contractions are not consistant....oh and my mom is on a plane as I write and it gets in at 12:45 tonight...crazy huh!? Okay, will let you know more, I still think I could go another week too...I heard that full moon thing is true too, lol! Hugs and prayers, Deb

PS - Regarding the fluid level, keep me posted and is there anything they have you doing such as drinking more water, etc? I would think as long its not going down, you should be okay, but definetly keep me updated....regardless if she is already 6 lbs, you should be good to go...hey maybe you and I will have them on the same day??? Wouldn't that be too funny?

Hey, wow, ya those kicks can get pretty painful, sometimes when he kicks or pushes his feet out, I feel like my skin is going to tear! lol! So I had my OB check today....and you will never believe this! I am dilated to a 4 now, yep! 50% effaced and still a -2, but OMG, i remember with Kaden, I went in at 3.5 cm in absolute pain and contractions close, they had me walk for 1/2 hour around the hallways, then checked again and was just passed 4...which apparently is the golden dilation mark that they can admit you to have baby. Soooo, wow, here I am 4 and with the exception of those tight-take your breathe away contractions, the pain isn't so bad...I could have gone in, but I am opting to stay home either until pain gets too intense or water breaks, which ever is first....my dr. said she has another patient who is between a 4 and 5 and has been waiting it out for a week now and still no change in dilation, so that COULD happen to me, but we'll see. I am just keeping my legs crossed anyways, because I have a few more days till my mom arrives and I really really need her! (what do we do w/out our moms you know!) he he. Okay, please please keep me posted and when the contractions get painful or keep you up at night in bed, drink water and put a pillow between your legs and lay sideways, they say, left side is best. Also, did you pack a bag yet? I did the other day but feel like im going to forget something....make sure when u pack a pair of PJ's, that you get the dress kind, I originally packed this really cute victoria secret tank and sweat set, but realized they have to check you and I HATE sleeping in those gross gowns they give you...just food for thought!! my fluids were low at a 8.2 then the next week i went in they were at a 9 then the next week at a 10.2....so, i started drinking a lot more water, and even though they said it has nothing to do with it, it seems to have helped...
